Nature: awesome, service: awful!
Never waste ur money comparing other camp sites of Quebec.
We planned to go somewhere in the middle of the nature to chill and rest our mind. We saw the pictures of tree-houses and said let’s try it.
First of all we found it odd to forced to book the place for two nights at minimum!
Then we find out the reason????!
We arrived at Friday evening and the reception explained everything thing and gave us a package which included battery and a gas capsule for oven or barbecue!
They told that the toilet is dry!
After 20 minutes of walk we arrived the tree-houses!
We needed toilet! What we saw was a dry toilet (as it was mentioned) with a disgusting ???? smell! No hygiene gel for hands no toilet paper nothing!
So every time we needed a bathroom we walked 20 minutes to reach the reception building????! I explained the case to the receptionist the day after she told I put lime in the dry toilets!????????????
That is just the start of the story. The battery they gave us worked only 4 hours! And we left with no electricity the whole night and a day after! I told that to the manager and she said probably because your phone was on off-line mode when it was on the charge and then you switch the mode! She didn't know that being in the park we already had no sugnals so there was no need for beeing off-line since we were offline naturally!
I did not catch the cause and effect relationship she described by the way????
The gas capsule was damaged as well so we had hard time doing the barbecue.
Most of the trails were closed in the national park so the experience with park was not also pleasent! It was great if we knew that in advance before reservation but no one let us know about that and when we asked from reception about this situation there was just got one answer: it’s non of our business! ????
It is impossible to sleep on the treehouses beds and do not have backache in the morning.
So you if you want to explore the treehouses bring your standards very low as the owner told us and be ready to pay .... for a nightmare which its second night is mandatory upon the decesion of the owner! Which is equal the price of a nice and convenient chalet in the area!
Great hiking trail with a breathtaking view and the water is clean and clear. The lake is non motorized boats. But pets are allowed as long as they remain on a leash at all times.
Each treehouse had its own unique look and feel with a porch underneath.
