My wife and I just spent another amazing stay at the Villa Belrose. This is nothing new, as we have been regular guests for years, but I wanted to share why I rank this hotel among the top three I have ever stayed at in the world (and I have stayed in many exceptional hotels).
• Location: At the entrance of Saint Tropez – not too near, not too far – overlooking the gulf with an amazing, unobstructed view.
• Rooms: Recently beautifully renovated; I recommend the ones with a terrace for a truly special experience.
• Service: Under the leadership of the GM, Robert Van Straaten who is omnipresent, the entire staff is extremely friendly and anticipates your every need. A special mention to the outstanding concierge team (Loic, Hugo, and David), who always go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable, and always with genuine warmth.
Lastly, check-in usually takes place on the hotel terrace facing the breathtaking view, with a glass of rosé in hand – what more could you ask for?

Un hôtel absolument exceptionnel, qui a toutes les qualités d'un GRAND hôtel! À seulement 10 minutes de Saint-Tropez, vous trouverez ce coin de paradis, calme et luxueux. Les équipes sont extraordinaires, merci encore à Caroline pour son accueil et sa gentillesse. Nous reviendrons !

Very nice hotel with excellent service and attention to details. Shuttle bus to Saint Tropez and the beaches makes the stay very comfortable. Spacious, well equipped rooms, great breakfast and dinner accompanied by magnificent views! Highly recommended!

We stayed at Villa Belrose for our honeymoon, and from the moment we arrived until the day we (reluctantly) left, every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful—it’s clear the team takes great pride in what they do.

The property itself is stunning. The decor and design have been recently updated and strike the perfect balance between elegant and chic. From the top decks, the views of the water are simply breathtaking, and the pool area—with its beautifully arranged layout and plush daybeds—was a perfect place to unwind.

The food on-site was excellent; breakfast in particular was a highlight, with delicious omelets and everything else you’d hope for. We also appreciated the small but high-quality gym and the complimentary shuttle to and from town, which made everything incredibly convenient. Special thanks to Hugo at the concierge desk, who helped us secure fantastic reservations during our stay.

We also found the location to be ideal for exploring the region, especially for rosé wine tours. During our time there, we spoke with several fellow guests who’ve been returning to Villa Belrose for years—and now we understand why. We loved our stay so much that we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Honestly, we almost didn’t want to leave this review because we’d love to keep this gem to ourselves—but the experience was too exceptional not to share. Highly recommended.

Een onvergetelijk verblijf – warm, attent en tot in de puntjes verzorgd||||Wat een geweldige ervaring! Vanaf het eerste moment voelden we ons ongelooflijk welkom. Het volledige team – van receptie tot conciërges en kamermeisjes – was zonder uitzondering gastvrij, attent, voorkomend, vrolijk en vriendelijk. Iedereen straalde oprechte aandacht en plezier uit, zonder dat daar één persoon uitsprong: het is duidelijk dat gastvrijheid hier in het DNA zit.||||Het hotel is recent prachtig gerenoveerd, wat zorgt voor een frisse en verfijnde sfeer. We komen hier al jaren, maar dit verblijf overtrof echt onze verwachtingen.||||Het ontbijt was fantastisch – rijk, gevarieerd en met zorg gepresenteerd – al weet ik de namen van het team helaas niet meer. Bij aankomst werden we op onze kamer verrast met een persoonlijke handgeschreven kaart van de directeur, Robert Jan Verstraten, een hartelijke welkomstkaart voor onze hond, een grote comfortabele mand, én een gekoelde fles heerlijke rosé, een tarte Tropézienne en een taartje van prachtig opgemaakt vers fruit. Alles met zoveel liefde en aandacht klaargezet – dat raakte ons echt.||||Zelfs onze hond werd volledig in de watten gelegd: naast de mand en de kaart kreeg ze ook een luxe Villa Belrose-box kado met een tennisbal en hondenkoekjes. Ook op het terras was ze welkom – daar werd ze liefdevol verzorgd met water in een stijlvolle hondenbak, terwijl wij genoten van een drankje met een prachtig uitzicht.||||Dank aan Michael voor de heerlijke espresso martini (mijn eerste!) en de klassieke bloody mary's – een perfecte start van onze vakantie. En speciale waardering voor Manon, die het terras en de bar runt met een grote glimlach en een natuurlijke souplesse – niets is haar teveel. Ze zorgt voor een ontspannen sfeer waarin iedereen zich gezien voelt.||||Wij zijn meer dan tevreden. Dit hotel voelt als thuiskomen, en we kijken nu al uit naar de volgende keer.

Le restaurant gastronomique est tout simplement remarquable : chaque plat est travaillé avec finesse, les saveurs sont équilibrées et le service est à la hauteur du cadre. Un véritable plaisir pour les papilles !

Le petit déjeuner mérite aussi d’être souligné : varié, généreux et d'une grande qualité. Des produits frais, un excellent café, et un choix aussi bien sucré que salé qui ravira tous les goûts.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt mehr als genossen und sind völlig erholt abgereist. Das Personal ist herzlich und kümmert sich sehr zuvorkommend um das Wohl der Gäste, aber niemals aufdringlich. Wenn man in der Gegend ist, lohnt es sich in der Villa Belrose zu übernachten. Das Lobster Roll Belrose ist ein Gedicht, überhaupt ist das Essen fantastisch. Man vergisst die Zeit in der Villa Belrose. Wir werden wiederkommen.

The hotel with the most beautiful view with La Messardiere in Saint Tropez. Staff is fantastic, very friendly and available. Food is good.
It is not in the city center so you will need the shuttle anytime you go somewhere (beach or city). Other than that it is perfect.

Die Villa Belrose ist in vielerlei Hinsicht besonders. |Hier wurde von Thomas Althoff wahrlich ein Refugium zeitloser Eleganz geschaffen! ||Das Hotel liegt in Gassin in einem privaten Villenviertel und bereits die Anfahrt auf den Hügel verspricht Ruhe und Erholung. Die Begrüßung erfolgte dann durch Hoteldirektor Robert van Straaten, der sich stets mit Charme und Galanterie um seine Gäste kümmert. Gebucht war ein Standard Meerblick Zimmer. Als geschätzte Leaders-Club Mitglieder erhielten wir ein Upgrade auf ein Prestige Doppelzimmer mit Meerblick. Auch der Late Check Out war kein Problem. Zu den zahlreichen Inklusivleistungen des Hotels zählen unter anderem die kostenfreie Minibar und der Shuttleservice in umliegende Orte. ||Die Zimmer sind seit dieser Saison frisch renoviert und mit edlen Materialien ausgestattet.|Besonders angenehm sind die zwei Aussenpools. Es gibt genügend Ruheliegen und das Gefühl "aufeinander zu liegen" wird vermieden. ||Die F&B Auswahl ist einem fünf Sterne Hotel angemessen und das Personal ist in sämtlichen Bereichen proaktiv hilfsbereit und freundlich. Bei diesen sportlichen Preisen könnte allerdings der ein oder andere Mitarbeiter noch etwas besser geschult werden. ||Der Concierge-Service überzeugte mit seinen tadellosen Empfehlungen.||Es gab während unseres Aufenthalts zwei kleinere Probleme, welche aber zum Glück schnell gelöst werden konnten. ||Vielen Dank an Herrn van Straaten und sein Team für diesen traumhaften Aufenthalt!|Auf ein Wiedersehen.

Wir waren nach 15 Jahren wieder im Villa Belrose und sind begeistert was daraus gemacht wurde. Es ist frisch renoviert und wirkt modern und stilvoll, hat aber nichts an Charme verloren. Service ist top, stets aufmerksam und freundlich. Zimmer sind wunderschön und sauber. Essen hervorragend. Ich kann wirklich keinen Makel finden! Wir können es kaum erwarten wiederzukommen! Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

We had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous elegant wedding in Villa Belrose last June. The Villa is intimate, quite and give a spectacular view of the Azure Coast and Saint-Tropez. The grounds of the hotel were impeccably maintained, providing endless photo opportunities for the couple and their guests. The indoor spaces were equally impressive, with elegant decor and plenty of natural light streaming in through large windows. One of the standout features of this hotel/wedding venue was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that the couple and their guests were well taken care of throughout the day. Their professionalism and attention to detail truly made a difference in capturing the magic of the wedding day.
The ceremony took place in the garden of the Villa with the view of Azure Coast. The reception was help in their inner ballroom which was very romantic and intimate! We would absolutely recommend Villa Belrose to any couple look for a picturesque setting to say “I do”. As a wedding photographer, I can confidently say that this venue is a dream to work with and provides the perfect backdrop for capturing beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

Die Herzlichkeit des gesamten Teams ist herausragend, jeder Gast ist namentlich bekannt. Bei jeder Reservierung oder bei jedem Ausflug wird man in allen Belangen durch Herr van Straaten und sein Team unterstützt.
Das Frühstück und der dazugehörige Ausblick auf der Terrasse sind ein absolutes Erlebnis. Auch der Ausblick aus der Lobbybar vor allem in der Abenddämmerung ist herausragend…

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt, wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, persönlich von Direktor begrüßt bei einem Glas Wein und Snacks.

Die Aussicht auf die Bucht ist sagenhaft, dazu das Ambiente und der Service runden den Aufenthalt bestens ab. Wir haben es sehr genossen.
