My recent visit to El Fenn's bar & restaurant left me disappointed. Despite its reputation, the atmosphere lacked vibrancy, and the prices were unjustifiably high. Overall, it didn't live up to the hype - like so many other venues in Marrakech, making it hard to recommend for those seeking an authentic nightlife/bar/restaurant experience.

This dinner experience (together with many others such as Restaurant L’Italien at La Mamounia, Nomad, Kabana) or sightseeing made at the usual suspects (Le Jardin Secret, Grand Café de la Poste, YSL Museum & House, etc.) leads me to believe that perhaps Marrakech as a whole is marketed more aggressively than it can deliver.

I would not recommend anyone to visit the city at all while many other destinations in the world, most closely Istanbul, can deliver much better with a more moderate budget.

Avoid this place
Service is terrible, staff don’t have a clue what they’re doing and it’s so badly run. Food was the worst (and most expensive) that we had in Marrakesh. Spa is sub par, no facilities, not clean.
Go if you must and have one drink on the Terrace for photos and then get out of here. I genuinely don’t believe the 5 star reviews here.

Totalement surfait, accueil désagréable, problème de réservation au restaurant! Nous avons terminé au Rooftop : nourriture médiocre, service lent et nonchalant, management inexistant.

Rooftop: sloppy service with a lot of waiting while not being busy. Most expensive drinks in the city I think? 6 euros for a coke is a bit too much even for this place. Kinda overhyped. If you want to go later in the day or evening you need to reserve a spot cause first come first served.

My advice? No need to specially go there if you’re in the area okay; but not worth a detour

Nice location, but the bar was almost empty at the time of our visit on a Friday night. Plenty of waiters, busy talking to themselves. Too occupied to take care of our table and the problem with the lukewarm wine they served, we got entirely ignored for over 20 minutes. Not recommended.

I was extremely disappointed by the unprofessional behaviour of the staff, which is not what I expected considering my last visit in El Fenn few years ago.
We sat with our 2 little kids to the roof bar at 13:15 until a table in the restaurant will be free.
As soon as we sat we immediately ask for table availability and the response was that we should wait something like 30mins.
Finally, they gave us a table at 14:50!!! We took 10 minutes to decide what to eat, and when the waiter came to order he said that the kitchen I closed (15:00) and we can only order from the snack menu!!!
The most frustrating however, was that the waiter was pretending like we didn’t wait for almost 2 hours to get a table and when we said that at least they should respect our little kids the waiter said “this is not my problem”!!!!!
Completely unacceptable behaviour to us and our little kids.

Un riad espectacular, con un servicio impecable, una seguridad buenísima e instalaciones maravillosas . Recomiendo el la terraza, con piscina y unas vistas increíbles. Nos gusto muchísimo.

We wanted to visit on a weekday, early afternoon for a lunch (not a peak time), been told there was no space available. Later found out from our friends who were in already that there were space available. Then we decided to email for other days, they sent an automatic response email saying no availability for any days(!). This place is trying to copy soho house ( I am a member) but failing big time.

Stunning location for rooftop sunset cocktails. This was my favourite rooftop bar that I visited when in Marrakech, we did not book and there was no problem and arriving late afternoon to find a table for sunset. Beautiful atmosphere with chilled music and the most friendly staff. Highly recommend for views over the central mosque and surrounding medina.

Avis sur le restaurant - quel dommage que ce si bel établissement soit gâché par la médiocrité de l’accueil.
Une erreur dans la réservation nous a valu un “ce n’est pas mon problème” par l’hôtesse.

Malheureusement c’est devenu un haut lieu qui sélectionne fortement à l’entrée pour avoir une clientèle qui doit correspondre à ses standards… Nous avons souhaité visiter le roof top et avons sèchement été recalé :) Préférez un verre à la Mamounia qui vous accueillie avec plus de luxe et de gentillesse.

Tried to access the rooftop bar on 4 seperate occasions during our trip to be told it was closed due to weather, I could understand two of those times when it was heavy rain, but today when we tried it was dry and partly sunny, made no sense and I wonder how they actually make any money turning customers away.

We visited El Fenn for drinks and dinner and loved it! The rooftop is beautifully decorated and gives a fantastic view over the city. There were also plenty of seats available.

The food was really tasty and drinks great. I’d high recommend.

We came for lunch at El Fenn, myself, my husband and my son, and we had the most wonderful time. Great vibe, relaxed and chilled and brilliantly looked after my Jimmy. A few hours of bliss after the hectic but wonderful souk thank you

Exceptional, one of a kind. We had a sunset on the rooftop with wine and canapés. Everything was exciting and tingling. We made a small tour to the rooms to find out why it has the title the sexiest hotel. Yes it deserves it and by far. Luxurious rooms, original interior design. I will post photos and videos as words can’t describe the charm and beauty.
