Food cooked from the soul indeed. We had both menus which were amazing.
Mathieau was a great host and so accommodating. Wine recommendations could not have been better and great value. Great way to spend our first night in France and we will come back here for sure. Would highly recommend…..

Great to return here for an evening in 2025. Mathieau was again a great host and the food was yet again amazing. One of our favourite places to visit for an evening in Beaune. No hesitation in recommending such a great little restaurant!

Juste parfait ! Tout était délicieux. Des beaux produits bien travaillés, du goût, du visuel, une très belle carte des vins. Franchement à Beaune, dans un très joli cadre un menu : entrée plat dessert pour 33€ et bien il n’y a rien à redire.
Sauf, sauf qu’il faut vraiment si prendre très longtemps à l’avance pour avoir une table. Félicitations Monsieur ! Nous reviendrons c’est certain. Corinne

Once a hidden gem, this wonderful bistro is sure to please all - delicious traditional course in a relaxed environment in the heart of Beaune. One person does it all (preparing the cuisine and providing service) all with a smile. We’ve been enjoying this spot since it opened ~4 years ago and highly recommend it!

We made our reservation well in advance based on the fantastic reviews. We were not disappointed. Mathieu is the owner, chef and server he manages to deliver a fantastic experience for all guests in a relaxed setting. We enjoyed the weekly menu with a good bottle of local wine. Amazing tastes. We wish Mathieu all the best on his culinary journey.

This place was just lovely. It’s super small (12-ish seats) and the chef does everything - cook, serve, and host! There are two three-course menus to choose from and the food was superb! And as a bonus, it’s super reasonably priced. If I lived in Beaune, I would be a regular!

My husband and I visited Beaune four years ago and went to soul kitchen. I can’t believe I forgot to give a review. It was the most memorable experience from beginning to end. Can’t wait to go back. We live in United States, but I would go back just for this restaurant.

Sehr schönes kleines Lokal mit tollem regionalen Essen und Weinen. Es gibt 2 Menüs zur Auswahl. Der Chef ist in der Küche und im Service, Respekt! Jederzeit immer wieder gerne.

Magnifica esperienza culinaria in questo piccolo ristorante, il titolare che è anche lo chef ed il maitre , soltanto due menù , uno della tradizione ed uno che varia ogni settimana. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, piatti confezionati con ingredienti di qualità e con grande cura e passione che si percepiscono ! Bravissimo

Well, what can I say? You must put this place on your to-do list if you're visiting Beaune. The food was amazing, the service was great and the wine suggestion for our lunch was perfect and the most amazing thing is the owner Mathieu is your chef, waiter, maitre d, barista, kitchen hand and I assume dishy. He does not skip a beat wearing all of these hats executing your 3 course dining experience like a true professional. We had the permanent menu of Berthaut Epoisses tart (cheese tart), Beef Beef Bourguignon, and blackcurrant cream/gingerbread nonette. All 3 courses we're absolutely amazing and if we had the time we would go back for the other 3 course menu which changes regularly. Remember to book, though, as he has limited capacity to ensure his guests get the best experience possible. Thank you Matthew you're an absolute legend!! ????????????

Wir wurden so verwöhnt. Es schmeckte einfach wunderbar! Der Service war sehr angenehm und sympathisch. Die Weinbegleitung perfekt! Wir kommen garantiert wieder, wenn wir in der Nähe sind. Reservieren, da es sehr wenige Plätze hat und sehr gut gebucht ist.

In diesem Restaurant gibt es Platz für zwölf Gäste, zwei Menüs und einen Chef, der Küche, Service, Weinempfehlung und Smalltalk als One-Man-Show betreibt. Und erstaunlicherweise ist er in allen Bereichen sehr talentiert und macht einen super Job. Hut ab!

Es gibt ein permanentes (das klassische mit Bœuf bourguignon) und ein wöchentlich wechselndes Menü. Dazu eine sehr gute Weinkarte. Das Ambiente hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Essen und Wein waren sehr gut. Der Service war äußerst nett und sehr unaufgeregt. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Bei den Bewertungen und der maximalen Gästezahl ahnt man schon: Hier muss man rechtzeitig reservieren.

Een buitengewone ervaring. Één man en zijn restaurant! Één klein restaurant waarin de eigenaar/chef/ober en gastheer tegelijk is. Twee menu's waarvan 1 met de geweldige Boeuf Bourguigon. Één van de beste ooit geproefd. Met een overvolle buik de deur weer uit. In één woord 'Geweldig'
Inderdaad wel reserveren want de ruimte is beperkt. Chapeau !

Lekkere keuken. 3 gangen menu aan zeer democratische prijs. Maar het waren vooral ook de wijnen die bekoorden. Een super geslaagde avond. Veel succes.

Restaurante espectacular, la comida es de una muy buena calidad y un precio muy asequible, el Chef trata directamente con los clientes y es muy amigable y cercano. Tienen un menú de cocina típica Bourguignon y otro de comida estacional que varía de semana en semana. 100% recomendable

One of the best restaurants in Beaune. Simple menu but every bite unforgettable. Do NOT MISS the tarte de Epoisses. Must make reservations. Chef owner on site and simply delightful.
