Amazing breakfast, well structured and trained front desk staff. Perfect location next to the station, very easy to park your car at any park houses around.

Again - a big shout out for the breakfast! Like in a backery ????

Whilst I found the hotel itself and the staff to be generally very good, I encountered a serious and disturbing issue during my stay that cannot be overlooked.

The property has an external courtyard area, which is adjacent to a new development currently under construction. Construction work began at 8:00 AM each morning and was extremely loud from our rear elevation room. We were not informed of any nearby construction prior to arrival, which would have been important to know.

However, the most alarming part of my stay occurred one morning while I was sitting in the courtyard. A section of metal reinforcement bar fell from a significant height from the construction site, missing my head by just centimetres. Whilst not injured the incident left me shaken. This was an extremely dangerous incident that could have resulted in serious injury or worse.

I reported the matter immediately to hotel staff, who apologised and stated they would contact the site manager. While the incident was acknowledged and the danger accepted by the hotel, I was disappointed by the overall response. Aside from an apology, no real action or follow-up was taken by the hotel beyond referring me to the construction team. The construction manager did eventually email and apologise for the incident and noise during my stay.

Crucially, there were no visible safety barriers between the site and the courtyard, and the area remained open to guests, which I believe is a serious health and safety oversight. The hotel seemed to place the responsibility solely on the construction site, when in fact they have a duty of care to protect their guests. They should have restricted access to the courtyard to protect guests from this kind of incident.

If the courtyard remains accessible to residents during this ongoing construction, I would strongly recommend avoiding it for your own safety until the hotel takes more proactive responsibility for guest safety. Also, there was construction noise heard in the bedroom from 8am and I was not advised of works prior to arrival.

Based on the above I did expect a little more than an apology.

Wonderful: the staff were fantastic-engaging, friendly, lovely people; it's in a great location, right by the station/transport, with plenty (shops, restaurants, etc.) around, and a very short walk to the historic centre; rooms are great-clean and well appointed; breakfast was excellent-hot (eggs, sausage), continental, fruits/cerials, plus plenty of delicious home made cakes; it's got a lovely bar (Anisia was brilliant). An all round great vibe, and honestly one of my favourite hotels. If you're going to Strasbourg, look no further.

Harika bir konaklama ve konumdu. Otel ve odalar tertemiz ve konumu tam garın karşısı. Şehirde 4 gün kaldık ve herhangi bir noktaya toplu taşıma kullanmadık. Tarihi ve merkezi yerlerin hepsi otelin arkasında. Şahane bir kahvaltı, muazzam bir ilgi. 5 yaşındaki oğlumuzla kaldık. Sadece odalarda mini bar yok fakat lobideki soğuk su bu sıcak günleri kotardı. Bir kez daha konaklamak dileğiyle…

Literally the best hotel I've stayed at in France. Everything is so considerate and lovely, reading about the many efforts they put into being eco friendly is just incredible

Cold, Uncompromising, and Money-Driven

Booked during high season, but due to unexpected events, I couldn’t travel. I reached out immediately, asking to rebook or at least waive the cancellation fees—or just not charge for meals we wouldn’t eat.

Their response? A flat no. No flexibility, no empathy. Even with a week's notice, they insisted on keeping every cent—including payment for untouched breakfasts.

Their message was clear: "We want your money, not your story."

If you value compassion or basic decency, look elsewhere.

Dusche für große Männer etwas eng, sehr gute Lage für Trip von 4 Tagen mit 7j. Kind. Klimaanlage stark verstaubt. Zimmer sonst sehr sauber. Einrichtung neuwertig, wenn auch ziemlich nüchtern. Frühstück deutlich besser als Durchschnitt in Frankreich. 2 min entfernt war ein guter Bäcker mit gutem Frühstücksangebot. Das wäre deutlich günstiger gewesen.

Et un petit déjeuner à tomber !!! Rare de trouver un tel choix de gâteaux faits maison aussi goûteux et surprenants.

Le petit déjeuner bio est exceptionnel. Emplacement idéal près de la gare pour déposer les valises. Très propre. Bel accueil. La location de vélo est un plus

Fantastic hotel. We booked Hotel Tandum based on other reviews and it exceeded our expectations.
The hotel is perfectly located, walking distance to all of the attractions in Strasbourg. We felt very safe in the area, unlike other hotels near train stations in Europe.
We had a vehicle and parking was easy and a discount is offered to hotel guests for a parkade nearby.
The hotel is very clean and current, the rooms are comfortable with all the necessary amenities.
A big highlight is the water refill station on the main floor and reusable glass water bottle for the room.
Breakfast is stunning. We were kept company with two rescue birds that happily chirp away - nice touch :)
We didn’t have time to take advantage of the bikes to rent but that’s also a great amenity in such a bike-worthy city.
Saving the best for last- the service. Wow! Every single person working in Hotel Tandum were so incredibly friendly! From check in, to cleaning service to breakfast, we were truly impressed by how professional everyone was. It really felt like they enjoyed working at the hotel and there was pride in what they were delivering. Kudos.

Die Zimmer: geschmackvoll, modern, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Bäder teilweise recht klein - was aber nicht unüblich ist.
Die Atmosphäre: Entspannt, kreativ, locker - für uns ein wohlfühlort
Das absolute HIGHLIGHT: das Frühstück. Selten so eine große Auswahl erlebt. Alles frisch und selbst zubereitet. Jeden Tag andere Angebote.
In Summe: wir würden jederzeit wieder hier hin!

Hôtel très bien placé. Chambre petite mais confortable. Le petit déjeuner est varié, leurs pains sont excellents. Personnel très sympathique et aux petits soins.

Quel havre de paix situé au cœur de Strasbourg . La déco est tres élégante comme le personnel. Un accueil chaleureux et professionnel à la fois qui se marie bien avec la promesse de faire une cuisine maison et bio , un régal ! Mention spéciale pour l’incroyable brunch au son des perruches ! Un bonheur après un me nuit passée dans une belle chambre au calme . Merci pour tout.

Wonderful stay at this hotel. SO many delightful sweet treats at breakfast we felt truly spoilt. Lovely design to the place and we had a little balcony which was incredibly cute.staff very friendly.

Séjour entre amies au Tandem. La chambre spacieuse et irréprochable . La terrasse pour boire un verre avec un service irréprochable. La prestation du petit déjeuner est parfaitement en accord avec les 4 étoiles de cet hôtel. Le service et l’accueil sont chaleureux. Je reviendrai certainement tant pour la proximité de la gare et du centre ville que pour le rapport qualité prix de cet hôtel à l’esprit eco responsable . Je vous recommanderai . Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt im Hotel Tandem! Die Lage ist einfach perfekt – direkt am Bahnhof und nur wenige Gehminuten von der Altstadt, tollen Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten entfernt. Das Hotel ist modern, stilvoll eingerichtet und gleichzeitig sehr gemütlich.

Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Unser Zimmer war ruhig, das Bett sehr bequem, und wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Auch das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen – frisch, abwechslungsreich und qualitativ hochwertig mit Vogelgezwitscher der zwei Wellensittiche.

Zudem kann man sich ganztägig kostenfrei Wasser abfüllen im Speisesaal.

Ein weiterer Pluspunkt: Gäste können im nahegelegenen Parkhaus mit einem kleinen Rabatt parken.

Klare Empfehlung für alle, die Straßburg entspannt und komfortabel erleben möchten! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Excellent location right across from train station but still quiet. Very helpful and kind staff, room was comfortable, and breakfast was incredible.

Hotel Tandem is at good location. There are 2 to 3 mins walk to the station. Some rooms are faced to train station. A Carrefour supermarket near the hotel. Some restaurants around the hotel.

Hotel très bien placé grâce à la gare à quelques foulées et plusieurs parkings à proximité.
La chambre (pour 2 personnes) est d’une taille suffisante, la salle de bain un poil petite mais là encore suffisante, nous payons un hotel, pas un gite.
L’hotel est tres propre, tres calme meme un samedi en fin de soirée, et agréable (mention pour la terrasse dont nous avons profité un maximum le soir).
Le petit déjeuner est très varié, bio, en circuit court, majoritairement fait maison et excellent.
Nous terminons cet avis par le personnel, charmant, souriant et avec un sens aiguë du service client.

Nous avons pour habitude de changer d’hotel à chaque visite dans une ville mais pour Strasbourg, nous ne descendrons qu’à l’hotel tandem. Parmi les nombreux hotels dans lesquels nous avons séjourné en France, c’est de loin celui qui nous a donné le plus de satisfaction. A bientot

Die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Das Beleuchtungskonzept im Zimmer sollte überdacht werden. Entweder zu helles Licht oder dann zu schummrig.
Der Innenhof ist zwar nett gedacht, für die Zimmer oberhalb besteht dann jedoch nicht die Möglichkeit, die Fenster in der Nacht offen zu lassen wegen Lärm- und Zigarettenrauch-Emissionen.
Frühstück ein Traum für Schleckmäuler. Unzählige süsse Kuchenvariationen. Für diejenige, die lieber salzige und gesunde Sachen essen, hat es nicht so eine grosse Auswahl.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel avec mon mari. Globalement, notre séjour a été agréable, notamment grâce au confort de la chambre et au petit déjeuner qui était varié et de très bonne qualité.

Cependant, nous avons rencontré quelques désagréments. Lors du petit déjeuner, le personnel semblait débordé et mal organisé : après nous avoir installés à une table, celle-ci a été attribuée à un autre couple pendant que nous nous servions au buffet. Cela a créé un moment de confusion peu agréable. De plus, notre carte de chambre a été désactivée avant l’heure officielle du checkout, ce qui nous a empêché de retourner directement dans notre chambre en remontant du petit déjeuner. Un désagrément de plus pour un hôtel 4 étoiles.

Dommage pour ces détails, car l’hôtel a du potentiel.

Don't stay here. The offerings online are so misleading. They state "arcade", of course I didn't expect a full arcade, but I expected maybe a single pinball machine or Fussball...nope. uno cards. That was okay, we can love some Uno cards. But then the all night construction, the blinding lights at night from a crane outside our 4th floor window, but needing to keep windows open cause AC is non-existant... in addition, there is one single man working in the entire hotel. I asked for a wine opener, and he said he can't give it to me cause there is only one. I asked for dog bowls, he couldn't bring them because he was alone...but also couldn't just give them to me?
There is a phone in the room, and at one point i wanted to call the front desk...but the phone seems to be just a landline. No "reception" access. Just an old school phone line...is tha the arcade?!
It was a lovely looking hotel, and the only man working there was very sweet...but I would not recommend, nor stay here again.

This hotel was honestly amazing, showed up a little before check-in and they let us into our room which had a beautiful view of Gare de Strasbourg and the plaza, which means there’s tons of Ubers and taxi’s if you need to get anywhere.

It was only about a 10-15 minute walk before you get into the ‘city center’ and the town is super walkable.

We had brought a bottle of wine back to our room and asked for Glasses from the bar, and they even offered to chill our wine for us! It felt like they actually cared about us having a good time (even if we didn’t purchase a drink from their bar).

Us being English speakers didn’t stop us from being able to communicate with anyone, and all the staff is super friendly. Parking if you do have a rental car is right down the street and relatively inexpensive as well. I would absolutely come back here if we make our way to Strasbourg.

Stayed 2 nights at Hotel Tandem. So close to train station, 5 minute walk. Was greeted wonderfully by Anna when we arrived. We were early so checked bags in at front office and headed out to explore. Stayed in the 5th floor with view of the train station and courtyard. The room was nice and big and clean with a great shower. They offer an excellent buffet with a great selection. Close to city centre for exploring. Highly recommend.

Bossant dans l’hôtellerie j’ai été agréablement surprise par cet établissement. Nous avons passé une nuit avant de prendre le train le lendemain et ce séjour éclair a été des plus charmants. Un accueil tres sympathique malgré l’heure tardive, chambre et salle de bain propres et sans aucune trace de poussière. Insonorisation plus que correcte pour un centre ville. L’eau à disposition en libre service (gazeuse ou plate) à la réception est vraiment un plus. Et le meilleur pour la fin : Le petit-déjeuner !!! Les produits sont frais / locaux et maisons pour la plupart. Il y a un choix immense et tout est délicieux ! Un des meilleurs petits déjeuners d’hôtel que j’ai vu alors que j’ai la chance d’avoir pu en faire beaucoup ! Largement digne d’un 5 étoiles et bien meilleur que certains d’entres eux. Vous pouvez être fiers.

Um erst die positiven Aspekte zu nennen:
Die Mitarbeiter*innen waren sehr freundlich und man findet ein durchgängiges Konzept und eine schöne Einrichtung vor.
Allerdings war das Zimmer dunkel und eng.
Und das Frühstück war zum einen sehr chaotisch, da es auch im Frühstücksraum eng ist und die Wegeführung schlecht durchdacht.
Zum anderen war die Auswahl an frischen und gesunden Alternativen zu viel Gebäck und anderem Süßzeug eher dürftig.
Insgesamt stimmt für mich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hier überhaupt nicht, weder beim Zimmer, noch beim Frühstück.

Εξαιρετικό ξενοδοχείο, υπεροχής αισθητικής χώροι που προσφέρουν άνεση και ηρεμία, τέλειος φωτισμός, κομψά δωμάτια, διακριτικότητα και ευγένεια από το προσωπικό και ένα από τα πιο φανταστικά πρωινά που έχω δοκιμάσει ποτέ!!

Nice hotel located 1 minute walking distance from the train station and also very close to the city centre with amazing staff. Special mention for Nicola (the receptionist wich received us at our arrival and recommended us what to do and restaurants for eat). Without and doubt, I reccommend this hotel!
