Stayed there as a camper in a van, didn't get a room. The facilities are very nice and clean, the staff friendly and helpful, the amenities are excellent. They have shared kitchens for guests to use, bathrooms, showers, laundry. The community there is very helpful as well, things like shared pantry items (give and take) in the kitchen and even toiletry items in the washrooms if you're into that! Either way you won't find yourself in need. The location is awesome, accessibility all hours of the day and night is easy and available whenever you need. Warm, comfortable, dry, friendly. I've been here 3 times and will return every time I'm in Reykjavik!

Ouvert toute l'année, douches chaudes, wc, énorme cuisine et grande salle à manger mais très cher par rapport à tous les autres campings, l'accès aux facilités est coupé à partir de 11h le lendemain ce qui ne nous arrangeait pas trop.

We went during the winter months so was running a limited service BUT was incredibly easy to park and also excellent access to facilities. These were less than usual but still plenty enough.

The cooking and washing up area was a real bonus, and although we didn't cook in it imagine would be excellent for larger groups.

Very expensive campsite compared to other ones in Iceland but it has a good atmosphere and plenty of showers & toilets.

Estuve en noviembre, la reserva se hace online y entras con un código. Hacia frio en la zona de cocina y los baños, el agua de las duchas salía templada tirando a fria, para el precio que tiene. La ubicación bien para una noche de paso al llegar o irte.

Sucio, descuidado y frio. Es como estacionar en cualquier parking urbano público. Se aprovechan de que son el único camping donde puedes quedarte en Reikiavik. Cuidado! Meses después de haber estado siguen llegándote emails con links diciendo que quedan pagos por hacer…

Great location and good space for vans. Lack of grey water dump isn't ideal and two out of three washing machines and dryers are awful - spin speed far too low and therefore drying takes ages and costs loads. Not enough showers or toilets for the space. On the plus side, what is here is clean and tidy, the public spaces especially the table football and the plant life in the cafe area, is lovely and well looked after. In a nutshell, the management need to invest more in upgrades but the day to day staff seem to be doing a very good job with what they have.

The good thing is that you can only access the facilities with a passcode which gives you a kind of security. Shower rooms could be improved as the inside are not insulated well; you would still feel cold. There is hot water but there’s a sulphuric smell going around the toilets and the campsite. You have to pay for laundry which is a little funny as for the price you’re paying per night, you’d think it’d be included. Been to other campsites where I paid a similar amount and laundry & dryer were included. Overall, this campsite is not the worst and gets the job done.

Our staff cleans and checks the facilities multiple times a day as this is something we prioritize, and we are sorry that the the bathrooms were not clean during your stay. Huge, organised and well planned campsite. You gonna reserve and book in advance. Access using a code which will be sent to you upon confirmation of reservation. Huge kitchen, common room, laundry room and toilets/showers.

Podría comenzar este comentario diciendo que me pidieron matrimonio aqui? Puede sonar un poco raro, pero mi prometido desistió de la misión de pedirme matrimonio con las auroras boreales porque nunca aparecieron, y en nuestro penúltimo día en Islandia, despues de un tour de auroras fallido, llego el tan esperado pedido, a la 1 de la mañana en el campo de las tiendas! hahah... Ahora a lo que vinimos, el camping está muy bien, pasamos la noche muy bien en el camping... En relación a los baños, falta un poco de limpieza y el agua no era muy caliente (también hacía mucho frío en marzo)... Nuestro lugar favorito fue la cocina donde las personas dejan algunas comidas que le sobraron y tienen lugares suficientes para todos los grupos, pudimos conocer a otras personas, lo que lo hizo más divertido..
Obviamente este lugar es inolvidable para nosotros! Aparte al dia siguiente empezó a nevar (era la primera vez que veiamos la nieve caer) y nos tomamos estas lindas fotos

I like this campsite since it’s close to downtown Reykjavik. Everything is a community-like setting for laundry, showers, restrooms (separated by gender), cooking, and the kitchen area. To get into the community area, you need to have your code to enter, which is given once you pay for camping. I like this campsite. It’s a great spot :)

This could be a great campsite, with great amenities and fine city location, and the hostel conveniently on site. However, it had the most disgusting sanitary blocks of any camping in Iceland. Cleaned once a day, way too little with these big groups and high footfall, the male toilets and showers were filthy. My wife said the female ones had overflowing sanitary pad bins with used tampons soaking in the water on the floor. At one point in the block near the kitchen all male toilets were without paper, except one - because it was, and apparently had been for some time, full of excrement. Male toilets with brown filth on the edge, remaining so for a whole day. Etc etc. I don't know if the issue is staffing because the amenities are otherwise fine and the hostel looks clean. But the campsite is seriously lacking in sanitary hygiene. You don't just "time" cleaning - you inspect and if you see blocked toilets or overflowing sanitary pad bins, you act.

Todo perfecto, aunque fuimos de noche y estábamos un poco perdidos. Pero puedes pagar online, y te mandan un código y de esa manera puedes entrar. Los baños están super bien y las duchas igual.

La zona es bastante buena y hay un supermercado bastante cerca que es 24h, las zonas comunes y baños están muy bien, lo único malo es que el precio es algo elevado, si vais de noche y no hay nadie en recepción podéis comprar vuestra parcela online y os mandan un código

Camping bonito e agradável com bastante espaço para as vans. Cozinha e banheiros limpos, porém não há microondas, apenas pias e água quente.
Conseguimos ver a aurora boreal no local!

Buen sitio, a media hora andando de la zona más céntrica y de la famosa iglesia de reykjavik. Muy limpio todo y bien organizado en las zonas tanto de cocina, comedor, baños con ducha incluida, lavandería que no está incluida con un futbolin gratis para pasar el tiempo. Muy recomendable ya que todo el proceso de reserva se puede hacer online desde tu móvil

Me quedé aquí la noche del 29 al 30 de Octubre. Venía un poco preocupada por algunas reseñas que había leído, pero por ubicación y servicios era el camping que mejor nos cuadraba.
Nuestra experiencia ha sido perfecta. Es cierto que es el camping más caro (de todo el país creo) pero me ha parecido que está súper bien. Tiene varias zonas de cocina con fuegos y fregadero. La zona de comedor es enorme y súper bonita y está climatizada. Los baños son comodísimos, hay un montón y cada ducha tiene su zona independiente para poder dejar tus cosas y vestirte cómodamente. La zona de aparcamientos también es enorme y hay para caravanas que necesitan electricidad y para campers normales.
Se entra con código, que te llega por mail, y puedes entrar y salir todas las veces que quieras.
Para mi, ha merecido la pena pagar el precio en comparación con otros.

El camping está mal,sin más, pero es el camping más caro que estuvimos. Solo volvería si a la mañana siguiente quieres hacer algo en la capital, como fue nuestro caso.

It's a fairly spacious site, and has all the facilities needed for most, like cooking space, cleaning side, eating area, washroom and showers. I wish the washrooms were slightly larger. Washrooms and showers were decent.
