We stayed here for about a week last summer. It's a gorgeous property with very nice rooms. The rooms are lavishly decorated and equipped with air conditioning, if you need it. Each room comes with a balcony/terrace. Rooms on the first/second floor (the floor above ground level, it depends where you're from) have access to a much larger terrace which was a welcome surprise.

The elevator is quite small, but it's a historic building so it was expected.

Staff are very polite and were keen to offer directions or recommendations, and readily provided free transit passes for tourists from the city.
The location is great as it's just a few minutes from a metro stop, which makes the rest of the city very accessible as well, thanks to Lausanne's excellent public transit system.

Overall, an excellent hotel to spend a romantic escape for two, in one of Europe's finest cities.

We had a wonderful stay at this nice hotel. The situation is perfect (10 minutes from the station, 10 minutes from Ouchy) and we loved this boutique hotel which kept the charme of a classic hotel. We wish to express our thanks to Laetitia at the reception who was very friendly and allowed us to change the date of our stay. We will surely come back!

J avais lu des avis plutôt défavorables ici et sur booking ce qui m’avait réellement fait douter d y prendre une chambre.
Au final, j ai été très satisfait.
J ai eu une chambre exécutive ( j’ai été upgradé du à mon statut sur booking ) , très belle déco, surface assez spacieuse, petit balcon. Pour un séjour romantique ça doit être très sympa !
Cafe et théière à disposition.
Literie ok, dommage qu il n y ait pas différents choix d oreillers.
Pas de smart TV , ça aussi c est dommage car j aurais aimé diffuse du contenu depuis mon ordi.
Parking à disposition très pratique, mais cher ! 20 CHF. Le métro est au pied de l hôtel et une carte de circulation gratuite est fournie à l’arrivée !
Calme.
Pour ma part J ai été satisfait.

Superb location but the room was old and smelled of smoke therefore it used to be a smoker room and the linen wallpaper still bear the smell. The walls are a bit thin so I could hear my roomneigbor having a good time and the bed was banging at my wall…

Very good hotel for the price. Breakfast is worth it.
Service is on point, very nice and competent personnel. Location is also very good just two metro stations away from the lake side as well as two for the central station.
Has a romantic touch to it regarding decoration and the nice bathtub. Just maybe a bit spacious.

The room was so tiny, the morning staff was impolite and definitely not for a 4 star hotel (I think that it was a trainee regarding the way of talking)

Nice small hotel.
Provided breakfast options (small and big) that you can pay if your room is excluded breakfast.

Room is nice, spacious. But, I feel the lighting is a bit too dark.
Found a bug on top of my kettle when I am back and wanting to make myself a cup of hot tea.

I mentioned about this during my checkout. They mentioned it is normal and not a harmful bug. Well, I am not the expert but hopefully they desinfect the room regularly.

je suis aller à Lausanne pour m'évader de Paris ..
L'hôtel est bien placé mais le standing laisse à désirer
j'ai dû changer 3 fois de chambre, salle de bain pas en état, pas de chauffage etc .. pour le prix c'est vraiment pas ça
très déçu
le petit déjeuner est insignifiant, il m'a été offert par compensation mais ça ne suffit pas

je leur souhaite de faire un gros effort sur tout ça, sans animosité
bien sur
suis je tombé la mauvaise journée ? ..

I stayed here last week. I honestly can't understand how such a beautiful, little hotel doesn't get 5/5 stars. Perfect location, clean and quiet rooms, excellent staff. The room was small but not cramped, and it had a patio. The style of the room -- particularly with the nightstands built into the wall -- was unique and really enjoyable. When it was time to check out on a Sunday, it was really convenient to sort of roll out of bed and take the adjacent metro to the train station in less than 10 minutes.

Je me croyais dans un film . Superbe belle suite. Personnel très attentionné. Nous avions des problèmes de connexion de Téléphone et plus de GPS. Les hôtesses d'accueil ont très bien nous dépanner en faisant elles-mêmes les manipulations afin de résoudre notre problème. Nous les remercions. Petit déjeuner comme nous les aimons.

Restaurant avec une terrasse très sympa. Par contre les parasols digne d'un film d'horreur sont perturbant et d'une hygiène douteuse .
Carte des vins très fournie mais seulement 2 désirés bas de gamme.
Salade verte a 11fr. ou un oiseau ne trouverait pas son repas.
Cote de bœuf a 60fr. avec 30 fr. de nerf et 30 fr. de semelle.
Très décevant pour un hôtel Carlton qui se transforme en hôtel Ibis.
Nous n'y retournerons pas malgré le café offert suite a nos remarques.

Accueil chaleureux. Le cadre est très beau. La petite salade est délicieuse. La cuisson du filet de loup de mer très bien. Pour moi, un peu plus de sauce et d'épices ne m'auraient pas dérangé.
Le pain pas extraordinaire. Glace/sorbet OK. Le vin blanc au verre bien, 2 possibilités de choix et très appréciable Suisse

Le restaurant est agréable , mais nous avons attendu très longtemps pour être servis et la nourriture n’était pas chaude. Dommage car le plat du jour était excellent.
