Hôtel rénové face à la gare et proche du centre-ville avec room service 24h/24 et terrasse en teck
Très pratique, cet hôtel se situe face à la gare, très proche du centre-ville et de tous les transports en commun. Rénové avec goût, cet établissement historique a pris un sacré coup de jeune et son design contemporain et élégant est en adéquation avec la verrière de la gare de Strasbourg. La décoration est faite de mobiliers discrets, couleurs bien choisies et lumières tamisées. Ce qui fait de cet hôtel une étape douillette et chaleureuse. Les chambres Deluxe sont spacieuses. Dans les salles de bains : baignoire ou douche. Room service 24h/24 et belle terrasse en teck pour l'été. Personnel accueillant. Offres promotionnelles sur leur site Internet.

We stayed here the night before, and the night after, our trip to Europa Park (Eurostar from London, with a transfer in Paris, direct to Strasbourg).
A smooth check-in except for a minor glitch a few days before with credit card pre-authorisation (may have been a card issuer problem as we were in the UK and the charge authorisation coming from France). Solved by staff over the phone and paying upfront.
We had a room on the 5th floor overlooking the park and station.
Very clean room.
Good climate control during heatwave hitting 29°C outside.
Very good breakfast selection with tasty espresso - it's France; it has to be good coffee!
Our room on the way back was a newly renovated one on the 4th floor but it faced the side street, not the park. It was a nice room too.
Both rooms had very comfortable beds and pillows. The shower was great.
We used their baggage locker to store our luggage whilst we spent the day exploring town. Easy walk into town to see sights including the gorgeous cathedral; or catch the H bus at the train station to get to the EU parliament and nearby Orangie park (all recommended).
Tip: if coming from abroad including uk, pack a short multiple plug extension card so that you can fit an adapter to it and plug all your electronics into your extension's sockets -- the USB chargers are too heavy to stay fitted in the wall sockets with an adapter... as we discovered!
All in all great value for a great stay.
