Fantastic Hotel. Service, and wonderful renovated Villa's amazing. Brigette was a star from start to finish and this is now our absolute go to Hotel in LA. Fabulous.

Stayed here for multiple nights on two different trips in 10 days and got to experience the hotel rooms and the villas. We had a little snafu with the first room but Chase expertly handled it without any questions and is entirely the reason we returned again (and we are so glad we did as he treated us like royalty - thank you Chase!!).

The grounds of this property are magnificent - somehow managing to be relaxing and exciting at the same time. If not for the occasional sirens it was easy to forget that we were in the middle of a very urban area.

The restaurant has great food and a fun bar. We never stopped in the other bar but it sounded like great fun whenever we walked past.

The house keeping is awesome! Not intrusive and made sure everything looks refreshed when we returned to our room.

It was also nice that there is a town car available to take us short distances.

The only improvement I would suggest is to offer reduced parking rates in the evening so that local friends/family could drive over and visit us.

Thank you for a great vacation! We will look forward to returning and hope Chase is still there :) !!

Friendly Staff & stellar stay! Loved the restaurant and bar located in the hotel as well. Very charming, historical and so cool to see all the musical memorabilia everywhere. Gardens out back where bungalows are were very well kept. It was fascinating to hear and read how iconic artists have stayed there for weeks at a time to record music because some of their bungalows have attached recording studios. Overall very accommodating, walked to some great shopping and eats- highly recommend. Twas a pleasant & easy stay.

Online Search -- Front Dest and Concierge were outstanding setting up our room with fresh flowers and champagne for a birthday celebration. The grounds are beautiful and very clean. The late night cocktail bar was the perfect place for a nightcap.

Great location and atmosphere. I will be back on my next visit. -- Enginca travel site. -- Chase (at the front desk) was very welcoming and accommodating. Made check-in a very easy, comfortable experience.

I used to stay at SM years ago when shooting in LA. I hadn't considered it in a while but I am so glad i did this time. I travel a lot (and am super super picky) and will definitely be back! -- Chase at the front desk was beyond amazing. I'm so glad I get mention him. He literally couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. I would stay her again and highly recommend the SM just because of him and the rest of the staff. He made sure we had everything we needed and also checked in with us regularly. Also remembered my name, which was so nice. Everything was lovely, the pool, the bar. And the vibe is still really cool! Also nice to be so close to sunset, but not actually on it. Only suggestion I have is nespresso machines instead of keurig. I LOVE this place and will be back

[July 2023] Without a doubt the best way to arrive in California with the family after a long road trip. Fantastic, kind staff. Excellent restaurant. Loved both pools and the incredible garden. Rooms are alright. It's pricey, but you get something in return that money can't buy: spirit.

Feels upscale like an old Hollywood hotel, lush gardens and paths, and staff is very friendly and accommodating, rooms/exterior are a bit dated but room interiors are nice. We almost always see someone famous here, usually at the restaurant. No parking on steep, mostly residential street, must use valet. Restaurant could use better and more vegetarian (and vegan) friendly items on the menu. Their main vegetable dish has bacon in it. Would love to go there more but it's hard to have a group lunch or dinner meeting without quality options for each person attending. Drinks at the restaurant bar and a little side bar near the entrance are nice options. Lots of nice, secluded places to take a drink and sit around the property.

A fantastic boutique hotel, that is full of charm and character. Great location - that is very private, wonderful staff (special shout-out to Logan and Chase) and beautiful rooms / villas. Give the big hotels a miss - you won't regret it. Thanks again Sunset Marquis - we'll definitely be back.

What a lovely experience unforgettable day valentines specially. The food was amazing , staff the service is beyond expectations friendly they deserves 5star.the owner is kind and friendly. We ended up singing and damcing with all the guesses, enjoyed like our own private party met new people and join the party together. Welldone thank you for the memorable night.❤️

Just spent a week here and I can honestly say they do everything right. Logan was brilliant as our guide xx The restaurant is great too. Amazing Rock history! Loved it. Planning our next trip now :)
