If you are a design lover looking for the perfect stay in Marseilles, this is it. The beautiful townhouse, delicious breakfasts, and warm service and personal recommendations from Jo and Veronique will make you question why you’d stay in a soulless hotel chain ever again.

Amazing small boutique hotel run by the owners - a mere 5 minutes walk from the station Gare St Charles. Very gritty quarter of town but super safe. So well located to reach Le Vieux Port, Le Panier and Le Cours Julien. The room was amazing with a 1950/60s feel - very well designed and lovely feeling. Amazing breakfast on a communal table exchanging with the other 4 rooms guests - highly recommended

Excellent and affordable accommodation in the heart of Marseille. The hospitality of the owner and the Lou (who ran the amazing breakfast) was top notch and we felt so welcome at this lovely spot. The beds were very comfortable and our room was nice and quiet. Highly recommend!!!

We traveled to Marseille by train so the location was perfect, just a 10-minute walk. Jo met us at check-in and provided much helpful information about the area. Our room, #68, was clean with a very nice vintage decor. There was a small balcony where we often enjoyed a glass of wine at the end of the day. Lou prepared a wonderful breakfast each day. She was very kind and offered helpful suggestions for our day. Pension Edelweiss was everything we'd hoped it would be. We would definitely stay there again.

We spent a month in Europe and Pension Edelweiss was by far the best accommodation we stayed at!

The room was large, spacious and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed people watching on the balcony.

But the highlight for us was the wonderful breakfast, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. If we are ever in Marseille again, we will definitely book Pension Edelweiss!

I recently stayed at a beautiful guesthouse with welcoming and informative staff. The balcony offered charming views of the classic European architecture. The staff made the stay exceptional with their warm hospitality and helpful recommendations. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enriching visit!

We arrived early to a fantastic welcome. This place is SO FRENCH and fantastique. Beautiful bricolage and amazing art and furniture. It’s like arriving in a set from a trendy art movie. Staff are so so lovely and will chat and make you feel so welcome. The recommendations for how to get to places and where to eat all made up for a fabulous stay in Marseille. We had a week in France staying in Antibes , Nice and Marseille. This was the highlight for us. I loved it and the city.|Only thing I didn’t like was having to sleep next to the wall in bed

Merveilleux hôtel où tout est pensé avec soin et beaucoup de goût : l'accueil personnalisé, la décoration des chambres, le petit déjeuner proposé chaque matin. C'est une bulle de fraîcheur et de calme à 5 minutes à pied de la gare Saint Charles. Nous recommandons et avons déjà hâte de revenir. Merci.

Un grand favori à Marseille. C'est la deuxième fois que j'y vais. Une ambiance magnifique, des meubles vintage de différentes époques et surtout un accueil chaleureux, des supers conseils et un petit déjeuner fantastique. Merci Lou ! Nous reviendrons.

La pension Edelweiss est une petite pépite de Marseille. Idéalement localisée, c'est surtout par la qualité de l'accueil que ce lieu se distingue. L'hôte est adorable, les conseils de visite sont accompagnés d'un petit café de bienvenue, le petit-déjeuner est royal. On se sent véritablement accueillis.

Proche de la gare St-Charles, une pension familiale avec des chambres stylées toutes différentes les unes des autres par une décoration recherchée où tous les objets ont été chinés avec soins.

Petit déjeuner de rêve si on aime manger autour d’une grande table dans une cuisine ou sur la petite terrasse intérieure avec un service très accueillant et agréable.

À sept minutes à pied de la Canebière.

Lovely stay with Pension Edelweiss providing a great base to explore the city and its surrounds. Hosts went out of their way to make us feel art home and provide suggestions to make the most out of our stay

Overall, this hotel has a great atmosphere. The service is amazing. The kind staff and great service here made my experience that much better. They are VERY patient, accommodating, and resourceful. As soon as you arrive they take the time to get you familiar with the city, providing nuanced recommendations for things to see, and places to eat and drink. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated with carefully curated vintage/mid-century art, furniture and fixtures. It is an older building so expect to hear minor noise from the hallway (footsteps/doors/etc). It’s very quiet for the most part and there’s rarely any street noise (if any). The breakfast is great and served family style at 9am everyday, so you have an opportunity to meet other travellers in case you’re on a solo trip like I was.

TL;DR: Best value for a unique hotel experience in the south of France. Highly recommended. Will be staying here again on my next trip to Marseille.

Such a charming and comfortable place! The perfect way to experience authentic French culture (including the complimentary breakfast with generous servings of French cheese, breads and jams, etc.) while staying in a traditional French building in a safe and lovely neighborhood. The hosts (everyone from the owners to the staff who served breakfast) were incredibly helpful and took a lot of time to provide the best experience possible including extensive tips about what to do and where to go to maximize our time. We followed their guidance to the T and had the perfect experience! The location is also excellent! Within walking distance of all the action and also within walking distance of the train station / bus transit to airport.

Pension à recommander. Bonne situation à proximité de la gare St Charles et de la Canebière.
Accueil chaleureux et attentionné. Petit déjeuner agréable, varié . Les jeunes filles qui nous ont accueillis étaient très agréables. Jolie décoration. Tout cela a contribué à une bien agréable découverte de Marseille .

Très bon séjour dans la pension. Tout est top. Accueil chaleureux par la propriétaire Véronique . Chambre très spacieuse et très propre. Petit déjeuner servi par une jeune fille super sympa ; rien ne manque . On a été gâté. Très bonne adresse. On fera de la publicité.
