Absolut empfehlenswertes Hotel mitten in einem Wohngebiet in Hollywood. Der englische Charme der kleinen Wohnhäuser, die um einen Innenhof drapiert sind, ist bezaubernd und man vergisst schnell, dass man sich im Herzen einer Großstadt befindet. Der geschichtliche Hintergrund (Wohnhaus von Charlie Chaplin inkl. Gästehäuser für Hollywood-Größen wie Marylin Monroe und Co.) machen Aufenthalt und Atmosphäre noch interessanter. Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit, selbst als wir nachts um 00:30 Uhr noch eine Frage hatten, bekamen wir direkt per WhatsApp schnelle Hilfe. Die Bungalows sind sauber und wunderschön eingerichtet, sodass man sich wirklich zuhause fühlen kann. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

O lugar é uma graça. O bangalô é extremamente bem equipado com máquina de lavar e secar roupas, lava-louças, cafeteira, micro-ondas, fogão, torradeira, etc..
Ficamos hospedados 6 dias e não nos faltou nada. O bangalô é super espaçoso e faz você se sentir em casa. Seguindo os conselhos de avaliações online, deixamos o carro estacionado na rua todas as noites e foi super fácil achar vaga - sem necessidade de pagar estacionamento.
Na rua também sempre tem patinetes para serem alugados e utilizados pela cidade com pagamento via QR code.
Localização ótimo, perto.de restaurantes, lojas e principais pontos turísticos.
Recepcionistas educadas e pacientes que nos deram até sugestões de locais para almoço e café da manhã.

Staff was unfriendly, vindictive and unprofessional in their manner. It really destroyed our experience dealing with the two managers there, super rude and unfriendly. We’ve stayed other places in LA and we’re trying this one out, there’s other places with friendly management all around. Also hidden pet fee of 250 dollars.

As other reviews have detailed, the two women who work at the check in are absolutely awful, they also charge a non-refundable pet deposit of 250 which is mentioned nowhere on Booking .com, and as another guest mentioned, even if you tell them ahead of time they’ll only notify you at check in. We were originally given a very run down room next to the road (completely does not look like photos) and a loud buzzing gate. We asked if there were other rooms, and were given a “free” upgrade (that we never asked for and would have paid for it, but gratefully accepted). When we went to check out, my fiancé was scolded for supposedly parking incorrectly. This was not only untrue, but no one called or left a note underneath our door, if they did, we most certainly would have done whatever was asked of us. No missed calls and never have had an issue with a hotel unable to get ahold of us. When my fiancé stood up for herself after being unfairly scolded, the front desk very rudely said “Well I hope you liked your free upgrade.” When I confronted her for how she spoke to my fiancé, she played dumb. Back to Hotel SVB 850 or The Prospect Hotel for us, where hospitality exists and the rooms are much nicer, I highly recommend them both to avoid interacting with these women who repeatedly treat their hotel guests with disdain, rudeness and complete hostility, lacking any hospitality skills whatsoever. So trashy!

Quaint boutique hotel. Room was lovely. Clean, nice bathroom, comfortable beds and sofa.
Kitchen area was adequate, minimally stocked but enough to cook a meal. Sun deck was lovely both in the morning sunrise and also at sunset. Gardens and outdoor fireplace was lovely for a quiet evening. No restaurants on site but a stones throw to Santa Monica Bvld/Melrose for options. A little oasis in the middle of LA !

우리는 7시에 체크인 하겠다고 메일을 보내고 7시전에 도착했는데 문이 닫혀있어서 문에 달려있는 고리로 노크했는데 문을 두드렸다고 직원이 불쾌한 표정을 지으며 매우 불친절했다. 호텔직원의 자세가 되어있지 않았고 그것에 대해서 항의하자 손님에게 욕도 했다 있을수없는 행동이라고 생각한다. 우리는 그날밤 다른 호텔로 갔다.
친절하고 좋은 호텔은 얼마든지 많이 있다. 엘리베이터가 없어 짐을 옮기기 불편함에도 아늑한 분위기. 위치 등이 좋아서 여기 세번째 방문이었는데 이번 직원의 행동으로 이것이 마지막이 되었다. 자신이 무엇을 잘못했는지 인지 하지 못하고 손님의 편의를 제공하지 못하는 사람은 호텔 직원의 자격이 없다고 생각한다

The hotel is great. Stylish rooms, relaxing yard,
attentive and responsive personnel.
Located in a good area.
You can easily find an on street parking place if you don't want to pay 42$ per night for parking on the private parking.
We were checking in late, so the office was already closed.
Managers did their best to provide smooth remote check in. Just credit card confirmation process was a bit annoying because one of my cards was not accepted, but besides this the process was rather good.

Management, please do yourselves a favor and have clear policy that does not change every second. I booked The Charlie coming from out of town, to instantly get a text saying "check-ins after 5PM must be accommodated in advance, please call". So i call for the receptionist lady, who is also apparently also a manager who rudely says that i have to CANCEL MY RESERVATION BECAUSE THEY CANT ACCOMODATE FOR CHECK-INS POST 5PM? Apparently a refund was provided but they send an email that says any cancelations (which was done on their behalf) made before 24 hours is subject to a fine? You guys are a joke.

i was completely stupefied. Plenty of people cant check in right on time, and to auto cancel bc they cant accomodate? How does this even make sense in hospitality industry. Management, do yourselves a favor and hire appropriately an evening manager for your customers and not skimp on labor. You guys are an absolute joke to then call me back 5 times for what reason? I hardly write reviews, but they need to do a better job not randomly canceling reservations on their prospective customers.

What an awesome place! Very conveniently located next to excellent food. Loved that they had parking and allowed me to plug in my car. The rooms are so classically LA yet with an English cottage feel as well.

Oasis! We stayed in the Oscar and were in love with the accommodations. You get the best of both worlds by being in a great location close to the action but feel completely secluded when at the hotel. My favorite park was the window overlooking the courtyard with the the fountain. Highly recommend!
