Maradiva ist eine der schönsten Hotel, die ich jemals in meinem Leben gesehen habe. Was mich aber wirklich begeistert hat, ist die Herzlichkeit vom gesamten Team. Sie sind erst zufrieden, wenn die Gäste glücklich sind.!

Je suis vraiment désolée de lire l’évaluation de notre hôtel, plus précisément les chambres, le service et la location que vous avez rédigée par rapport à la white party que nous organisons une fois l'année au Maradiva Villas Resort and Spa malgres le fait que vous ne résidez pas chez nous.

Par-dessus tout , nos clients peuvent confirmer que Le Maradiva Villas Resort and Spa est reconnu pour la tranquillité que nous offrons à notre clientèle.

D'ailleurs, seriez t'il possible qu'on se rencontre avant votre depart pour rectifier ce genre de désagrément car nous sommes pas seulement soucieux de proposer en permanence le meilleur service possible à nos clients mais aussi à tous ceux qui viennent en vacances à l’île Maurice.

We have just spent a week at the villas and are due to leave today, with heavy hearts. Our stay has been outstanding. Every member of staff we have encountered has been delightful. Nothing has been too much trouble for anyone. The room and pool were immaculately maintained daily. The restaurant staff were warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The bar staff were lovely and remembered our favourite drinks and villa number. We travelled with friends who have never visited Mauritius before and they have had a wonderful week. Weather let us down but the resort certainly did not. We hope to visit again one day.

The level of cleanliness was so impressive that we were making fun saying the personnel is hidden in trees watching us so they can go clean as soon as we left the rooms. I don't think it gets better than this, honestly.
Every request that you might have, done. Nothing is a problem for them. They have the most qualified staff I have ever seen. I envy their professionalism.
Animals all around: the orange fishes at the reception, the rabbits at night, the fruit bats flying around, the lizard in our villa. Beautiful.

We visited the Hotel in November 2022 and here are our impressions:

⁃ First of all we want to thank Mrs. Shanenaz, she’s doing such a great job at housekeeping. She’s always smiling, kind and tries to help with everything. We really appreciated her outstanding work and also her personality. We hope that the Managers of Maradiva also reward and honor what she’s doing day by day.

⁃ Service staff was always friendly and tried to fulfill every request, especially Mrs. Sharonne. She’s such a kind person and always in a good mood.

⁃ Big rooms / Villas

⁃ Air conditioning in the bedroom is very noisy (if you put it in „sleep mode“ it’s not cooling enough even if the room was cooled down before)

⁃ Food is good quality and tastes great but some dishes (only few) are overcharged and not worth the full price

⁃ Every Sunday there’s a buffet with local specialties and food, that’s a really great experience

⁃ Sparkling water is also very overcharged (I understand that San Benedetto water in a glass bottle from Italy may cost more than other but if you get sparkling water of the brand „Crystal“ in a plastic bottle (!!!) which is even bottled in Mauritius and it still costs more than 5€ it’s not understandable)

⁃ Spa treatments are great, the staff there is very friendly. It’s always a relaxing experience to visit the spa. You can use the hot tubs whenever you want, what’s a very nice addition

⁃ Fitness centre is very clean, the available machines are okay, you’ll get fresh fruits, water and towels

⁃ Beach service is good but staff is sometimes rarely available/visible. But if you order daily, they’ll remember you and you’ll get a great service.

⁃ Weather was always great (even it was very windy sometimes) - we visited the hotel in November

⁃ The wooden floor in the bedroom is very noisy if you walk on it (even woke me up from deep sleep when my partner got up before me)

⁃ Wifi was even available at the beach

⁃ Motor boats are using the channel directly in front of the hotel the whole day which can be very noisy sometimes and you’ll always have to look after them when swimming ( they’re driving approximately 10-15 meters in front of the beach)

⁃ You have an amount of only 1800 Mauritian Rupees of credit per person. If you achieved it you have to pay your bill at the reception or you could pay an amount of money in advance at the beginning so you don’t have to pay any other day. Or you can pay everything instantly when you order.

⁃ Unfortunately there were ants everywhere around the sinks and on the walls in the bathroom and in the wardrobe (even got 1 in the bed), even the housekeeping did a great job … it was always nice and clean.

⁃ Restaurant Teppan: good food but the live cooking was just for main course and the worst: every couple received their main course at same time, just not we. We had to eat at different times, that’s senseless if you go for dinner as couple. In the end it was stressful because obviously there’s a second reservation at 9 pm (which nobody told us) so they all hurried up and already cleaned up for the next guests as we still had dessert. Doesn’t feel very welcoming.

Das Resort ist vorübergehend geschlossen und wird renoviert. Den wunderschönen langen Strand kann man aber nutzen. Es gibt viel Platz und man hat hier seine Ruhe. Bäume bieten jede Menge Schatten.
Außerdem ist das WiFi des Hotels trotz Renovierung aktiv, frei zugänglich und funktioniert erstklassig.
Wer also aktuell ein wenig Ruhe abseits der geöffneten Anlagen sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Wir hatten in einem Urlaub gleich zwei benachbarte Hotels zur Verfügung! Das Sands war schon toll, aber das Maradiva ist unfassbar glamoröus. Die einzelnen Villen mit eigenem Pool in einem tropischen, höchst gepflegtem Garten haben es an nichts fehlen lassen. Der Service ist einmalig. Auch der Chef selbst, Tristan, war höchst zuvorkommend und überaus nett. Das Paradies kann auch nicht besser sein.

Good but half-board is very bad specially the dinner, limit menu for dinner no buffet, they want you to pay more they don't care about you even you pay for water, very disappointed from maradiva.

Kindly note that your comments have been shared already with our Chef and the Food and Beverage Team and please take note that they are working on more menus in order to appease our guests coming from all around the world.

Also, note that we have buffets for dinners in our main restaurants on Sundays and on special events and have in total four restaurants at the resorts.

Ein Paradies auf Erden! Man hatte das Gefühl alleine auf einer Insel gestrandet zu sein. Meer, Sand, Sonne und das Singen der Vögel.
Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt von 2 Wochen und konnten den Alltag hinter uns lassen und relaxen! Genau was wir gesucht haben.
Wir genossen die hervorragenden Massagen und das Ambiente im Wellness Bereich.
Wir haben selten solch freundliches, hilfsbereites und zuvorkommendes Personal angetroffen.
Diese Hotel ist einfach zum weiterempfehlen!!!

Прекрасный отель - третий по счету в этот приезд.
Отель в окружении буйной растительности, напоминающий джунгли. Хороший пляж, море почти без кораллов.
Виллы комфортные и просторные , все с бассейнами. Сначала не очень понравился вид . Вилла была на второй линии и созерцать стену предыдущей всю неделю было не очень комфортно. Меня услышали - следующая вилла с видом на ле Морн отвечала всем нашим запросам.
Спасибо за апгрэйд.
В отеле 4 ресторана. Мы побывали лишь в двух, в индийском и японском не были, так как не являемся их фанатами . Про рестораны напишу отдельно в другом посте.

СПА салон посетила только один раз, так как немного обгорела на солнце.
В принципе - ничего особенного, ( я постоянно сравниваю все посещения со СПА салоном в отеле Bushmann Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Wellness Retreat в Южной Африке, после процедур в котором хотелось порхать, как бабочка ), этого ощущения , к сожалению , давно не ощущала . Хотя все было на очень высоком уровне.

Завтраки в отеле неплохие, хотелось бы побольше свежих овощей . Они почему-то были только в готовом виде.

В целом очень приятная атмосфера, нет суеты, людей почти не видно , что располагает к спокойному отдыху.
По берегу расположено много других отелей, так что если кому-то захочется разнообразия - оно рядом .

Leider musste ich meine positive Bewertung zurückziehen, da wir zum Ende unseres Aufenthaltes im Umgang mit dem Zyklon nur schlecht behandelt wurden. Aufgrund des Zylkones mussten wir eine Nacht länger bleiben, da unser Rückflug auch storniert wurde. Diese zusätzliche Nacht wurde zum absoluten Höchstpreis berechnet - auf Nachfrage wurde bestätigt, dass beim Aufkommen eines Zylkones absichtlich die Preise erhöht werden - das sagt natürlich sehr viel über das Management des Maradivas aus. Aus so einer Leidenssituation Kapital zu schlagen, ist natürlich total daneben.

Ich hätte dem Resort eine gute Bewertung gegönnt, da der Service der Mitarbeiter wirklich hervorragend war. Leider hat auch eine Lebensmittelvergiftung aufgrund von nicht richtig zubereiteten Fisch und Garnelen meinen Aufenthalt beeinflusst - zwei Tage ging es mir nicht gut.

Dennoch war das Frühstück im Hotel hervorragend. Joshan sorgte immer dafür, dass ich alles hatte, was ich brauchte, und sein Service war stets professionell und aufmerksam.

Zusätzlich möchte ich noch betonen, dass das Resort stets in einem sehr guten Zustand gehalten wurde. Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels waren sehr fleißig und sorgten dafür, dass die Anlagen immer sauber und ordentlich waren.

Me and my partner spent a week at Maradiva Resort with the idea of catching up on a much needed rest along with free vitamin D.

Location: amazing. Beautiful beach and luxurious gardens. If you get a chance to rent a car, it’s easy to find and park. You’ll also be able to discover the island, the tarmac over there is smoother than a greasy gravy just be aware of speed cameras and overzealous police. We didn’t have any issues whatsoever in that aspect.

Room and activities: I’ll give you that, you can tell that time has passed by, decor wise, but everything is spotless clean and thoughtfully detailed. Pool is perfect and the occasional mosquito was swiftly disposed by the fauna living nearby. No issues on that side whatsoever. Don’t miss out on the massive bats flying around in the evenings, they are magnificent.
The spa is excellent, staff always keen on helping and treatments wise, they are worth the money. Gym is great,don’t forget to head afterwards to the saunas to recover. It’s free and it’s always really quiet. There’s also a cold pool for all of you, Wim Hof fans.

Restaurants: we went half board and did not regret it. Don’t get me wrong after you week there might a deja-vu feeling with the menu. There are 3 restaurants (continental-Indian-Teppanyaki style). In general quality wise it’s very good, quantity might not, depending on your previous meal and appetite. But fear not, there’s a wide range of option that you can order at any time. Views and atmosphere of all 3 are awesome, along with service.

Staff: very , very good. Polite, helpful and friendly. Some of it is quite young and haven’t had a chance to brush up skills but they are committed. If you have a chance engage with the locals as well, on the beach, they will very happily tell you more about the island and give you some great tips.

To sum up, it’s a little gem as is the island. And yes it might need a bit of spring cleaning and undusting. So it’s all really down to expectations vs budget, but to us it was worth it. Got my well deserved sunburn, spent hours floating like a baby seal and met a new culture.

Je souhaite tout d’abord remercier la totalité du personnel que nous avons rencontré durant notre séjour de 10 nuits de l’accueil en passant par les restaurants et services de l’hôtel, une mention spéciale à shenaz pour la qualité de l’entretien de notre villa. Un personnel gentil, très poli et surtout à l’écoute totale de nos envies. ( organisation d’un repas d’anniversaire en soirée à la villa ????????????????) cet établissement mérite totalement ses étoiles 5 ⭐️ Maradiva un coin de paradis dans une ambiance cosy, du calme,vous en prendrez plein les yeux de la plage ou au bord de la Piscine. Les restaurants indiens ou japonais nous ont fait vivre des plaisirs culinaires de qualité mention spéciale au chef Kelly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️????.Un grand merci au manager général Mister Tristan pour nous avoir permis de vivre ce moment inoubliable ????????⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Nous avons vécu une très expérience à l’hôtel Maradiva. C’est un endroit magique, dépaysant et paradisiaque! Les villas sont magnifiques et au calme. Le personnel est très accueillant et aux petits soins pour les clients. L’hôtel dispose de nombreux services: une salle de sport, un terrain de tennis, un spa avec une piscine chauffée etc. C’est un établissement de qualité que je recommande. Un grand merci à tous les professionnels et tout particulièrement au Général Manager Monsieur de La Porte du Theil pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité au cours de notre séjour.

A two-star aspirant, feigning five-star credentials.

My party were considering Maradiva as a venue for a major wedding in late 2023 and, to this end, booked a weekend meal and spa treatment at the hotel.

Noticing the haplessness of the receptionist during the original booking call, my PA called back two days later to confirm the reservation – at which point the shambolically flustered phone agent could not find any trace of it. No matter, we reconfirmed the reservation. On the day of the visit, we drove 70 minutes from the One & Only in Belle Mare, only to be embarrassingly detained in thirty degree heat by the security gate because "we have no record of your reservation" – quelle surprise! After fifteen minutes of watching them flounder, we picked up the security gate phone and rang the reception directly – only to be blithely told by yet another indifferent receptionist that "we have no reservation". Clearly, it is beyond the resources of a five-star hotel to invest in an internal reservation system – or a pen and paper.

Furious, we put down the phone and drove back another 70 minutes to Belle Mare.

Simply, this would NEVER happen in an authentic European, S. E. Asian or American hotel.

It would behoove the management of Maradiva to learn that being five-star is earned not merely by having a pretty turquoise beach – given to them in any case by nature and hardly their own endeavours – and some shiny teak planking, but rather by authentic and sincere interest in customer experience.

Do not book Maradiva for any important family experience.

You can find an prettier beaches in the Maldives, Seychelles, Thailand etc., – and incomparably more welcoming service.

We're looking forward to Ornella coy-pasting exactly the same contemptuous hotel response that Google customers will notice has been lazily provided to every single complaining reviewer of Maradiva.

Another mark of the hotel's mere pretensions to international standards – since a genuine five-star hotel would send an INDIVIDUALISED, empathetic response to each client.

Go check the Google page of The Ritz or George V and see if the guest team have plastered copy-paste everywhere.

I wanted to thank you for your interest in organizing a wedding at Maradiva and having a visit
and breakfast on the 7th of January 2023.

I also apologize for the misunderstanding that happened regarding your breakfast reservation.
Moreover, I understand your grievance but this is not our fault since the mail sent to your PA on the 4th of January 2023 did not reach you.

Kindly see below the mail sent to your PA on the 4th of January 2023 declining your request for breakfast on the 7th Jan due to high occupancy, according to me this mail did not reach you, or else you will not have driven for 70 min from Belle Mare to Flic en Flac on the 7th Jan.

"Dear Mrs. Grace,
Warmest Greetings from Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa!
Further to your request below, I regret but we do not have any booking for breakfast under the name of Pharos as mentioned below.
Due to high occupancy, we cannot respond positively to your request either. "

I'm also quite surprised to read that you gave us a 2-star rating, mentioning not to book Maradiva without even experiencing the resort.

Also, please note that all guests' suggestions are dealt with individually at the resort itself in order to find an immediate solution.

die Villen sind wunderschön und das Resort fühlt sich durch die separaten Villen mit Pool nicht überlaufen an. Toller Pool und Terrasse mit außen Dusche .
. wir waren über Weihnachten 6 Tage dort und es gab ein schönes Weihnachtsfest mit Life Band und Kinder Attraktionen . Nettes Frühstück, toller Service und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Kinderfreundlich.
Toller Gym und tennis Platz . Auch bei windigen Wetter sind die Villen geschützt. Schöner Strand

Preis/Leistung im Bezug aufs Essen . mit um die 600€ am Tag Halbpension sollten alle Speisen und Getränke ab Abend inklusive sein.
unverschämte Getränke Preise mit 5€ für Wasser und Softdrinks , 15€ 1 Glas Wein . lange Wartezeiten bei essen und Getränke Bestellungen.
Abendessen mittelmäßige Qualität und fast alle guten Gerichte sind mit extra kosten belastet , man fühlt sich beraubt und es geht nur ums Geld machen ☹️
die im preis enthaltenen Wasser Aktivitäten sind mit unterbesetzten Service nicht empfehlenswert. mein Mann hat sich am Bein verletzt da ihm die Treppe beim Boot verweigert wurde . Meine Tochter wollte nach 1h im kids Club nicht mehr dort hin da es ihr zu langweilig war .
leider wurden die versprochenen Flitterwochen Annehmlichkeiten wie ein Rosenblätter Bad und später check out nicht eingehalten .
schlechte Kommunikation bei Buchung , keine Antworten und kein Service.
Kaputter duschkopf und stinkendes wc.
Wir hatten aber im Großen und Ganzen 6 tolle Tage dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt
