1ere expérience en revenant de la grotte. Le cadre est très sympa, le service génial avec un serveur marrant et cultivé donc discussion sympa et intéressante mais les tarifs sont juste hallucinants, 7e le coca de 25cl ! par exemple
Bref soyez avertis, l'endroit est sympa etc mais prévoyez un budget assez élevé pour un repas au bord de mer
Pour ma part je ne reviendrai pas

J´étais curieuse de découvrir ce restaurant très réputé de Nice. Le cadre est original (attention au vent, prévoyez une petite veste). Le service est impeccable. Petit bémol et ce n'est que mon avis : les plats sont corrects (petites quantités), on paye surtout la vue.

Restaurant avec vue ! Seconde expérience au restaurant Le Plongeoir et encore une fois je suis ravie du service, de la qualité des plats et du cadre qui reste exceptionnel.

An incredible experience you won’t regret! The view is one in a million. Even in the colder months it was still remarkable. The drinks, food, experience was 10/10. Would recommend to anyone!

This is an elegant, but accessible restaurant in Nice from a standpoint of cost and a having such a welcoming nature. The location on the water is incredible. We did not have a lunch reservation, so we arrived as they opened and they were able to seat us right away. Within 30 minutes the restaurant has filled up. The staff were so lovely that we we enjoyed interacting with everyone we talked to. The wine we ordered (a rose in the mid price range) was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their food immense. We had the shrimp risotto and sea bream dishes. The zucchini flower and mackerel appetizers were also very good.

Atmosphère époustouflante donc j’avais peur que les plats ne soient pas au même niveau, mais nous nous sommes régalés! Petite mention particulière pour la purée de pomme de terre qui est tout simplement incroyable.

Sehr coole Location direkt am bzw. im Wasser! Essen war auch sehr gut… Leider etwas teuer für die Menge an Essen, aber die Location macht das schon wieder gut :) Besonders für einen kleinen Snack zwischendurch oder einen Drink mit einem Date eignet sich dieser Hotspot besonders.

Wunderschönes Restaurant mit toller Aussicht, ganz besonderem Ambiente und ausgezeichnetem Essen. Der Service war erstklassig und die Atmosphäre am Abend unbeschreiblich schön. Reservierung empfehlenswert.

We came here because of a friend's recommendation. The restaurant is situated on top of a rock standing in the ocean. The service was exceptionally good and we had a nice chat with the waiters. Then the food arrived and it was simply great and you could taste the fresh ingredients. They recommended a cocktail which was amazing as well. We really enjoyed our meal listening to the crashing waves and with the view into the ocean. Could not have been better.

Cadre sublime .. même en pleine tempête....mais des tarifs sl bien trop élevés pour des plats quelconques fait a la maison sans difficultés.une expérience sans regret mais avec le goût de l'amertume comme un café dégueulasse.

Very sad start.
We booked and reservation was confirmed.
The restaurant wanted to change this afterwards without offering any benefit.
If I were to change the terms, they would have charged me 100 euros for not attending for example.
But if they change terms the only option you have os to cancel.

This is very unfair.
I will edit this post after going on Monday.

EDIT: I had a great experience. Food was good. Service was great. I would recommend the place! Very nice scenery.

I read some reviews that said the view made up for the food, but we have no complaints. After eating at a Michelin Starred restaurant last night we weren’t expecting much tonight. But we were wrong. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious!

My husband and I visited Le Plongeoir this past weekend after having a reservation booked months in advance. We were really looking forward to a great dining experience. Granted, the location is gorgeous and with nice weather the atmosphere would have been much more pleasant but during our evening it was a cold windy night for an 8:30pm start.
Unfortunately the food, drink and service brought the entire experience down. We had two cocktails, three appetizers, two mains and a dessert. I've never felt so rushed eating a meal with wait staff cleaning around us. My husband joked that he felt we were at a hot dog eating contest because the quality of the food and the rush of service haha.
Neither of us drank much of our cocktails because we didn't like them, which went unnoticed by our server. We didn't finish our starters before the mains came to the table. and for dessert our server forgot to mention that the chocolate/orange dessert was actually ice cream while I was visibly freezing cold with my winter coat warped around me.
I normally write experiences that are very positive however after paying the price of this restaurant I needed to share how disappointed I was and hopefully encourage others to try a different restaurant in Nice!

What a great experience! Loved the crashing waves all around, it felt like being in a ship. All staff were very kind and friendly and took the time to welcome us upon arrival and then thank us as we left.

Très dommage pour un tel site de pratiquer des prix si exorbitants pour des plats corrects mais rationnés et très chers.
Quel gâchis ! C’est juste scandaleux!

Le restaurant est situé dans un cadre exceptionnel, sur la mer. Je pense qu'il y a peu d'endroits au monde comme celui-là. Je trouve un peu dommage qu'il y ait une sorte de grande toile déployée au-dessus de la terrasse dès le mois de mai car de ce fait on n'est plus au soleil. Ce serait mieux d'avoir de simples parasols pour les jours de grande chaleur l'été et qu'on nous laisse prendre le soleil le reste du temps.
Attention le restaurant est souvent privatisé et vous risquez de trouver porte close.
La cuisine est bonne mais rien d'exceptionnel non plus. Ce sont souvent les mêmes plats / desserts qui reviennent plusieurs jours d'affilée...
