Atmosphere was very cool and accentuated the Scottish whisky lover vibe, but the service on the day I was there was poor. I ordered a certain beer and they gave me something totally different and told me that was the beer I ordered. It was pretty disrespectful and they didn’t apologize or even say they need to fix the menu. Prices were steep (to be expected in the royal mile), but they have a fair variety of scotch tastings on offer. Other places similar so I probably wouldn’t go back. Service can make or break the experience.

We had a great time at Whiski! Friendly and helpful staff, good food, and fun music. I do wish the music started at 9pm instead of 10pm.

Local live music is very nice.

Nous nous sommes rendus dans ce bar suite aux bons avis trouvés sur internet, mais nous avons été déçus par le service. Le personnel n'était pas très chaleureux, ni souriant. De plus le rapport qualité prix n'était pas du tout au rendez-vous en ce qui concerne la nourriture. En revanche, il y a un super choix de bières et de whiskys et la déco est vraiment top. Je recommande pour boire un verre et profiter d'un joli pub mais pas pour un dîner.

Overall experience is very good with friendly staffs, the only thing that made me rated 4 stars is the speed of serving foods. You need a lil patient while waiting for the foods because it’s is worthy. ☺️

First night in Edinburgh and looking for somewhere to eat amongst the plethora of restaurants, bars and pubs. Found this little gem just a short walk away from our hotel.
Decent menu - for food and whisky - and the dishes my wife and I had were very tasty. There was a slight delay to proceedings, but the host dealt with it impeccably and proved good customer service does exist. Our first taste of Cullen Skink and it was so good we went back on the last day to sample it again.
Finished off with a couple of whiskies from their menu (ask for the separate whisky menu), but they also have a good whisky flight selection for those that want to be educated while they drink.
A definite recommendation if you are in Edinburgh.

Classico pub scozzese in cui provare piatti tipici e una location adatta a passare una serata divertente, grazie alle persone e al live music. Salsicce davvero buone, come le verdure che accompagnano i piatti. Birre molto buone.

Traditional Scottish pub with nice cosy atmosphere. They also have live music every night. Service was good and attentive. They have a wide variety of drinks. We tried a couple of whisky brands that we really enjoyed. You can choose from spicy, fruity, sweet, smoky, the variety is huge. I just loved the Dalwhinnie, 15yo. They also do whisky flights where you can try a few brands. The food was good was well. We came for brunch and had the Scottish breakfast. Unfortunately, they don't do substitutes, so I had to order the vegetarian version as I'm not a big fan of haggis. However, I ended up enjoying the vegetarian version very much. Everything was delicious and freshly made.

Small cool bar. Passionate about food and drink. We loved it! Haggis was delicious and the cider was cold. Wonderful

Lovely place and worth a visit. Doesn’t take cash though. A bit silly for a pub on the main tourist street of Edinburgh where 90% of people will only have cash! Would have appreciated a sign outside, but otherwise amazing place! Worth a visit

Wir waren hier an einem Montagabend im März essen, also außerhalb der Touristensaison, und es war dennoch sehr voll - wir bekamen gerade noch so einen freien Tisch.
In der Hochsaison sollte man wohl reservieren.
Obwohl es so voll war, wurden wir schnell, sehr freundlich und aufmerksam bedient.
Auch unser Essen bekamen wir sehr schnell.
Unsere Empfehlung ist, den Cider aus dem Whiskyfass zu probieren, der schmeckte uns sehr gut!
Auch das Essen war reichhaltig und lecker.

Service de qualité, cuisine de qualité et super ambiance avec ce choix enorme de whisky, l’adresse parfaite pour un repas réussi.
Seul bémol je n’ai vraiment pas aimé ma coupe de glace en dessert

Nice bar, seems to get busy around 7-8pm. Fish soup was good just as the salmon. Spent about 30£ for those 2 plates, 2 halfs of beer and a whiskey

Délicieux gastro-pub

Excellente établissement sur High Street, la cuisine est bonne et généreuse (ils servent les meilleures frites de Écosse!!), le service rapide et très sympa. Le soir scottish music et large choix de whisky à découvrir.
