Plats au curry sans goût au curry, barquette de riz vraiment pas bon, on aurait dit qu’il datait de 3 jours, les naans pareil… c’est cher pour du réchauffé pas frais…

Our visit to Bollywood Lollywood was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the service was off — the waiter we were served by was incredibly rude and seemed irritated by even basic questions.

The food was equally disappointing. The mattar paneer had no paneer at all — just a bowl of peas in a bland sauce. The chana masala was burnt, and when we politely pointed this out, the waiter responded by shouting at us, rather than apologising or offering to fix it. It was completely unprofessional and honestly quite shocking.

Several other dishes were overcooked or charred, and the overall quality was far below what anyone should expect at a restaurant claiming to serve authentic Indian food.

What’s worse is that it’s clear this place is targeting tourists, serving them substandard food under the guise of Indian cuisine, banking on the assumption that they won’t know any better. As people familiar with proper Indian food, this was not just disappointing — it was insulting.

There was no care in the cooking, no pride in the service, and absolutely no hospitality. We won’t be returning, and I’d recommend others look elsewhere if they’re hoping for a genuine, respectful dining experience.

Please do not go to this restaurant, owner is highly rude and obnoxious. You are made to feel highly unwelcome as if he is doing a favour on you for allowing you to dine. To top it off, food is a disaster. This must be possibly the worst restaurant and owner in entire Europe.

Usually i don’t post reviews but this time i had to, such rude owner/ manager, i don’t who the hell he was. No sense of talking while talking order, when we asked to repeat the order - he just said - “What have you even ordered so i should repeat” though we ordered 5 dishes. Super slow service and arrogant staff, specially person with grey hair.
Staying hungry would be better rather eating here. Enter at your own risk.

If you're debating to go here, don't go. We shouldn't support this place in any way shape or form. Put in the order for apps with the intention to put in our order for dinner once my wife returned from the bathroom. After I ordered the waiter rudely said you can't just order snacks and took away the menu. After that move and attitude I didn't want to eat here anymore so got up. Before leaving i confronted the waiter and told him we initially just put in the order for apps. Rather than apologize he got mad and said you can't just order 4 euro of food here (even though just apps was 30 euro plus). Horrible people, horrible experience. This waiter Yusuf has no customer service skills. Avoid at all costs.

The place is really pathetic. Zero sense of talking. Seto care for children. The complete restaurant was empty and they were not even talking properly. They were against indians and just wanted french customers. I asked the name of the person who was arguing with me and he denied to tell his name. Prefer going to Rajmahal. Its the best.

The owner is rude and racist. Such humans are a disgrace. He wants to only entertain non Indian crowd. Its a shame such people exist. 2nd class citizens surviving under Stockholm syndrome. Shame on them!

If there were a time machine I would change the decision to go here. Believe the low rating given to this place. I'm amazed that they manage to stay open..
Food was really bad, taste was horrible and they substitute paneer for some random cheese. The food was so bad that three of my friends got diarrhoea by time we left.
Service is below average, we got less than what we asked for, and then we waited for the remaining food to arrive.
Atmosphere: you see insects flying around and when we asked about it the guy there sprayed something and nothing changed. I saw 5 other guests came after us and 4 left.
Our mistake: sometimes you crave Indian food so bad that you miss out on all signs that could help you avoid a bad experience.

Hope people don't go to this restaurant, they need to change a lot.

Bollywood Lollywood in Nice is a delightful surprise! The cuisine is truly impressive, offering a vibrant and flavorful taste of India.
A diverse menu featuring popular Indian dishes. We tasted flavorful curries, creamy and rich, with a delightful spice kick. Tandoori specialities, for sure, as well.

Don't get what people are complaining about, the butter chicken was great and the service super fast would recommend if you want some nice comfort food. Side note my gf is celiac and it's a very gluten free friendly place as the owner was super helpful regarding that. Thank you ! ????

Had quite the opposite experience from what's mentioned in the many one star reviews! We did not find the owner to be rude at all - he was friendly, chatted with us, made sure our food tasted to our liking. In fact, I spilled my whole cup of tea, he replaced it and cleaned it up with a smile.
The food was decent, chai was excellent ????

Avoid if you are Indian families looking for some homely dining experience as we were told we should order individually and not as a table to share as it doesn’t add up and that such orders should be given as take away, rather weird as restaurant was empty.
Anyways food was decent.

Une superbe expérience du début à la fin !
Le service était impeccable : attentionné, à l’écoute et très bien pensé. On sent que chaque détail est réfléchi pour que le client passe un bon moment. Mention spéciale pour l’adaptation des plats à mes goûts, notamment concernant le piment — c’est rare et vraiment appréciable ! La nourriture était délicieuse, pleine de saveurs, et parfaitement maîtrisée. Une adresse que je recommande les yeux fermés !

this is not a Indian restaurant, this is Pakistani restaurant with the name of India and its goodwill.
Owner behaviour was so rude.
He judge book by its cover, and he was arrogant.
Though the place was quite empty but he was behaving as it was the Nice best Indian Restaurant.
It was the pathetic experience with this restaurant.

Food was not so good,, they don't even use Salt as they say that they cater to Foreigner.
How can an Indian restaurant be without the spices?

Restaurant très sympa au cœur de Nice!
L’accueil était très bon, le personnel gentil et très réactif. Notre commande est arrivée rapidement. Le choix est vaste, pour un prix tout à fait convenable. Nous avons pris 3 menus: 1 sauce, du riz et un naan pour 13 euros. La portion de riz était généreuse. Les plats sont très bons, et servis avec une sauce extra piquante. En entrée, nous avons pris des samosas aux pois chiches, qui étaient très bons aussi, mais nous n’avons pas compris pourquoi il n’y en avait que 2 au lieu de 6 comme inscrit sur le menu. Sûrement une incompréhension.
Finalement, c’est un bon restaurant, certainement pas 100% tradition indienne, mais qui vous conviendra parfaitement si vous n’êtes pas très compliqués.

Repas trop léger pour le prix payé : les quantités servies sont insuffisantes et les plats sont servis dans des cassolettes ridicules ...pour un plat à 17 euros en moyenne, en France on a une vraie assiette !!..les naans étaient tout minces..eh oui même la pâte coûte cher !! bref quand nous sommes partis nous avions faim ! Les plats sont bons mais les quantités sont à revoir. A trop vouloir tirer sur les quantités ce resto n'est pas crédible.
