Questions fréquentes :

We took the most extensive tasting menu and out of 11 dishes. Possibly 2 were good (the lobster and the meat dish at the end). The other 9 were between mediocre to nothing.
Dishes were mostly tasteless (or way too salty), presentation was not appealing at all, nothing sophisticated about the dishes. When even the desert looked like a mousse of chocolate with granola (seriously?!?) and not even a good one... I wonder how you can ruin a desert in a country where pastries and sweets are incredible in any, around the corner, boulangerie even in the most remote towns in the country.
Service was also below average. Definitely, not a fine dining experience. Menu only in French (even though 50% of customers were non-French speaking). The waitresses were mainly serving the food. Hardly, any interaction with the guests. Very brief explanation about the food and the general feeling is that they were just taking orders and making sure that you get your dish. Once they even confused us with another table and served us the same dish again (which again is not a big deal but still).
Then you ask for water, just still water. You get their own filtered water, it costs 6 euros for 750 ml... ok, but then again - you serve yourself the water. So, we finished our glasses and then you would imagine that somebody would refill you water glass... eh eh not at Saint Placide. At a certain moment we even finished the water bottle and we had to ask for another bottle...Nobody even noticed that our glasses and bottle are empty. When I go to a regular restaurant I would be absolutely ok with that, but for a Michelin starred restaurant with a price tag of 500+ Euros for 2 people - we would expect something else.
Overall, a mediocre experience, tasteless food, bad presentation, below average service. Completely overpriced. (More than 250 Euros per person).
Quel moment de plaisir! Merci à l'équipe.
