Une cuisine appréciée concoctée par un chef triplement étoilé dans un cadre exceptionnel à Paris.
Lors de la reprise du Pavillon Ledoyen par Yannick Alleno en juillet 2014, on a pu lire un peu partout que ce chef triplement étoilé depuis 2007 y faisait un travail novateur sur les sauces, avec sa fameuse technique d'extraction. Il serait cependant réducteur de ne considérer que cet aspect de sa cuisine pour apprécier l'étendue de son talent. Un célèbre critique gastronomique a écrit dans une de ces chroniques : « Quand d'autres grands chefs du même registre se reposent sur leurs classiques, sinon sur leurs lauriers, Alléno balaye tout, refait tout, réécrit tout. » Peu de confrères auraient ainsi pu inscrire à la carte des linguine à la cancoillotte et à la truffe blanche d'Alba… Si vous décidez de casser la tirelire pour vous offrir une expérience gastronomique d'exception dans un cadre lui aussi exceptionnel, Yannick Alleno et sa brigade sauront rendre ce moment inoubliable. The staff is as you could expect for such a high standing venue, very friendly and caring. And the personalized menus for exceptional occasions is a pretty nice touch and always has a wow effect on the guests ????
Entrees were good but the main courses are bang average. It was even disappointing for those who chose not to eat beef as they were served with a simple pasta and blend poultry.
We ordered a bottle of a 500 Euro champagne and a couple of red at the same price range. Expectation was high, however, we were left puzzled as the service of wine were stopped in the middle of our dinner and our wine glasses were taken out without prior approval. What was more shameful was when we asked the manager, we were repeatedly told with a lie. There was a simple apology sent after the dinner, but it does not help compensate the loss and disappointment we suffered from the dinner.
Will never ever come back and recommend to anyone.
