The menu changes frequently but always seems to favour dishes strong on French flavours and Burgundian stainless. Tonight, I had braided beef cheek prepared similar to a boeuf bourguignon.
Every dish we've tried has been shockingly excellent.
The food was very very good with fresh and super flavourful dishes that featured local cusine but with a twist.
The skill and passion of the kitchen were evident in every dish and Chef Philippe was even so kind to answer our questions about the preparation and ingredients.
When I mentioned to the staff that I could not eat the desert featured in the menu due to an allergy, they let me choose an alternative dessert from the menu. Generally the service was super accomodating and made us feel very welcomed.
DZ envies offers amazing hospitality, outstanding food at a super fair pricing. We'll definitely be returning when in Dijon again!

After mustering the courage to ask a michelin-cited/michelin-starred-managed/gault-mileau-awareded restaurant for the recipe of one of the most interesting salt-based mixtures I've ever eaten (a condiment that accompanied one the best French Andouillettes I've eaten), Chef Philippe took the time to patiently explain to me that the 11 (!) ingredients were too many to remember but that he would happily take my number and text me the ingredients...which he did...with the exact ratios.
This selfless generosity, coupled with the Chef's 17 years young savoir-faire at the helm of the restaurant, elevated a simple flavoursome traditional French dish into one of our hightpoint experience in Dijon.
If you're reading this far, trust me...this is a no brainer. Go eat some great food at great prices with some great wine in a great place. And say hello to Chef Philippe for me!
The lamb was just okay, not much flavor, and again a small portion. I’m going to change my tune for the dessert: it was absolutely brilliant!! Maybe the best dessert I’ve ever had. And it was plentiful… The wine was excellent.”

Malheureusement je ne comprends pas du tout cette référence que ce soit au niveau de l’accueil, l’ambiance, le service et la cuisine ????????????????????????
Une vraie déception malgré les attentes promises par Michelin, à moins qu’il y ait longtemps qu’il ne soit pas retourné.
Si vous attendez du Michelin alors à éviter, vous serez déçu.
À bon entendeur.

Vins rouges proposés à la carte pas très variés pour une région où il y a beaucoup de vins. Gamay pas très bon, trop jeune
