Hôtel dans un quartier agréable de Paris où le charme d'antan est conservé dans les chambres et appartements avec terrasse.
Un coin étonnamment calme dans un des quartiers les plus agréables et les plus vivants de Paris, une belle maison et son extraordinaire jardin intérieur sur lequel donne certaines chambres, c'est toute cela l'hôtel de l'Abbaye. C'est à l'origine l'Abbaye de l'un des mouvements des bénédictines fondatrice de l'ordre du Saint-Sacrement. Les chambres ont conservé le charme d'antan et les appartements en duplex ouvrent tous sur une petite terrasse où l'on peut prendre son petit déjeuner avec vue sur les toits de Paris. Une ambiance très cosy où l'hiver le feu crépite dans la cheminée du salon.

We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel de l’Abbaye Saint-Germain to celebrate our 30th anniversary, and I can’t imagine a more perfect Parisian experience. We booked the apartment-style room, which felt like a total unicorn in Paris—a two-level suite! The main floor had a cozy and elegant living room with a fireplace, a desk, a comfortable sofa, and a full bathroom. Then up a charming spiral staircase to the bedroom level, where we were greeted by a king-size bed (yes, a king bed in Paris!), another desk and sitting area, and a half bath. It felt more like a romantic Parisian pied-à-terre than a hotel room.
The hotel itself oozes that 6th arrondissement charm—all the magic of Saint-Germain, but with refined touches of luxury and whimsy. You’re not in some sterile chain hotel—you’re in Paris, and you feel it in every detail: the garden courtyard, the classic yet cozy decor, and the warm, personalized hospitality.
The front desk staff were delightful—kind, helpful, and genuinely invested in making our stay special. Housekeeping was delightful and impeccable including an Angelina's sweet on our pillow every.nIght. The breakfasts were divine: buttery croissants, perfect coffee, exquisite jams… and don’t even get me started on the butter—I’m still talking about it.
Location? You can’t beat it. Just steps from Luxembourg Gardens, Saint-Sulpice, and Le Bon Marché (the best shopping in Paris, hands down). You’re within walking distance of all the top brasseries, boutiques, and Left Bank landmarks, and it’s an easy ride to the more tourist-heavy 1st arrondissement—but trust me, you’ll want to come “home” to the 6th every time.
This hotel is romance, charm, and pure Parisian soul. We’ll be back, again and again.
