On adore !

The small B&B on the outskirts of Ille-sur-Tête is run by the charming Kate and Adrian. The late 18th century structure has 4 large en suite guest rooms and a studio apartment. Our gigantic room, La Suite d’Aragon, with a comfortable bed bigger than a king has a small reading nook and an average sized bathroom. The bathroom has a good shower and reasonable counter space. The room is smartly decorated with a modern country flare. Thoughtful details include fresh flowers on the table in front of the window, delicious tiny muffins and a carafe of filtered drinking water. The room has plenty of outlets for charging electronics. The Wi-Fi connection is OK in the guest rooms but weaker in the common areas. ||Dinner can be prearranged and is served on the back terrace in good weather and in the dining room when it is chilly. Generally they serve only vegetarian meals. However, they do sometimes serve fish. Kate is a certified vegetarian chef. We enjoyed a 2 course dinner starting with a salmon filet with an Asian influence preparation served with pickled ginger, roasted baby potatoes and ratatouille. Everything was well-executed and flavorful. Dessert was an almond flour chocolate brownie type cake with fresh raspberries and mascarpone. Again everything was beautifully done.||Breakfast is a buffet of good quality cold items – yogurt, granola, cut fruit, homemade jam, honey, pastry and bread, butter and juice. Coffee is self-serve French press.

Mas St. Joseph is an idyllic farmhouse nestling among the fruit orchards just outside Ille-sur-Têt. Adrian and Kate are the most caring and considerate hosts imaginable, offering welcome drinks on arrival and a warm ambiance throughout our stay. Mas St. Joseph is surrounded by beautiful towns, villages, and fabulous local restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend Mas St. Joseph if you are looking for a very special experience.

This is a hidden gem. A beautifully maintained and immaculate Chambres D'Hote. The room was spacious (there are different sizes but we chose the largest) with air conditioning and a very comfy mattress. The continental breakfast was delicious. Adrian and Kate are superb hosts who have lived here for a number of years so have local knowledge. The pool is refreshing and very clean. We also booked an evening tapas meal, which was delicious. I literally can't recommend this highly enough. Definitely coming back. Oh, and the icing on the cake for me was that there are 2 little dogs here, who love a bit of a fuss ????????????????
