Ok so here’s the deal. If you want to taste an incredible pizza go here. If however you want to feel relaxed whilst doing so, do not go here unless you are up for experiencing hostility and literally being prodded and pushed.

On entering at the opening time I walked in through the open door and politely asked if they were open. Several staff were there and they all just stared at me and my wife. Not a great welcome. I asked 3 times and was eventually and quite bluntly told to walk in. It was quite clear they didn’t really want non locals in.

You then get a thin piece of paper with menu items on and a biro. Joining the dots we put a mark next to what we wanted.

One of the waiters then came over and spoke loudly in my ear whilst simultaneously jabbing me hard in my ribs. My jumper was on the chair next to me and he wanted it moved so he could squeeze two more people in next to us with a 6 inch gap. (it was originally two tables joined together so no big deal leaving my jumper on the chair as we didn’t expect anyone to sit next to us ). This didn’t warrant physical contact or being shouted at. Bit out of order tbh and normally I would’ve said something or reacted but as it was our 30th wedding anniversary it kind of added to the bank of memories and made it mildly amusing.

All said and done the food was incredible. The atmosphere hostile, the vibe more than rough and rustic and just what you want for an authentic experience of local dining and a story you’ll tell your grandkids. Don’t come here if you want a warm, friendly vibe. Do come here for the food.

Amazing authentic pizzeria. Pizza was incredible and very reasonably priced. The restaurant is quite busy and chaotic, but very much in style with a traditional, old fashioned pizzeria.
A must-visit when in Rome!

Bon accueil avec une bonne organisation pour l’attente et placement de tables. Il faut cocher ce que l’on veut sur un papier ou des cartes multilangues sont à disposition.
Le week il y a plus de monde, mais l’organisation????
La pizza est bonne, bruschette, jambon mozza (pas la meilleure mais ça va).
Je conseille d’y aller au moins une fois pour manger des pizzas et pour l’ambiance.

Waited 30 mins outside in the queue, another 30 mins inside till the pizza arrived, but no complains.
Tasty and crunchy pizza, just what we were looking for. Lots of people waiting outside and everyhing is kinda chaos, but it’s worth it!

Pizzeria Remo fa la migliore pizza ???? di tutta Roma. Sottile e scrocchiarella. Buoni i fritti, ottimo il tiramisù. I ragazzi sono super simpatici. Forza Roma!

Pizzeria storica nella zona di testaccio, prima di tutto voglio se si viene qui non bisogna avere fretta, infatti già dalle ore 19.00 quindi all apertura questa storica pizzeria e letteralmente presa d'assalto sia da turisti che da residenti, cosa importante non accettano prenotazioni. Veniamo alle pizze, classiche in stile romano basse, veraci, qui non bisogna aspettarsi la perfezione infatti qui si sfornano oltre 800 pizze a serata. Il compromesso tra tradizione e qualità dell impasto c'è anche le materie prime non sono poi male quindi da provare.

Ottima pizza classica romana sulla piazza principale di Testaccio, eccellente rapporto qualità/prezzo, servizio molto informale ma allo stesso tempo cortese e efficiente. Prevedete qualche tempo di attesa per avere un tavolo soprattutto nei fine settimana perchè è molto affollata.

I can't comment on the food, as I was served so poorly that I left. Firstly, we were greeted at the door and we chose to eat outside, we went to sit down and one of the employees started yelling that we couldn't sit at the table. then he indicated the table and stupidly threw a pen and paper on the table and didn't offer us the menu. We decided to go out and eat somewhere else.

A real roman pizza, onde of the best i’ve ever had. I’ve discovered the place in some reviews of rome and it really blowed me away. The service differs from the rest of rome once the public is mostly local, different from other parts of the city (so don’t expect the best english), but they really try to communicate and help. Really approved. Oh, don’t forget the tiramisu, is awesome too!

Amazing. A little out of the way if you stay in the "middle" around the Vatican etc but worth a trip. Feels "authentic" Italian, the whole place was locals apart from us. Staff were lovely, food was amazing and fantastic value for money!
