What can I say, we loved the hotel and everything in it. Upon arrival the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The decor of this Hotel is beautiful and relaxing. When entering the room is was clean, tidy and a continued theme from the hotel reception/restraunt.

We booked a larger room as we were staying for a week and wanted some extra space. The room came with an opening balcony door, as far as I could tell the only one on our floor on our side of the building. We were greeted with magnificent views over water and towards mountains. The room was warm, and once we found our level of comfort the heat it was perfect.
The bathroom was clean, tidy and well equipped. The shower was amazing, the water felt fresh and the power was spot on (if I could have taken it home I would have).
The restraunt was comfortable and again the staff were faultless. In particular a young woman on our first couple nights was helpful and well informed on the menu. The chef was fantastic, able to cater for an unusual and difficult allergy. So friendly and great banter.
The breakfast on offer was an extra cost, however, it was packed with choice, hot and cold, sweet and savoury, it was perfect for us to sustain our efforts through the day as we were out and about on long days. We would return and will look for Guldsmeden hotels on our future travels.

Super Gemptliches Hotel. Super Service Pesonal . Super gutes Frühstück. Tolle Atmosphäre. Es gibt immer Kaffe , Tee und Wasser rund um die Uhr kostenlos . Abend kann man gut essen , zu normal ortsübliche Preise. Ca 30 min Fussweg i. Das Ortszentrum. 10 min Zum Meer . Wir haben von Meer aus die Pilarlichter gesehen u d auch vom Hotelzimmer .

Lovely Hotel had a great time here. Staff were helpful breakfast more than satisfying free complimentary all-day coffee a nice touch. The main street of Reykjavik is literally to the left of the green building. Bus station 15 min walk to pick up trips.

The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful ! The breakfast was everything we could have ask for and the take away breakfast for the airport was more than we expected. Regarding the rooms, everything was clean, well organized and it was a beautiful place. The hotel is walking distance of every interesting point of Reykjavík!

Highly recommended hotel !

Wir waren dank Flugstreik und bezahlt von der Fluggesellschaft in diesem Hotel, keine Ahnung ob es noch größere Zimmer gibt, aber unseres war in 12 Tagen Island mit Abstand das kleinste Zimmer, konnten kaum den Koffer ausbreiten.

Frühstück und Bar sehr gut! Sehr nettes Personal, sehr nah an der Innenstadt.

Excellent hotel experience. The rooms, although small, were clean and comfortable. In particular, Eyja puts an emphasis on the bathrooms, which is something I appreciate. Superb breakfast. The staff was friendly and competent. The location may seem less than ideal, but Reykjavík is a small city.

The most relaxing and peaceful hotel to escape the world... Excellent breakfast, beautiful and clean room and brilliant location near the bars, shops, and sea front. Highly recommended!

Great hotel - really well located for an easy walk into Reykjavik, but with simple and free parking. Real hygge experience in terms of decor and lighting. We splurged for the largest of the bedrooms, would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 4 days and had a wonderful time. The reception team were really helpful with making suggestions and booking things as needed. All day, free tea and coffee is a nice touch, and the happy hour proved good value. The rooms are warm and comfortable, and the hair dryer was up to muster.
The location is perfect for exploring Reykjavík too.

Perfectly situated, good for a decent walk to the shops and sites. Loved the quiet room, comfortable bed. Awesome assortment of toiletries provided. Lots of parking. Bar and food available. Sorry, don't think the breakfast price is worth the offering but it's convenient.

Lovely hotel, amazing staff. Bedrooms are great, just a shame there are not proper doors to bathrooms they don't give any privacy.

This may just be the cosiest/comfiest room I have ever stayed in and that is saying something! Super cosy hotel, really nicely finished, great service and only a short walk/hopp to the main street (Laugavegur). I would definitely recommend and will most likely stay here again on my next trip to Reykjavik.
