Al Tuguri ne figure pas seulement parmi les bonnes tables d'Alghero, c'est probablement l'une des meilleures tables de Sardaigne. Le chef, Benito Carbonella, natif de Nuoro, propose une cuisine catalane raffinée et originale, alliant épices, parfums, herbes aromatiques et produits de la mer. L’établissement, ouvert en 1973, se compose de deux petites salles au décor rustique et intimes. Nous vous conseillons le menu dégustation de la mer, une véritable merveille. Les prix ne sont pas excessifs pour un restaurant d’une telle tenue.

Gli antipasti erano vari e studiati con abbinamenti a frutta e verdura di stagione, freschi e abbinati benissimo. I primi, tra cui le caramelle ripiene di zucca, squisitissimi.
La casa ci ha offerto caffè e digestivo. Prezzo giustissimo per i piatti proposti, servizio buonissimo. Il personale è attento e cortese, mai invadente. Una garanzia. Torneremo!!!!
The service was personal and friendly, knowledgeable, but still felt a little too "professional" and distant. They adapted to us, it felt, and gave us the explanations for the dishes without being too encroaching. They answered our questions knowledgefully but it felt slightly inconsistent. We had 3 different waiters, all with their own styles. It would have been nice to have just one throughout the night. After making a remark about the saltiness of a certain component, all of a sudden we got a very in-depth explanation of the next dish, which we didn't receive for the previous ones. By the end of the night, this was gone again.
The food was tasty. Local, fresh produce. Where can you go wrong? We were happy with what we payed, and what we got. It just felt like every dish could have used a tiny extra bit of thought and care. One more person tasing it, tweaking it slightly. The highlight of the meal was the varied appetizer platters.
