Decent food, good ambiance, but too expensive. You order at the counter and beverages are in paper and plastic containers.

Definitely pricey for breakfast, but food was good. If you have platinum tier at Sonesta you get $72 credit towards breakfast. My favorite was waffles and eggs Benedict

Decent place for breakfast however I'd say a lot of the dishes are a little overpriced. Great space and interior though

Great breakfast place. Nice classic hotel atmosphere. Large seating area so it is not too crowded. The muffins are perfect - crisp on the outside and moist on the inside

Fredericks in San Francisco is an outstanding Breakfast spot!
The ambiance is charming and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.
The menu offers a diverse selection of delicious breakfast options that are freshly prepared and of high quality.

The food was decent, they’re friendly, but super over priced, we left a cash tip on the table even tho they only bring out the food and don’t serve you water or check how anything is. and we put 0 tip on the card cause we always tip cash and they went and added another $12 to the tip. Be careful.

Ottime le brioches, posto trendy, ma pagare e ritirare davanti al bancone per poi scegliersi un tavolino, in un posto così non è il massimo; dare il servizio al tavolo lo renderebbe molto più attraente!

Went for breakfast. Had to order at the counter in to dine. Had to get water ourselves. Food was ok.

This is a solid place to eat for early breakfast at the hotel. Super friendly staff and the eggs benedict with gluten free bread was delicious. The sauce for the hollandaise is much better than a standard benny. It tastes like high quality butter with a good amount of lemon juice - probably the best I’ve had. If you don’t like tangy, probably order something else.

Classic eggs Benedict was awesome! They had flavored water which is refreshing. Opens at 630am for those early birds. Great seatings on the inside. A little pricy for me as it’s $25 for the eggs Benedict. But I just came back from Thailand so everything in America is expensive as f……….

Cute simple breakfast place that actually surprised with me the look and elegance of the breakfast served. Wished they had coffee cups instead of just to go cups as I feel they are more sustainable but good breakfast.

This vibey spot was connected to our hotel. The food was delicious! I got the avocado toast and my fiancé got the waffle. We both LOVED our breakfast. Coffee was great as well!! They have milk alternatives! We also thought the staff was super friendly! Service was great. Highly recommend! :)

Stopped here for breakfast two mornings while visiting San Francisco and staying at The Marker just up the street. Good coffee, pastries, bagels, parfait and chia seed pudding. Not inexpensive though, so buyer beware.

Vastly overpriced breakfast place connected to the Clift hotel. Don't go unless you have the $10 daily voucher if staying at the Clift, then it becomes ok for a quick breakfast. Almond croissants are good.

The Velvet Room on the first floor of The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel in San Francisco has an amazing and diligent chef, and you can’t modify things that he doesn’t approve of, which I actually appreciate. I know it is somewhat strange to actually recommend going to a hotel restaurant for breakfast, but it’s really busy that good. Just make sure to get there by 10:45am because they stop serving breakfast at 11am. I didn’t get a chance to try the coffee but I am curious to know if it’s at the same quality level of the food.

I love the atmosphere and overall decor, and there really isn’t a bad seat. They have a few different somewhat-connected areas where you can dine in, all with different-yet-connected vibes. They have an area that’s black and white, another that’s dark greens, and then the largest area where we chose to sit both days. With green subway tile, white exposed ceilings, comfortable booth options, black and white marble flooring, mid-century modern tables, and multiple styles of light fixtures.

The cashier made us feel very welcomed and remembered us when we returned for breakfast a second day in a row, which made me feel special. The only thing that could have made the experience better was if they were playing “Blue Velvet” by Bobby Vinton.

My top recommendations:

The egg white scramble ($23) with avocado ($4) and a side of chicken sausage ($8) is the best way to order this breakfast item. The egg white scramble comes with savory umami mushrooms, fresh tomato, onion, and spinach, as well as a side of roasted tomato, flavorful breakfast potatoes with grilled onions, and bread of your choice. Since it’s San Francisco, I do recommend going with the sourdough and enjoying the jams.

The Shakshuka ($21) with two poached eggs, thinly sliced red onions, bread, and fresh herbs is full of flavor, and it’s the only dish that Chef allows the lamb sausage ($7) to be added to. If you eat meat, I strongly recommend adding the lamb.

The orange juice is $7 for 12oz but it’s very refreshing and delicious.
