Amazing host Ollie and very welcoming.
Definitely recommend, our stay was very comfortable, clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast was a highlight, tried the famous whiskey porridge, full Scottish breakfast and pancakes was top notch!!!

We had an exceptional stay at this guesthouse during our visit to Edinburgh. The room was superbly comfortable, and the breakfast was the best we've had so far on our journey through Scotland. The staff were attentive and went the extra mile to ensure we had a pleasant experience. Although the location is a bit removed from the city center, there's convenient parking available just a 10-minute walk away, which saved us from street parking. Highly recommended for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

Wir wurden zum Check-In persönlich von Mirela empfangen und uns wurde alles erklärt!
Die Lage ist top. Man ist zu Fuß in ca. 25-30 min in der Princes St, aber man kann auch die Tram oder verschiedene Busse nehmen. Vom Flughafen fährt man fast direkt bis zur Unterkunft 40 min mit der Tram. Genial!
Das Frühstück war großartig! Man kann zwischen verschiedenen Gerichten wählen und es gibt sogar eine Vorspeise (z.B. Porridge mit Whiskey). Alles wurde frisch zubereitet. Leider konnten wir am 2. Morgen aus zeitlichen Gründen nicht frühstücken, da wir zum Flughafen mussten. Mirela hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir ein Frühstückspaket zum Mitnehmen bekommen. Das war super!
Im Zimmer war es sehr ruhig. Generell wirkte alles sehr ruhig und privat.
Wir können es absolut empfehlen!!!

Ben Cruachan is a beautiful guest house situated in New Town, Edinburgh. Ollie and Mirella were incredibly accommodating, kind and generous hosts and were there to greet us on arrival. Our room was large and modern with a view into stunning gardens and a large bathroom with double sink and a spacious shower. The breakfasts are delicious and feature multiple courses, tea or coffee and orange juice. The scottish porridge, full scottish breakfast and pancakes should not be missed - scrumptious! They also offer a range of Tunnocks goodies complimentary. If you can't make it to breakfast because of an early tour or flight, they make a little package overflowing with yummy foods, juices and coffee in a can to make sure you don't miss out. I would highly recommend Ben Cruachan to anyone looking for a home base in Edinburgh.

This was such a lovely place to stay. It was clean, comfortable, and a great location. Ollie was outstanding and really looked after us, from making sure we could find our way around the city and keeping us comfortable and filled up with delicious breakfasts!

We spent two nights at Ben Cruachan and loved it so much! Room number 2 is just simply beautiful and even bigger than you would expect from the pictures.
The guesthouse is located in a more quiet area but still close to all the sightseeing spots in Edinburgh. Ollie is the best host and helps you with everything. Breakfast can be chosen from a variety of options. We tried the Scottish breakfast, the Salmon breakfast and the Continental breakfast. All of them were great and come with porridge and drinks (coffee, tea and juice). They also have a nice garden in the back of the house.

An intermate well appointed guest house beautifully decorated. Rooms were well appointed the bed and pillows were very comfortable and aided in a great night's sleep. On suit facilities good. Breakfast was excellent (try the porridge????????) the full Scottish (english????) was delicious and just right to set you up for an Edinburgh trek. Thank you Ollie and staff for a great fringe/tattoo weekend. Will definitely call again.

Clean, comfy, quiet. Ollie was an excellent host, and was very accommodating for us. Room was a perfect place to relax. Walking distance to everything. Breakfast was amazing. Would stay again.

We had a great stay at Ben Cruachan Guest House. We spent two nights overthere, the room was a little bit small but very comfy, calm and clean. There are numerous public transport around the guest house so you can easily visit Edinburgh if you don't want to walk. The breakfast is sooo nice, it's rare to have such great products. Thank you so much :)

Nice rooms, amazing English breakfast, and very friendly service. We lost our key in the hotel and they sent it back to us free of charge. Thank you so much again for the wonderful experience.
