J’ai beaucoup hésité à laisser un avis… ayant reçu un mail de relance j’ai décidé de répondre sans animosités, juste à des fins d’améliorations.

Nous ne sommes pas restés dîner au restaurant. L’accueil a été sec, à la limite de l’impolitesse. Nous avons préféré passer notre chemin plutôt que prendre le risque de passer une soirée dans une ambiance tendue. En indiquant notre désir de partir, nous avons été reçu avec agressivité. Heureusement, une autre personne travaillant chez vous a fait preuve de bienveillance envers nous, en nous laissant partir sans esclandres.

Votre cuisine a une excellente réputation. Nous nous faisions un plaisir de dîner chez vous, ne saboter pas votre réputation à cause de l’accueil que vous faites aux clients (et qui se font un plaisir de dîner chez vous).

The food was excellent.
I booked Lavomatique, thinking we would be outside or inside and we were sent next door. I did not expect to be in another restaurant/space with AC (which I dislike) and not a great vibe.
I think it should specify the location in the booking - the space and setting one chooses to be in is part of the experience.

Nous avons passé un joli moment dans ce petit restaurant chaleureux qui propose des assiettes à partager. Tout était délicieux, on a apprécié cette cuisine simple, bien exécutée avec ses quelques petits twists.

Amazing. Must in nice. I went with my girlfriend and we had one of the best culinary experiences as well as an amazing time. The staff (owner, waitress and cooks) were truly amazing and left me speechless after my meal. Thanks you so much!

This restaurant is one of a kind. The service is amazing, the food is to die for, the wine is even better and the owner is just perfect (really homie). It’s a perfect mixte of French and Mediterranean cuisine with a twister of wine bar. First of all, we entered the Lavomatique restaurant and were indicated to move to the next door (in red) which is the owner’s new wine bar (opened 5 months ago). They serve exactly the same dishes so don’t worry (it’s even quieter in my opinion). Then, we started ordering a dishes (clams, chicken and potatoes, porc ribs and shrimps). This all came with homemade bread (amazing) and amazing service. The owner was super relax and chill, in flip flops and mixing vinyls while managing the whole restaurant. A TRUE European experience, wow wow wow I can’t recommend this place more. We booked same day at 20h (which is 8 pm - on the waitlist) and received a confirmation 1-2 hrs later but I would recommend making a reservation in advance because this place is not to be missed when in Nice (Old Nice). Thank you for everything, one of the best experience ever (and I’ve tried a few restaurants) and cheers!!! Enjoy!

Loved this place
Stumbled into it, by chance they had a two at the bar available.
Fantastic food,waiters are hilarious French with attitude.
Great food ,Natural wines highly recommended but book on line to save disappointment.

Absolutely terrific gem in old Nice! Food was incredible, service attentive and it was very entertaining to sit at the counter and watch the chefs working. Food is for sharing, perfect for a date night. Our favorites were the aubergine, small fish and falafel!

Au bar, on voit les délices en préparation, un ballet d’assiettes toutes plus belles les unes que les autres! Celles qui ont atterri devant nous étaient un régal pour les papilles et les yeux. Service aux petits soins, chef talentueux, merci pour ce bon moment!

I try to eat at Lavomatique on every visit to Nice. The food is always outstanding, the presentation excellent, and the staff seems to really enjoy servicing the customers.

Fantastisk restaurant. Vi var der første gang for 2 år siden og bestilte til denne gang med vilje bord i god tid for at være sikker på at få et bord.

Vi elsker den mad I laver, og vi elsker at kigge på, når I laver maden.

Give them a Michelin star right now. The food is amazing, and the guys working there are so attentive and sweet. I went there alone and I can highly recommend Lavomatique to other solo-travelers (and everyone else). If you don’t go here during your visit to Nice, you are missing out. Remember to book in advance. Prices are really good too. (And try the eggplant)

We dined here twice in the last 3 weeks and both evenings were wonderful. Love the "sharing is caring" style and ordering lots of small plates. Our recommendation would be to order the dishes you want to eat at the same time, and don't order too much at the same time since everything comes as it's ready. So, order two things and wait until you're about finished with those before you order the next plates. There is truly not a single bad dish on the menu, and we particularly loved anything that came off the smoker. The bar is really fun to sit at and watch the crew work together. They clearly care about the food, their customers, and each other. Can't wait to come back again and again.

Très bonne soirée dans ce petit restaurant (par la taille) très convivial avec ces places dressées au comptoir autour de la cuisine.
Les produits sont de très bonne qualité et cuisiné avec intelligence et justesse. Ribs et gratin de pâte excellent et la tarte au citron sublime entre autres. Le service aux petits soins avec de très bons conseils sur les vins.
On reviendra des que possible, dès que nos finances nous le permettront.

I've been planning to eat here since it opened, I walk past regularly. Tried to walk in once when it wasn't busy but they don't do walk-ins. That's ok. Tried to book once as I walked past, but they don't take in person bookings. A bit strange but ok. Tried to book online and they want credit card info. I can maybe understand this in high season when relying on tourists that might change their mind at the last minute, but generally this is a concept that must never catch on. A credit card to reserve a table? Ridiculous! Looks like we'll never eat here.

EDIT: I bit the bullet, used my card, had an excellent if overpriced meal, 2 weeks later, card cloned (I used single use virtual cards for online transactions so it was definitely cloned from their reservation system). I guess they realised as credit cards are no longer required, but I am pretty sure they are legally required to inform customers when their data is compromised.
