Excellent location, with very nice rooms. However, my room was improperly cleaned multiple times (food from precious guests were left in fridge).

Frontdesk staff have zero compassion, surprised that this is even a 4 star hotel with non existent customer service.

Really nice hotel situated right in the center of downtown Montreal, you got tons of shops and restaurants around you. The room was fantastic, lots of light and big windows, with the best thing being the bathtub. There were two TVs, one in the bedroom and one right on top of the bathtub, unfortunately none of them were smart tvs so hope you like local programs. The pool was out of service and it was a bit annoying to find out on arrival since we had in mind to make use of it, for the future I would suggest more transparency on it. The staff were great and always available to help.
Overall a positive experience but being on the expensive side I would have expected the pool to be fixed promptly instead of taking weeks.

We went for our anniversary weekend and came on the VIA train from 5 hours away to enjoy Montreal. Our SOLE reason for choosing this hotel was the outdoor pool. We stay in Montreal often and ALMOST ALWAYS at Hotel Bonaventure. Thankfully we had booked our last night (March 24 to 25) in Montreal at the Bonaventure just because it's our favourite so we still did get a glorious rooftop pool, sauna and hot tub experience and it was cheaper per night. Stay there if you want a true Oasis. Never again will we stray away from Hotel Bonaventure!!
Le St. Martin hotel shows on their webpage that their lounge and restaurant are temporarily closed. There is NO MENTION the pool is closed. Why not alert people? We were there March 22 to 24. We called today out of curiosity and the recorded message mentioned to enjoy the lovely pool but when we asked we were told the pool was closed. We asked how long it's been down and were told 5 days. That is a lie because we were there 8 days ago and it was closed. We asked if it would be open soon and they had no idea. I would not trust this place as far as I could throw it.
Also, it feels like you are in a store while staying in the room because there's a price list for everything. Bedding, alarm clock, blow dryer etc. Definitely very low class. The view was of a building across the street. If you stay at The Bonaventure you will most likely have a stunning view. We have never had a bad view there!
I am so thankful for using booking dot com who gave us a little back for our inconvenience. Very kind of them! I'm not sure if the travel site gave us the money back or negotiated it from the hotel but because of the travel site we got some back. It was not their fault the hotel never told them the pool was down. Still on all of the travel sites the first thing you see is the pool. The hotel should take the pool photo down when the pool is closed.

Una ubicación excelente, a dos minutos del metro y restaurantes alrededor. La habitación muy limpia y linda, el desayuno buffet pequeño pero rico.

I was a little worried reading some of the negative reviews but this hotel was awesome!
All the staff were friendly and helpful valet service was great. Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. Walking distance to great restaurants. Definitely plan on coming back! The only drawback is it’s a bit confusing where to park when checking in.

The hotel is very conveniently located. It is very close to many great dining and shopping options and the subway is a very short walk away. The area is very nice and we felt safe walking to our hotel at night. It was fairly quiet during our stay, a little noise from the street during the day but that’s to be expected when staying in a city.
The staff are very friendly, courteous, helpful, and attentive.
Our room was spacious and clean. We loved the large tub, even the shower was pretty roomy! There were sliding shutters doors between the bathroom and the main room area which allowed for privacy when desired. The only thing I’d note is that it doesn’t offer much in the way of… noise privacy when using the toilet. Something to be aware of if you’re sharing the room with someone.
Otherwise we were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay near Downtown Montreal.

Pool is nice. And so fireplace in rooms.
Breakfast is boring. Dishes are of doubtful cleanliness.
The biggest disappointment was that water bottles were given only at the checkin and when i called to bring me more water - apparently it is not supported.. Guys it is so cheap of you..
Another thing -air is very dry in the room.
Combine that with lack of water in the room.

Honestly, I’m not one to complain about things, but in our room, the shower was leaking, making the room's carpet wet. I wasn’t even going to whine about it, but then, when we were leaving, the doormen gave us such an attitude for my boyfriend parking his car in front of the hotel for us to put out bags and head out. He said he called the city to give us a ticket, but luckily, we returned to our car. Then he complained again, asking why we were still here because we were in the car trying to get the address to our next hotel. That is not how you treat your guests. Super disappointed!!!!
