Wonderful experience! They picked us up directly from our hotel and we drove about an hour or so to the spot they thought best for the conditions. There was some cloud cover at first, but we saw some beautiful lights! After a bit it cleared up but the lights were gone. We stuck around a bit and had some hot chocolate and the lights appears again, this time dancing across the sky!!!! They took as many photos as you wanted with their camera (sent via email the following day) and walked you through settings to capture them correctly on your phone!

Be aware that you see mostly green and lights to the naked eye, but on the cameras, even your phone's camera with the right settings, they are full of colors!

We spent well over an hour viewing the lights until they disappeared again and even got to see a few Icelandic horses! It was great to be able to warm up in the vehicle as needed too! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time with our tour group. Our driver/guide, Viking, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We got really lucky and saw the northern lights our first time out, and they are as beautiful as imagined. Thank you!

If you’re debating whether to see it yourself, or via a big bus tour or small tour; personally I would recommend going via a small tour - like Happy World. You’re coming all the way to Iceland; you may as well giving the NL hunting your best shot, right?!

P.S. On one of the days I was Reykjavík, I went to the Tourist Information store. I mentioned to the lady behind the counter that I had a NL tour booked with Happy World, and she said that they’re ONE OF THE BEST TOUR OPERATORS IN TOWN.

WORTH IT. Such a fun and adventurous northern light hunting and stargazing. The drivers/northern light hunters knows what they’re doing and with such entertainment as well. They have their camera ready and will take awesome photos of you with the northern lights. Great hot chocolate as well. I would love to book with them again and will probably be the only company I’d book with! Pick up and drop off was easy too! Fun, adventurous, and super friendly staff ???? We had a great time and our hosts were fun and engaging! We got to learn about what creates the lights and how to spot them and they did the work of taking photos for us. We were nervous because it showed a 3 but learned that that doesn't equate to intensity. Great trip with easy pickup!

This is the ONLY Northern Lights tour to do in Reykjavík - do not fall for the tourist trap boats/buses! Our host Ástþór (I hope this is spelt correctly) was amazing! He knows everything there is to know about finding/seeing Auroras and even when the sky looked empty we had a great time chatting and looking through the telescope. Then… the most incredible dancing display of the lights so visible to the naked eye. Bright greens, reds and even blues which our guide told us was extremely rare. I can’t wait to see the photos - from what we could see they looked way better than anything we could take ourselves. Thank you so much!

Absolutely fantastic experience. Expect to go off road to find the best location to see the lights. We went on 29dec22, and got one of the best shows you could imagine. Even getting stuck in the snow enhanced the experience. Thanks for the best show on earth

We had a great time on our northern lights and stargazing tour. It was a highlight of our trip to Iceland. Our guide, Þröstur, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. He kept us informed and entertained and we visited several incredible locations during our search for northern lights, listened to some ghost stories and enjoyed some icelandic hot chocolate too! I hope to go on another tour with Happyworld in the future!
