My experience as a 30 something yr old solo female traveler: I arrived at the place after 11pm, couldn’t find parking anywhere despite the email saying there were designated spots….no matter what time there will never be parking just realize that you’ll have to pay to park every day far from your hotel, overnight no charge but if you book a day trip it’s about $40 USD a day to leave your car, which was very very irritating. I mentioned this via email to the overnight staff and kept getting told there is parking like I didn’t look….i drove around the block at least 8 times and nothing….. The manager, idk? She emailed the next morning and Offered to move her car out of a spot but I would not feel right taking her spot. Anyway I finally Found a spot around the next street over and just gave up and walked around the block every day. Unlocked the front door and had instructions for which room was mine, easy enough. Now, nowhere in the description did it mention the stairs. I’ve never been to Iceland and didn’t know elevators are apparently few and far between so keep that in mind when you have to lug a heavy suitcase up 3 flights….ive had a double hip replacement (I’m younger but an accident happened), and it was incredibly difficult. Had I been informed there was no elevator I would have asked for a ground floor if possible or asked for assistance at check in/out and tipped generously for help. But whatever. I Get into the room and keys were waiting for me and it was basic of basic room. I did have the 2 twin beds with a private bathroom. Bathroom is small and so is the room. (Expected) and adjusting the heat does nothing it’s cold no matter what. As for the room, most things are falling apart, trim coming off the baseboards on the floor, and there are holes in the wall….there are however plenty of outlets. So credit for that. There is no tv to drown out noise (more on that later) just Super super basic. The closet? Is a rod with a few hangers and a hanging cloth ikea shelf….I was on the 3rd floor which is the floor with the shared kitchen. I was at the very end farthest from the kitchen but You can still hear EVERYTHING from your room, you can hear people in the kitchen down the hall, your neighbor snoring and sneezing, flushing their toilet, showering….and even adult bedroom activities. No need to set an alarm clock because not only will everyone in the kitchen and your neighbors in the morning wake you up but you also have the added bonus of the construction crew (also no mention of construction in the description) right outside your window that will wake you up super super early every single day! With power tools!!! Oh you Didn’t get enough of them during the day? Don’t worry they have an encore performance slamming stuff in dumpsters at midnight too!! The hot water does have that sulfur smell to it which is normal, but it is hot so that’s a least one good thing I can say. However, The shower leaks. When I say leaks I mean there is an entire lake of water on the floor, the towels they give you are child sized and genuinely hurt they are so rough, exfoliating sandpaper I guess? Idk but they genuinely hurt!!!! thankfully I brought one from home I could use. There are no toiletries in the private bath so if you forget something you have to go buy it. The only fridge is the one in the shared kitchen so hopefully nobody steals your stuff. The rooms are very very dimly lit so putting makeup on properly was a challenge. Want to eat your dinner in private? You’re out of luck as there is literally no place in the room suitable for eating other than the bed which is disgusting so you have to use the community table which if you paid extra for a PRIVATE ROOM defeats the purpose of PRIVACY. Would I stay here again or recommend to anyone? Absolutely not. Spend a little more for better quality and ACTUAL PEACE AND QUIET while you’re on your vacation. This isn’t the place. I regret every single night.

Kies zeker niet voor dit hotel als op zoek bent naar een sfeervolle kamer. Hele eenvoudige, redelijke nette kamer. Check-in verliep soepel. Contact met receptie gaat online, maar is goed bereikbaar. De bedden liggen comfortabel. Tijdens het douchen stinkt het naar rotte eieren. Prima voor één nachtje.

Do not parking too close to the sidewalk. Or you’ll get parking ticket. And please answer the question after we’ve left. No answer on website email. That’s really feeling bad.
But I want thank one of stuff. He tried his best to help us. We really appreciate it.

Everything was fine. The manager and tha staff were really nice and always helpful. Kitchen is shared and sometimes busy. Bathroom and toilett is fine, if it was taken in my floor, i just went to the another, so it was okay to me. No elevator. Wifi and water is good. Bonus grocery store at next street, or a bit farther there is an Extra, which is open until midnight.

A lot of noise was coming from other rooms, the lobby smelled really bad, and the water in the shower was cold.
There was no elevator, and we were on the fourth floor.

Le personnel n'est pas sympathique, les chambres ne sont pas propres et l'eau sent très mauvais. Je n'ai pas su me laver tellement l'odeur de souffre était forte... Ne parlons pas du fait que je n'ai ni pu me laver les dents ni boire...

Nous étions venu pour le prix mais franchement ajouter quelques euros et aller ailleurs. 288€ pour deux nuits c'est clairement du vol ici !!!

You get what you pay for. Cheapest place in Reykjavik with good location. Rooms and bathrooms could definitely be cleaner. Kitchen is small, and there is basically no common area except for a table in the hallway. The man from Prague who works there is so friendly and helpful that it really improved my rating of the establishment though. They are planning improvements to the kitchen in the future, so I'd still recommend if you're on a tight budget.

Ein sehr schlichtes und einfaches Gasthaus.
Die Zimmer sind in unterschiedlichem Zustand. Unser erstes Zimmer hatte keinen Schrank, lediglich eine Kleiderstange, war dafür etwas größer. Das zweite Zimmer war vom Zustand besser, mit Schrank und saniertem Bad.
Zuteilung nach Zufallsprinzip, schätze ich.

Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist gut ausgestattet, wenn sich alle Gäste ein wenig mehr Mühe geben würden, wäre der Zustand wahrscheinlich erheblich besser.
Aber man kann sich verpflegen.

Der allgemeine Zustand ist sehr abgewohnt. Es gibt Parkplätze vor der Tür, aber es ist Glück einen zu erhaschen.

Самый простой отель. Чистый. Есть всё необходимое: кухня (где вы готовите из своих продуктов), душевые, туалеты. В номерах есть вешалки, маленькая раковина. На две кровати мы нашли только одну розетку чтоб заредить телефоны.

Very close to bus station. Paul is the reception manager or caretaker. Very nice gentleman. He helped us find the rooms and explained wheee to eat and buy food and also explained other attractions. Clean rooms. Only problem is there are work going on next door and it disturb you 7.00 on the morning. And
Busses stops in front of other hotel.

Habe zusammen mit meiner Schwester 4 Nächte in einem Zimmer ohne eigenem Bad geschlafen. Im Zimmer gab es 2 Betten, einen Schrank, Stuhl und ein Waschbecken. Handseife und Handtücher waren auch da. Das Zimmer war sauber und die Betten gemütlich. Auch die Dusche und das WC, welche in jedem Flur vorhanden waren, waren sauber. Es gab auch eine Küche mit Ausstattung die jedem zu Verfügung stand. Auch hier alles sauber und sehr praktisch wenn man nicht für jede Mahlzeit ausgehen möchte. Check in und Check out waren problemlos und kontaktlos, alles per Mail in unserem Fall.
Die Lage ist nicht schlecht, in der Nähe gibts es Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Cafés, ansonsten ist die Innenstadt 15min Fußweg entfernt. Zu unserer Zeit wurde nebenan gebaut/ renoviert deshalb gab es Tagsüber etwas Baustellenlärm.
Haben hier gerne übernachtet und würden es wieder tun.

Camere da prigione, cucina sprovvista di ogni qualsiasi cosa e tavoli per la consumazione in mezzo al corridoio per le camere.
Gente che sbatte porte, ride e urla ad ogni ora della notte.
Dalle 7.00 in poi inizia il cantiere quindi tranquillità addio.
Capirei se costasse 50€ a notte ma visto che una camera con bagno ne costa 150 a notte è un furto.
Da evitare assolutamente.
Uno dei peggiori posti dove ho soggiornato.

Einfache, aber völlig ausreichende Unterkunft in guter Lage. Zimmer und Badezimmer, das man sich mit anderen teilt, waren sauber und ordentlich. Lediglich die frei benutzbare Küche wirkte nicht ganz toll ausgestattet und sauber. In wenigen Minuten ist man zu Fuß in der Innenstadt von Reykjavik. Direkt vor der Unterkunft kostenlose Parkplätze. Insgesamt eine Empfehlung für Menschen mit nicht zu hohen Ansprüchen.

A good surprise! Room was simple but clean and fairly big, beds very comfortable. Showers might look a bit old but are hot and powerful. Good location. Far better than other hostels I went to in Reykjavik.

Die Zimmer sind schlicht eingerichtet, sauber und die Betten sind bequem. Man sollte jedoch nicht zu viel erwarten. Bad und Toiletten befinden sich auf den Fluren.

Das Einchecken ist super easy. Preislich ähnlich des Kex Hostels, nur mit Privatsphäre und mehr Ruhe.
Der Betreiber ist sehr nett und kann viele Tipps geben.
Die Kücheneinrichtung ist hervorragend mit Backofen, Herd, Spülbecken und einem Kühlschrank.

Für den kleinen Geldbeutel als Selbstverpfleger genau das Richtige.

Zimmer sind klein aber okay. Das Gemeinschaftsbad und Küche könnten eine Renovierung gebrauchen.

Az izlandi árakhoz képest egy olcsó és jó vendégház 15 perc sétára a központtól.

Bon rapport qualité prix pour Reykjavík. Tous les sites importants de la ville peuvent être faits à pied depuis l’hôtel.

Self checking, pas de personnel sur place mais cela ne nous a posé aucun problème.

Nous avions pris une chambre pour deux, elle est assez petite donc si vous n’aimez pas dormir proche de vos amis cela pourrait poser problème mais vu qu’on y était que pour dormir, parfait.

C’est une guesthouse sympa ou vous avez tout de même les chambres pour vous même et vous ne devez pas les partager avec 8 autres personnes. WC et douches communs.
