Mi estancia en este hotel de 4 estrellas en Venecia fue una experiencia que dejó mucho que desear. Aunque las zonas comunes lucían elegantes, las habitaciones eran sorprendentemente pequeñas y modestas, con un baño anticuado que parecía sacado de otra época (le hace falta una reforma). Durante la última noche, enfrentamos problemas con la temperatura debido a unas ventanas viejas que no aislaban correctamente.

El desayuno, lejos de cumplir con el estándar de calidad esperado de un hotel de esta categoría, fue bastante sencillo y carecía de opciones saladas calientes, así como de una tostadora adecuada. Además, el zumo de máquina no ofrecía la frescura esperada, dejando mucho que desear en términos de calidad y variedad.

En cuanto a la ubicación, si bien es conveniente para acceder desde el aeropuerto, está un poco alejado de las zonas turísticas principales, lo que puede resultar incómodo para aquellos que deseen explorar la ciudad a pie. En resumen, este hotel parece estar sobrevalorado, ya que no cumple con las expectativas propias de un establecimiento de 4 estrellas en términos de comodidad, servicios y calidad.

No way this is a 4 star hotel!! The queen bed was worn out and hard as a rock. I stayed on a 4 Celsius night and had no heat. None. I asked the desk about the heat and the gentleman suggested we use more blankets. The room had mold on some of the corners of the walls. Only 1/2 of the tv channels worked. The hotel desperately needs updating. Better lighting, new linens, new mattresses, more than one outlet, new mini fridge, etc. I only stayed one night and will never stay again. The only benefits are it’s close to the train station and you can buy your taxi tickets at the hotel. Please look elsewhere when booking.

I feel compelled to share my recent disappointing experience at Hotel Carlton Grand Canal in Venice, in the hope that it may aid your decision-making process when planning your trip.

For a price tag of $1000 per night, one would expect a level of service commensurate with such a hefty fee. However, I regret to inform you that this was not the case. In fact, the service provided by budget motels in the USA far surpasses the lackluster courtesy exhibited by the front desk staff at this establishment.

Allow me to highlight some of the major letdowns encountered during my stay:

1. **Rude Front Desk Staff:** The front desk staff exude an air of entitlement, as if they are doing you a favor by allowing you to stay at their hotel. There is no semblance of a queuing system; they arbitrarily select customers, leaving others waiting indefinitely. On one occasion, after patiently waiting my turn, I was overlooked in favor of another customer. When I raised this issue, the response I received was dismissive and nonsensical: "I don't see - you have to tell me that it's your turn." Such behavior is unacceptable and indicative of a lack of professionalism.

2. **Hygiene Concerns:** A particularly disturbing incident occurred when I witnessed a male kitchen staff member exiting the restroom adjacent to the restaurant without washing his hands. When I brought this blatant disregard for basic hygiene to the attention of the management, their response was shockingly cavalier. Instead of addressing the issue with the seriousness it deserved, the manager remarked, "Well, if he didn't wash his hands there, maybe he'll wash them in the kitchen." Such a flippant attitude towards hygiene is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on the hotel's standards.

Furthermore, it is imperative to address the discrepancy between the hotel's advertised amenities and the reality of the accommodations. The rooms are in desperate need of updating and do not resemble the polished images presented online. As a frequent visitor to Italy, I am well-versed in the standards of hospitality in this country, and the state of the rooms at Hotel Carlton Grand Canal falls far below expectations.

In light of these numerous disappointments, I urge fellow travelers to exercise caution when considering this hotel for their stay in Venice. The combination of poor service, hygiene concerns, and outdated accommodations makes for an unsatisfactory experience that simply does not justify the exorbitant price tag.

Максимум 3, и то с натяжкой.
Старый интерьер, мебель ушатаная, не работал в первую ночь унитаз, затем в ванной дверь не закрывалась, завтраки не пробовали, ничего не могу сказать.
Нет сеток на окнах, из-за этого комары просто зажрали всю ночь.
Не рекомендую этот отель для отдыха.
Это чисто переночевать и пойти дальше.

Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία πιάνω στο Μεγάλο Κανάλι,2 λεπτά περπάτημα απο την PIazzale Roma που ειναι ο σταθμούς των λεωφορείων και βρίσκεσαι σε 25 λεπτά στο Αεροδρομικό Μαρκο Πολο,ακριβως απέναντι απο τον σιδηροδρομικό σταθμο.
Μειναμε σε superior δωμάτιο ,ευρύχωρο με πολυτελή διακόσμηση και αριστη καθαρότητα.
Value for money .

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The first night there was no hot water but it was fixed immediately. The a/c is controlled by the hotel and it wasn’t season for it to be on yet and it wasn’t hot just wasn’t a lot of air circulation. They did offer us a fan. The room was on the small side but I didn’t go to Venice to sit inside. If you are the kind of person that needs to be spread out in a hotel room, it might not be for you. The only bad thing is the walls were paper thin. Like I heard my next door neighbor rustling a plastic bag thin. And they are generally loud. After a long day of walking though, I was able to fall asleep in a comfortable bed.

Cher Hôtel Carlton,
après avoir réservé une chambre 'spacieuse' et 'couverte de tentures précieuses', nous avons été accueillies par un placard à balais déguisé en chambre, avec des murs aussi propres que les ruelles de Venise après le passage du Carnaval. La seule chose inoubliable dans cette expérience, c'est la déception. Nous espérons que des mesures seront prises pour adoucir notre séjour, mais pour l'instant, c'est juste du faux luxe avec un vrai prix. À bon entendeur, salut! Room 209

Yeri çok güzel Booking ten Rezervasyon yaptık ve gittik fotoğraflarda göründüğü gibi değil odalar ve otel çok eski aşırı rutubet nem ama durulacak gibi değil gittiğimiz gibi odaya çıkar çıkmaz otelden gece saat 24 00 da direk kaçtık diyebilirim kesinlikle otelin tadilata girmesi gerekiyor çok berbat o açıdan çok tavsiye edemeyeceğim tabi kalmadığımız içinde paramız yandı tam bir fiyasko ve hayal kırıklığına uğradık

Hotel molto bello di fronte alla stazione di Santa Lucia. Camere non molto moderne. Trovato in frigo 2 bottiglie d'acqua aperte e riempite con acqua del rubinetto. Idem un contenitore di sapone liquido. Controllate!

The location of this hotel was perfect. It was off the train station and also the water taxi. It took us roughly 40 minutes on water taxi to get from airport to the hotel. Breakfast was pretty useless. We lived on croissants the two days we were here. The rooms were okay, but bathrooms were terrible. Very dated. They had a tub which was next to the window and the fixtures were super dated. The room had no ventilation. We had to keep the windows open for any ventilation. We had a family room for four of us which was okay. But I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal and were incredibly disappointed with our experience. While the location is undeniably convenient, just across from the train station, the negatives far outweighed the positives.

Upon entering our room, we were met with a musty odor and upon closer inspection, discovered patches of mold in the corners of the ceiling. This was not only unpleasant aesthetically, but also raised concerns about potential health risks.

The restaurant service was another major letdown. The wait times for food were excessive, and to top it off, they completely messed up my order. By the time the correct meal arrived, my appetite had vanished due to the long wait and initial mistake.

To make matters even worse, my wife's jacket went missing from our room during our stay. We reported the theft to the hotel staff management, but they have yet to respond or acknowledge our complaint. This lack of communication and follow-up is completely unacceptable.

Overall, our stay at the Hotel Carlton was a major setback to our Venetian vacation. Considering the moldy room, sluggish service, and missing jacket incident, we would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. There are far better options available that prioritize guest comfort and security.

I was completely dissatisfied for the following reasons: 1- There were no minimal amenities in the rooms, such as: a bottle of water, toothbrush and toothpaste, disposable slippers, a kettle and tea bags, etc. 2- Unpleasant smell in the room 3- Poor quality of beds and pillows

Lovely stay at Hotel Carlton on the Grand. Perfect location short walk from train station. Very convienent to water bus etc. Room very comfortable. Staff extra accomodating when I asked for a few pillows and they brought several(foam, feather, regular and small). My neck was hurting and thanks to you I got a good nights rest. Much appreciated. Catia very helpful with Vaporetto pass just purchase at hotel and she explained routes :) Alessio thank you for your help with directions. Breakfast staff wonderful ladies that work hard to keep area tidy. Breakfast is wonderful with a great variety. Housekeeping wonderful. Room sparkling clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your fabulous hotel.

Hôtel resté dans les année 80 . N est pas un 4 étoiles. Tout juste un 3 etoiles literie très moyenne. 1 seul oreillé. Décor daté mobilier usé. Le petit dej est composé de produits industriels Vrai jus d orange et vraie omelette en supplément. Réception souvent dépassée. Je n'ai pas testé le restaurant. Bien situé à proximité de la gare.

Service trop rapide, on débarrassait notre assiette et on revenait directement avec le suivant ( pour un menu 2 entrées,2plats et 1 dessert). La nourriture pas du tout à mon goût... bref je n y retournerai pas :-)

Nous avons pris le menu à 50 euros, nous avons bien mangé, les pâtes étaient trop salées et nous les ont changé sans soucis. Tout était bon, le personnel aimable. Seul le service était un peu long.

Excellent endroit ! Cuisine raffinée et délicieuse, cadre superbe (vous êtes installé au rooftop si vous réservez ) avec vue sur le grand canal! Ambiance romantique et accueil parfait (tous les serveurs parlent le français) Si vous êtes de passage à Venise en couple, ce lieu est un incontournable.
