It was a great pleasure to have dinner at Le Petit Lascaris! Partly because of the great food and wine, I recommend to ask if there is a chef’s special that is not featured on the menu. First and foremost it waa such a pleasure because of the great hostesses that run the place. You might think they’re sisters, but it turns out there no each other for decades as friends, which might be even cooler. Loved the atmosphere dining outside in this cute street in Vieux-Nice with these cool ladies and the great food!

This place was recommended to us so we decided to try it. When we first arrived we were told that there was no tables available except for one in the back corner by the bathroom door which had little stools to sit on for children. We sat and they brought a big board with very limited menu choices written on it in chalk, no real menu. We chose 2 meals and both were horrible. The portions were small, the food quality is poor, and the prices are crazy. The kitchen is in the back and is open so the man cooking is visible. As we ate we noticed more and more that he was touching everything, touching raw meat, wiping sweat, and not washing his hands at all. We ordered the quail dish and the beef tagliata and found both incredibly poor. While the meat for the tagliata was of reasonable quality, it was almost raw. I do not mean rare, or seared, I mean like tartar raw. I like beef tartar also but if I wanted it, I would order it. The quail was the exact opposite. Meat was dry and it was super overdone. I saw other reviews in the past that mentioned raw poultry so maybe they're overcorrecting. I ordered one small draft beer and it was 9 euro. All in all we spent 50 euro (no real receipt, just written on a scrap of paper) and left hungry, dissappointed, and confused. I do now understand how this place enjoys such a high rating for the quality. I don't know if it's just a tourist trap or what but the positive reviews must be coming from foreigners that leave good reviews after eating something they don't like because they think "maybe that's how they do it here".

The most cozy and quirky little restaurant. The food was just downright amazing. Great timing on everything. Fantastic wine. The place feels so pragmatic and laid back, but the food and service is just 100% on point!

Nice and special, but it is standard and same thing.

This was our favourite restaurant in Nice. Found it by accident and we are glad we did! The food is excellent, all cooked by one chef. The service is absolutely lovely too and the whole restaurant feels like you're in someone's living room / traditional, no frills. Highly recommend and would come back again.

Cutest little French restaurant in the old part of Nice. I stumbled on it by accident and I am glad I did! I had the roasted quail and potatoes and both were delicious! Friendly and attentive service too.

Ein Traum - kleines, sehr einfaches Lokal, exklusive Speisen, freundlicher Service, unaufgeregt exklusiv, perfektes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Beef Tartare, Wachteln und Fisch sind ein Traum.
Leider haben wir kein Dessert mehr geschafft, doch das Tiramisu war bei den anderen Gästen sehr beliebt
Kompliment an den Koch! Wir kommen wieder!

Lieu charmant tant à la dèco et très bien placé en plein cœur du vieux Nice....

Mais par contre, au mois de Juillet on dirait une Sauna, pas de ventilation , en plus trop cher par rapport à la qualité prix.

JAMAIS CHOISIR le tartar de Bœuf.... moi et les quatre amis qu’on en a mangé on a attrapé une superbe décomposition et un vrai mal au ventre .... on a même eu peur d’avoir attrapé une salmonelose!!! ????

Superb staff and brilliant food. Much less pretentious than the restaurant next door and just as good. We visited again recently (third time in 3 years) and was a very different experience. We were rushed through (45min end to end), seated outside we had washing dripping on us, and the menu was very limited. The quail was good but just ok. Service was very brisk and without any connection to customers. My suggestion would be to slow down just a bit and show people how great food and friendly service can make great memories.
