Location is very ideal for closeby bus stops for Airport & Excursion transfers, closeby to lots of shops, restaurants, cafes etc. The only downside to this hotel is our room needed some minor fixes for example the bathroom railings being very loose / hanging off, things like that that just arent ideal. The bedroom view was not good and looked straight across into another building, no views whatsoever to be seen. Check in & out was easy enough however and rooms provided us with towels, shampoo / body washes as well as tea, coffee and cups. Breakfast was good, lots of food and drink selection including hot food such as bacon, eggs, sausages, fruit, cereals, muffins, toast etc from 7am - 10am. Overall this hotel is nice enough and ideal location, just think the rooms could be a bit nicer that's all. If you're looking for convenience then this hotel will be perfect, if you're looking for luxury then not so much.

This hotel was welcoming, staff were helpful and IT WAS CLEAN! The room we had needed some minor repairs but nothing that inconvenienced. The bed was very comfortable and the duvets were awesome. Small Fridge in the room, shelves for clothes, iron and board, desk, chairs and a television. Toiletries in the washroom. Everything needed for the time actually spent in the room. The breakfast is included for guests and is plentiful and pretty good too. Something for everyone. The location can't really be beat. It's 3 blocks from the bus stop for all tours and a 15 min walk to the bus station if you want to walk off breakfast. Located at the active end of main street and central to every place. There is a variety store next door that has decent sandwiches to grab for day long tours and a great selection of snacks or anything you may have forgotten. I'd recommend this hotel

Great hotel, great location. There is no parking here, so if you drive it will be a challenge to find nearby paid city parking.

I have stayed at several CenterHotels. They have all been great but I like the Plaza the best. Great location and wonderful rooms. Breaksfast is decent and the staff are exceedingly nice. Wifi is excellent but we did have issues with the TV. Had to cast from my phone as the TV simply would not display a program for more than 1 minutes before the signal dropped.

The location of the Center Hotels Plaza couldn’t be better. It’s a very short walk to bus stop #1, which from what I could tell, is the only covered bus stop for tour pickup. The staff were friendly, but not well informed about the hotels current renovations. We were assigned a room directly adjacent to the construction and our walls actually vibrated from the hammers and drills. We requested another room and were assigned a room directly above the construction. The staff said there was nothing else they could do, but that the construction would be done by 4:00 pm each day and that it wouldn’t occur on the weekends. However, the construction continued until 6:00 pm and on Saturday at 8:00 am sharp. So much for a restful vacation. The most disappointing part was that we were not informed of the renovations prior to arriving or during check-in. Another disappointing experience was a strong smell of mildew emanating from the shower drain. We kept the drain covered with a wet washcloth to suppress the odor. With the exception of not being informed of the construction and the mildew smell, everything else was great. The housekeeping and breakfast staff were great! It’s a beautiful hotel close to the harbor, restaurants, and bus stop.

L'hotel si trova proprio al centro della città.
Le aree comuni sono molto moderne e ben curate. Nonostante avessi letto parecchie recensioni che lamentavano di avere la camera datata devo dire che o sono stata fortunata io o le hanno ristrutturate tutte. La camera è molto spaziosa e ben curata, a differenza del bagno che è piuttosto piccolino. Nel nostro bagno c'era perennemente questo odore nauseante che non capivamo se provenisse dall' acqua o dalle tubature.
La sala delle colazioni è nel sotterraneo ma anche quella è molto curata e moderna .
Consigliato!!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Rooms where immaculate and spacious. The location couldn't be any better. Breakfast included was a huge bonus and delicious however I must say the service was disorganised. Our party spent 20mins the first morning running about looking for cuterly, plates and cups. Not ideal. I'm quite a heavy sleeper luckily but friends staying with myself had mention during our stay about being abruptly awakened by the clattering of bins in the early hours every morning. Apart from this our stay was pleasant and the reception staff where extremely helpful to navigate us during our stay and offer food and sightseeing recommendations.

A fantastic location for downtown Reykjavik with all the shops, bars and restaurants you could want within a few minutes walk. Taxi rank immediately outside and a bus stop a few minutes walk away (number 1 - Townhall).
Hotel is comfortable and the rooms are nice. Our bathroom was a bit tired but clean and it appears there are some refurbishments going on in some rooms.
Reception staff very helpful. Breakfast is plentiful and lots of choice but the room is not lit very brightly. Happy hour (very important due to high cost of everything) is between 4pm and 6pm.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be very near town.
