Of the three restaurants we had dinner at in Firenze, this one was the least convincing. The food was fine, but nothing special. It appears that the owners care more about high turnover than good quality service. The reservation was for 1.5 hours, according to the confirmation by email we had received. Our starter and main course were served in under 45mins. When we said we would not want dessert but to finish our bottle of wine, the bill was slammed on the table without comment and 2min later the waiter stood there with the paying machine. This was less than 1 hour after having sat down. Though we were gracefully allowed to finish our wine, it felt like they were glad when we didn't spend more time blocking the table. Well under these circumstances of course we didn't order any grappa or coffee but took that somewhere else.

Delicious food, a very atmospheric room and completely delightful staff. We had a memorable and very fun lunch. Thank you to friends more local to Florence than us who recommended Il Santo Bevitore - have already passed the recommendation on to others on their way to Florence.

Bell'ambiente, personale cortese e veloce. Presi formaggi misti, ribollita e ravioli al cinghiale. Tutto ottimo ma le porzioni sono ristrette (avevo 7/8 ravioli).

È un'osteria moderna, con cucina di territorio con tocco creativo. Piatti tutti ottimi. L'ambiente è informale, il servizio molto attento e gentile. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

Well, this is my favorite restaurant in Florence. I know there's many good ones, amazing actually, but there's something about this place that sets itself apart! My fav is the Nduja pasta if you love spicy, but the chicken pate is to die for! I'm not a fan of pate but this is addicting and honestly pretty mind blowing if you ask me! It will blow your mind even if you're not a pate fan! And btw. I live here ????

Average food but what really brings down the rating of this restaurant is the staff and the absolute disrespect that was shown to me by the waitress serving us that evening, after she handed my boyfriend her telephone number, discreetly but whilst I was sat there, which shows to me she knew what she was doing was wrong. Vile behaviour towards not just a paying customer, but a human being who is clearly on holiday with her partner.

Wish I’d read the reviews about this place before because they are all emphasising the unprofessionalism of the staff there and I wouldn’t have eaten there and paid an extortionate amount of money for to be treated so disgustingly and been on the other end of such immoral behaviour from another woman.

My wife and I came for her birthday. She is a wine industry professional and I, a writer. We arrived early for our 7:30 reservation, and upon opening the doors, we were the second table seated. We were not greeted or offered drinks for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, other tables had begun receiving food. Eye contact and nods from servers…which was ours, who could say…resulted in our continuing to be ignored. Eventually, the hostess took our order, and after 45 minutes, we received a bottle of wine from a second server. Was it explained? Nope. (Luckily we knew what we were ordering…wine industry professionals.) Our food, when it came, was dropped on the table with no explanation by yet another server. It was delicious. Really, the food was exceptional. It would have been lovely to have it described. Alas, nothing. I had to wave anyone down to have our water refilled. Tonno, beautiful. Uovo, Leccino olive, carciofi, phenomenal. One bright spot was that they divided our shared spaghetti with clams into two bowls. Also delicious. The pork leg with roasted cabbage, just dropped on the table without explanation, was nice. I made note in our reservation that it was my wife’s birthday. Acknowledged? Nope. Okay, that’s fine. But never has either of us been so ignored in a dining experience, and we are diners. And we write about dining. Every server at this establishment should be fired. Management, unforgivable. Delicious food; worst dining experience in memory. Happy birthday, my love!

Lovely location for a traditional Italian restaurant. We had 3 courses for lunch and I have to say that the starter and dessert were best for me. Perhaps I should have had a pasta dish, which looked lovely, as always. Great selection of wines and really friendly staff.

Esperienza bruttissima sono arrivato alle 8, il ristorante era praticamente vuoto. Il cameriere mi dice devo guardare se c’è spazio, mi guarda un altra volta immediatamente dopo, senza guardare niente e mi fa “siamo al completo per la sera”. Sono probabilmente troppo brutto per questo ristorante.

This typical tuscan restaurant is located in the streets of the main center of Florence. We went there with a friend who lives in Florence and reccomended this place. All the dishes were tasty, the portions are “quite small” and the prices are “normal” for Florence.
In the evening it’s very nice here, there’s full of people and the ambience is warm due to the dark wood and the low lights.

Teníamos una reserva a las 13.45 y llegamos sobre las 13.30… entramos y preguntamos con mucha educación si podríamos quedarnos ya, de muy malas maneras nos invitó a dejar el paraguas en la entrada ( no me había dado cuenta que había un paragüero ) y que la mesa no estaba lista, que podíamos ir a tomar un vino en el restaurante de al lado ( que resulta ser del mismo ) todo esto con muy mal trato y casi echándonos, aceptamos tomar un vino y mientras pensar si queremos o no volver a ese sitio para comer… cuando estamos esperando por las bebidas en el otro sitio, este tipo llega y nos dice ( de nuevo muy muy malas maneras ) que la mesa está lista y entonces le decimos muy educadamente que no, que no queremos comer allí y que gracias pero que nos deje.

Su actitud para trabajar en hostelería es nefasta, si no le gusta su trabajo podría dejarlo y ese puesto cualquier persona más agradable podría hacerlo mucho mejor y eficaz que él. Nos sentimos decepcionados porque en ambos sitios el servicio ha sido ridículamente malo y obviamente no lo recomendaría.. si la comida está buena o no no lo sé pero tampoco comería a cualquier precio. Ah! Apunte gracioso : estar embarazada para ellos es sinónimo de tener “alergia” jajajaja, vergonzoso pero momento divertido. En fin este señor de pelo canoso con gafas, desagradable, arrogante, mal educado y estúpido. Si el es más que un simple empleado, como dueño del lugar me replantearía tenerlo de empleado o no.

No lo recomendaría.

Locale tipico toscano, ambiente molto gradevole e vivace. Ottima la scelta dei salumi (il salame di fegato per me è stato una scoperta) e dei formaggi tipici. Il panbrioche con il patè di fegatini è saporito e leggero, la ribollita ha un ottimo mix di sapori e consistenza, per non parlare dello zabaione, una spuma meravigliosa di leggerezza. Locale pieno ma servizio efficiente e personale simpatico e sorridente.

We had better expectations. Maybe we did not chose the right dishes.
Small antipasti with Tuscany products was expensive. Same with the beers, only have artisan beers and they cost from 6,5 euros, seems over-priced.

Booked the same day and got a table by the door. No worries at all. The service is warm, attentive, friendly and super helpful. The dishes seem simple but actually are elegant and subtle blends of high quality ingredients. Best dinner I've had in ages.

We had the ravioli al cinghiale, the rissotto with black cabbage (a must try), a sublime octopus and an exquisite Coscia di Maialino, accomoanied by their perfect recommendation for a paired wine. Each a wonderful well blended surprise. And a superb zabaione for desert.

Certainly not cheap, but definitely worth every penny. Please don't be like the person who blames an amazing restaurant for her anniversary mistakes. This is an awesome establishment!

Très bon restaurant de cuisine italienne inventive. Le quartier devient plus touristique et il ne faut pas oublier de réserver, de préférence la veille, même si le restaurant est très grand. On peut prendre l'apéro au bar à côté.

Les plats sont succulents!
Quant à la grappa, ils en ont 12!!!!! servis comme du cognac et excellente, mais attenntion elles sont très forte!!!

Quel repas!!! J'ai voulu manger des lasagnes pendant tout le séjours, je me suis rabattue le dernier jour sur des lasagne au pesto, je m'attendais à un plat écœurant...heureusement que je n'avais pas pris d'antipasti ni rien d'autre à côté, à mon grand regret je n'ai pas pu le finir, mais je n'ai jamais mangé d'aussi bonnes lasagnes.

Un repas à jamais gravé dans ma mémoire!
