Auberge de jeunesse proposant des chambres privatives et des dortoirs à Budapest.

Une grande auberge de jeunesse sur 5 étages détenue par un grand groupe. L’accueil n’y est pas aussi chaleureux que dans une auberge indépendante, mais il reste correct et le bâtiment centenaire a gardé sa façade d’origine. Outre sa cinquantaine de chambres privatives, l’auberge comporte 5 dortoirs lumineux (un par étage) de 12 lits superposés séparés par box de 2 avec également la possibilité de dormir en dortoir féminin exclusivement. Laverie automatique (payante), coin cuisine, armoires fermant à clé, bar en sous-sol qui sert aussi de salle de petit déjeuner.

We had a great experience staying at this hostel. It was very rare to be greeted by a friendly face in Budapest, but the young lady at this hostel's reception truly made us feel welcome. Thank you so much for welcoming us, taking an interest in our country and for sharing insights about your country. I liked that the dorms had curtains and there were 2 toilets and two showers inside the door. The lockers had ample space. The garden area was big and so was the kitchen and dining area. Note that the kitchen doesn't have a stove though. Thank you to the receptionist and the maintenance attendant who were kind enough to organize a laptop charger for me when I couldn't find an adapter since the stores were closed for the holidays. It was a very kind gesture and I'm truly grateful. Thank you for making provision for a clothes drying rack as well. I will definitely stay here again when in Budapest, the hospitality was truly amazing and heartwarming. Thank you.

Pros:
+ Very good location!!! A lot of nice restaurants and street food stalls are nearby
+ Very spacious even in 12-bed room, with a big locker
+ with hot water in shower rooms
+ the cleaner is very nice. She noticed me put a lot of clothes on top of my blanket when she cleaned the room in the morning. She gave a one more blanket.
+ one charger plug by bedside

Cons:
- I felt itchy when I slept. I felt the blanket was not that clean and too thin
- no hook in shower room
- no stove in kitchen. Only 2 microwaves.
- boiling kettles are not clean. Dare not to use

Ho soggiornato un paio di notti in una camera privata, per quanto spartana era pulitissima e non mancava nulla! Anche nel resto della struttura ho notato una pulizia impeccabile! Sono stato molto molto soddisfatto dei ragazzi alla reception che hanno risposto a tutte le mie domande e risolto tutti i miei problemi con gentilezza e professionalità, molti complimenti allo staff!
