Avis LA VÉRANDA - GRAND-HÔTEL DU CAP-FERRAT - FOUR SEASONS Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

Not good enough, I’ve dined at the Grand Hotel du Cap over the last 3 decades and although the food has always been exceptional, the service last night was not, we had to ask the waiter repeatedly to get our aperitifs and by the time they were served we were shown to our table, usually the restaurant provides a small table for the ladies hand bags, however on this occasion there was none, trying to get the attention of the staff proved to be difficult, on previous visits, you only had to glance over your shoulder and someone would offer to be of service, when we asked for the bill, we had to wait too long, although the Grand Hotel has high standards, you should never keep your customer waiting to give you profit and the customer should never have to queue to pay, and we felt that this very much was the case much to our frustration, we will be back but please get the service in La Veranda back to what it used to be, the Grand Hotel du Cap is an icon in the hotel world, and everything about it should be both immaculate and perfect but on this occasion it was not, come on GHDC, please improve and get it right!

Beautiful restaurant, seated under trees and overlooking gardens. Exquisite meals, comprehensive wine list, crafted cocktails and attentive service from all the Hotel staff. A singer and saxophonist added to the atmosphere of the summer night.

나무 그늘 아래서 식사를 하는 경험이 특별합니다. 정원이 아주 잘 가꿔져 있습니다. 음식의 양은 조금 적습니다. 위치는 아쉽습니다. 볼트 잡기가 너무 어려웠어요 ㅠㅠ

Accueil, service, repas, cadre tout est parfait ! L’ hôtel nécessite un rafraîchissement tout de même.
Update 2025. Tout est parfait, comme d’habitude. Seule petite remarque : soyez un peu plus attentifs aux clients et leur potentielles demandes sur la terrasse. Dix minutes d’attente pour croiser un regard - c’est trop.

Une soirée mémorable dans un lieu raffiné, portée par une cuisine remarquable et un chef aussi talentueux qu’attentif.
Mais ce qui a véritablement marqué notre expérience, c’est la présence de Kevin, le sommelier. Son professionnalisme, sa bienveillance discrète et son sens du service rare ont apporté à notre dîner une touche de grâce et de distinction. Grâce à lui, cette soirée restera gravée comme un moment d’exception.

Pagues més per la ubicació que pel menjar. Tot correcte, però la qualitat no està a l’altura del preu. El servei, com sempre, perfecte, però els preus són força injustificats.

Я хожу в этот ресторан более 30 лет. Он знал взлеты и падания сохраняя потрясающий вид и атмосферу. По состоянию на сегодняшний день сервис медленный и бестолковый, еда очень слабая, особенно по сравнению с ожиданиями. Год назад я бы поставил 4, три года назад 5. Сейчас от 1 отделяет только атмосфера. Если в меню будет икра - НЕ БЕРИТЕ. Она чудовищна. Вот что бывает если вы постоянно набираете новый персонал.

We only went for a coffee, however we met a sommelier named Christos in La Veranda, he os one of the most charming and knowledgeable and entertaining sommelier i’ve met. We spent the afternoon there and he made sure we were always taken care of. Full five stara for the service. Congratulations!

Bon acceuil comme toujours au Grand Hôtel. Cette fois-ci nous avons déjeuner avec mon père pour profiter des premiers jours de soleil.
La cuisine était bonne, fine et l assaisonnement parfait ( le homard réhaussé des pâtes relevées était excellent). Nous n avons cette fois ci pas consommé d alcool vu l heure de la journnée. Mais la carte est parfaite de ce côté là. Seul petit bémol la personne qui s est occupé du service n était pas du tout chaleureuse et le service nous a parut un peu roboratif. Pour ne pas dire froid.

We went for a 60th birthday celebration with close family.
For a place like this, we expected premium service. Unfortunately we were met with confused orders, wrong wine pairings and nobody in the service team could specify what species of fish was being served..
In general, everyone was happy with their food. But at a place like this, it is the service that should be the stand out.
The staff graciously did offer us a selection of desserts on the house as compensation but we left the dinner slightly disappointed, as we had received much better service for half the cost just down by the harbor. It was supposed to be a time for celebration.

Amazing food in the restaurant, absolutely wonderful service and atmosphere. Incredible views too. Food was delicious and they let us order off menu/custom, which was delightful.

Got in after a long day of travel and was treated to an incredible meal. Four seasons never disappoints. We had an incredible dinner layered with flavor and beautiful service.

Over the course of several days, I had the pleasure of trying multiple dishes, and every single one was absolutely outstanding. The menu features a variety of truffle-infused dishes, even desserts, adding a touch of indulgence. The Iberian ham is a must-try, offering rich flavors and impeccable texture. Additionally, the portions are generous, ensuring a satisfying meal every time.

There are plenty of staff members, all of whom are friendly and welcoming, contributing to the warm and inviting atmosphere. This sensational restaurant in Cap Ferrat is a true gem, offering a wonderful ambiance at any time of the day, whether indoors or outdoors. Unter Bäumen mit etwas Blick auf das Meer. Kaum zu überbietendes nettes Ambiente. Das Essen hatte einen überragend guten Geschmack. Das Brot (drei Sorten) war frisch und lecker. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es gab einen kleinen zweiten Stuhl, damit die Tasche nicht auf der Erde stehen muss. Leider war das Essen nicht heiss. Gleiches galt für den Kaffee. Am Nebentisch wurde geraucht, während ich das etwa 100 Euro teure Gericht pro Person genießen sollte. Es umfasste Hauptgericht, Dessert und Kaffee. Auguste Escoffier hötte das nicht zugelassen.

Petit bémol, les prix ne sont pas au niveau de ce qu'on a dans l'assiette

Le cadre est idyllique, sur la terrasse (c'est encore l'été en plein mois d'octobre).
Le service est très sympa même si un petit oubli de bouteille d'eau vient troubler la perfection.
Dans l'assiette c'est très bon et bien servi. L'équilibre est trouvé, surtout pour le dessert chocolaté absolument succulent.
L'ambiance... est... particulière. Entre le pigeon qui bouffe les corbeilles de pain posées sur les plateaux de service à 3 m des tables et le voisin qui joue avec son dentier... en le faisant tomber par terre... On ne doit pas avoir la même conception de l'éducation et de la discrétion.
Bref, une très bonne adresse tout de même. Surtout avec la femme de sa vie.
