Américain tombé sous le charme de la Normandie, Zachary Wagner a insufflé une nouvelle vie à cet ancien bar délaissé. Depuis 2022, ce lieu chaleureux aux tons bleus et aux fauteuils en velours accueille les voyageurs et les locaux en quête d'une pause gourmande. Café à l'américaine avec une touche mexicaine, le Léo's Café (qui tire son nom de la mascotte de l'établissement) propose une carte qui fait la part belle aux saveurs outre-Atlantique. Cappuccinos, lattés et autres cafés à l'américaine côtoient des spécialités tex-mex comme les burritos et les quesadillas.

We had just visited the Monet house during the recent heat wave and needed food to for the long drive out to Mont St Michel. We drove over to the Giverny city center and found Leo's Cafe, an unassuming little corner restaurant. Upon entering, Zak pleasantly greeted us in French, then noticed we were American and transitioned to American accented English. This was the most welcome surprise after spending two weeks in Europe and the hodgepodge of languages spoken within. He cooked us some of the best food in France (who would have thought traditional Mexican food would be it!) and offered us a cold beer and margaritas. He and my friend got into a deep conversation about physics and the faux-pas of traveling abroad, and shared a bit of his story. The food was incredible, Zak and his wife are awesome people, and Leo the dog is as good of a boy as can be. The next time we go to France, we'll be stopping by Leo's!
