Here are the issues we encountered:
1. We were charged €280 in local taxes at the hotel, significantly higher than the €98 indicated on our hotels.com booking confirmation. We challenged this, but the staff dismissed our concerns, claiming a recent increase to €8 per person per night. However, even at €8 per person per night, the hotels.com amount should have been correct. After much persistence, we received a refund for the extra charges. The hotel offered no explanation, leading us to believe the initial overcharge was intentional.
2. The hotel room used a key instead of a key card. Worse, the door did not lock automatically when closed. This was an unprecedented inconvenience.
3. The safe was malfunctioning. We requested immediate repair to store our valuables, given the risk of pickpocketing in Paris. Hotel staff promised repair between 4:00 and 4:30 PM, claiming it was their highest priority. However, the safe wasn't fixed until late at night, despite a reminder at 5:00 PM.
4. The hotel provided free water and coffee capsules but no tea bags or creamers. These basic amenities required a trip to reception, which was inconvenient and unacceptable.
5. Despite being the largest room in the hotel, there was no refrigerator or minibar. We had to ask reception to store and retrieve our fruit. This added unnecessary inconvenience. There was also no luggage rack, only a small stool—inadequate for three guests.
6. The room contained only glasses, not proper coffee mugs with handles. While a small double-walled glass was provided, it was too small for a decent cup of coffee, risking burns.
7. The shower tap was extremely stiff, requiring a wet towel to turn. Despite reporting this, the problem remained unresolved. In the final days of our stay, the shower drain became partially clogged, causing water to overflow after about three minutes.
Overall, the hotel's service and amenities were extremely poor and did not represent good value for money. Worse, it had tainted our experience in Paris. I strongly advise booking elsewhere.

Edit: in response to owner’s reply
I have no intention of further engaging in this discussion. My initial review accurately reflects the extremely disappointing experience I had at this hotel.
The purpose of this review is to warn other potential guests about the following significant issues: misleading local tax charges by the hotel; inconvenient room lock system requiring manual locking (using a key instead of a key card); malfunctioning hotel facilities requiring repeated requests for basic services and repairs; inadequate in-room amenities, requiring repeated trips to the front desk for essential items; and unresolved maintenance issues. My time is better spent elsewhere than debating these verifiable problems with the hotel management.
