Soo disappointed with the service. As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Member, I have never seen that low service quality and disrespect to the guests time.
I’ve arrived at the hotel at 1.00 pm. The reception told me that my room is going to be ready @ 2.30 pm. I came at 2.45, they said it’s not ready, and will be ready in 20-30 min. I checked again at 3.15, they said it will be ready at 4.00 pm. No apologies, no additional effort to remedy the delay. After a red eye flight, with no sleep, I had no option but to sleep on a couch at the lobby. It’s not the standards that I’m used to receive as Marriott Gold member.

Wir wollten mit vier Personen spontan etwas trinken gehen und hatten uns bewusst für die Rooftop-Bar im Meridian entschieden – mit der Hoffnung auf einen schönen Abend. Oben angekommen, fragten wir höflich nach einem Tisch. Man sagte uns, dass keine Reservierungen angenommen werden und wir einfach ca. 15 Minuten warten sollten, bis ein Platz frei wird.

Nach rund einer Viertelstunde verließ eine größere Gruppe den Bereich, und wir gingen erneut zum Empfang. Zu unserer Überraschung wurde uns dann mitgeteilt, es gäbe nur Platz für drei Personen – obwohl gerade eben ein Tisch mit deutlich mehr Gästen frei geworden war. Ein Vorschlag oder Lösung seitens des Personals? Fehlanzeige. Stattdessen wurden wir schlicht abgewiesen.

Wir fühlten uns alles andere als willkommen. Die Art, wie hier mit Gästen umgegangen wird, ist enttäuschend – vor allem, wenn man offen für spontane Besucher sein will. So etwas sollte in einem Lokal mit Anspruch auf gehobene Atmosphäre nicht passieren.

Fazit: Leider keine Empfehlung von unserer Seite. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Wir kamen oben an die Rooftopbar und haben gefragt, ob wir vier Personen etwas trinken können. Daraufhin sagte man uns sie nehmen keine Reservierung an. Wir sollen einfach circa ne Viertelstunde warten und dann wird etwas frei sein für uns. Nach circa 15 Minuten ging eine Gruppe von acht Personen raus und wir gingen wieder an den Desk und man sagte uns, es gebe nur Platz für drei Personen. Schade, dass man mit Kunden so umgeht.
Absolut keine Empfehlung.

Location was great. However, it was near a busy intersection, and French police always uses silent when driving anywhere! There was siren noise all hours of the day. Someone need to tell them, they don't need a siren most of the time!

You much check out the beautiful room top restaurant at night for an incredible views.

Comfortable but certainly not luxurious experience. I expected much more given the cost per night and would re-classify this as a three star property.

There were simply too many inconveniences for me to ignore. Pre-paid gift package not being honored, odd foul smells over entire floor, pool area was mediocre, poor service in rooftop bar, chaotic breakfast area, mice in common areas, their “balcony” rooms are false advertising.

A perfect stay and home base for our South of France engagement trip. We booked the seaside view room and it was so beautiful and picturesque we couldn’t help but stare out every time we got back to our room. Check in was super easy, room service was on point and premises were always clean. Lastly, the location was perfect, it’s right on the boardwalk and are surrounded by restaurants/shopping and close to public transport if you need to do day trips in Antibes, Villa Franch Sur Mer, Eze etc.

The original room we were given was similar to a jail. We upgraded to a sea view room which was much better but still not particularly luxurious or particularly comfortable but the view was amazing. Not bad overall and it was clean, but I wouldn’t recommend to family or friends.

Location was good. However, the hotel was chaotic... Lines everywhere. Key card machine didn't work the first day, staff were walking people to the their rooms and using the master key, which was okay. The walls were thin so I could hear the people next door talking all night. Breakfast was a madhouse. Summer time travel.

Very good two night stay and would recommend! No issues and everything went smoothly. View of the water was amazing and rooftop restaurant/bar/pool was a great perk. Location was great, right across from beach and five minutes walk to old town. Check in and check out very easy. Breakfast was included with status - plenty of variety and was pretty good.

The rooftop pool is a joke!! I read it was supposed to be adults only n had to listen to a screaming child all day long. So small it only had 12 swing type chairs, which 6 butt against the glass and is 6 inches from falling into the pool.

Spectacular view. Goar our housekeeper was amazing. Hotel was right across the street from the beach making dips in the amazing waters of the Mediterranean east.

When we checked in the front desk, agent was very helpful and very informative. Unfortunately, it went down from there. We ended up needing to stay an additional night and when we ask the front desk, we were told they could not extend our stay that we would have to go online and figure out how to get another reservation, which seemed ridiculous. The front desk agent was not helpful at all with the process and basically told us he didn’t have access to do anything. Our first room was very nice and spacious . We had a gorgeous balcony which I would’ve loved to have kept however since I had to go online and rebook for the last night, we had to move rooms and we ended up on the fifth floor with just a sliver of a outdoor area. The view was amazing. There was an Iron Man event going on during our stay so the road ended up being blocked off, which was not a big deal. We were made aware of it when we checked in so that wasn’t a big deal however, it’s something that you should check into before you make a reservation because they do tend to have a lot of events directly in front of the hotel from what I understand.|I would stay there again, however I would be very particular about the type of room I picked .

We had a fantastic stay at Le Méridien Nice, and what truly made it memorable was the exceptional service from the team—especially Goar from housekeeping and Camila at the front desk.||Goar went above and beyond every single day. Our room was spotless and perfectly arranged, and her warm smile and attention to detail made us feel right at home. It’s rare to encounter someone so dedicated and thoughtful—she even left little touches that brightened our day.||Camila at the front desk was equally outstanding. From the moment we checked in, she was welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. Whether it was local recommendations, handling requests with a smile, or making us feel genuinely valued as guests, she made a big difference in our overall experience.||The breakfast was another highlight—fresh, well-presented, and with a wide variety of options to start the day right. Enjoying it with a view of the Mediterranean was a real treat.||The hotel itself boasts a stunning location with breathtaking sea views, and the newly renovated rooms are modern and comfortable. But it’s really the people—like Goar and Camila—who elevate the experience from good to exceptional.||Highly recommend staying here if you’re in Nice!

Not the quality of service or accommodation you would expect. We ended up staying because our flights home got cancelled due to air traffic disruption so had to pay €600 per night. Expected much better quality for this price. Location of this hotel is great but the classic rooms are very basic, it’s like staying in an Ibis. We were put in a room (979) that had renovation works ongoing from 9am in the morning, drilling on the wall and strong smell of paint. Coffee cup in the room had a big chip in the handle. I had work calls to do which were impossible with the noise and poor WiFi reception. After 2 conversations with reception we finally got moved with a begrudging apology. No offer of compensation or room upgrade for the inconvenience we had experienced. Shocking service. The prior 2 nights we had been in the Radisson blu - this hotel was much nicer, better quality rooms and much better service. |This hotel feels very dated and hugely overpriced for the quality of rooms and service. If we could move out and go somewhere else tonight we would.

Extremely Disappointed with the Lack of Response

I recently stayed at Le Méridien Nice and unfortunately left behind a pair of shoes in the room. Since then, we’ve been trying to contact the hotel multiple times — via phone and email — but there has been absolutely no response.

It’s very disappointing that a hotel of this standard does not have a proper lost and found process or even the courtesy to reply to a guest’s query. I expected much better service and basic accountability.

Hope the management sees this and takes some responsibility

Lors de mon récent séjour à Nice, j'ai eu le plaisir de séjourner au Méridien Hôtel, et mon expérience globale fut très satisfaisante. L'hôtel se distingue par son emplacement privilégié, situé à proximité de la célèbre Promenade des Anglais et à une distance commode des transports en commun, ce qui facilite grandement l'exploration de la ville.

Les installations de l'hôtel sont impeccables, avec des chambres élégantes et bien équipées, offrant un confort optimal aux voyageurs. De plus, le service fourni par le personnel de l'hôtel est remarquable, marqué par une attention méticuleuse aux besoins des clients et une attitude professionnelle tout au long du séjour.

Cependant, bien que la qualité globale des services soit irréprochable, j'ai remarqué quelques lacunes mineures lors de mon interaction avec les hôtesses d'accueil, qui semblaient parfois manquer de patience et de compréhension.
Je ne saurai souligner la cause sans en choquer plus d'un.
Cela pourrait être un domaine à améliorer pour garantir une expérience "sans distinction ou Préjugés" pour tous vos clients.

En ce qui concerne la restauration, bien que l'hôtel propose une sélection de repas de qualité, il est à noter que les prix peuvent être relativement élevés, ce qui peut dissuader certains clients de dîner sur place.
Néanmoins, la proximité de l'hôtel avec diverses options de restauration dans les environs compense ce facteur.

Malgré ces quelques points à impérativement améliorer, je recommande vivement cet établissement aux voyageurs en quête de confort et de commodité lors de leur visite à Nice.
