My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in July using as a base to explore the Pyrenees on our motorbike. Perfect location for this and also to go to the coast. Hotel was modern and clean with a lovely restaurant, serving good quality well presented food. Too often at breakfast time there would be no bowls for use and staff had to be asked. The standard room was all we needed with enough space. A few extra hooks for hanging coats etc would be good and a slight bit of wear and tear to the board outside the shower was the only thing not quite up to standard. Swimming pool area was clean and relaxing. Plenty of parking. A special mention to The bar/restaurant staff, especially Trecy, Manon and Adalaine were super friendly and helpful making the stay even more enjoyable

J'ai fait un passage éclair à l'hôtel MERCURE de Pau. Arrivée 23h30 départ 8H30 après le petit-déjeuner. L'accueil a été efficace, la chambre agréable et bien équipée : j'y ai bien dormi, le peti-dej était sympa. Certainement une bonne adresse !

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Easily accessible car park with only a short drive back onto the motorway. Pool area is really nice but would be helpful to have some more shaded areas. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the food.

Séjour parfait, un très bon moment en couple. Un restaurant d'hôtel très bon. Le burger était délicieux.

Comme beaucoup d’autres, commentaires, ce que j’apprécie dans cet hôtel, c’est d’abord son accès à deux, pas du péage sans être trop bruyant. Le surclassement Platino m’a fonctionné la carte du restaurant, la basse-cour, le simple mais gourmande avec un menu du jour varié.||Ce qui est dommage c’est la salle de sport qui est en fait un réduit, pas de serviette disponible, Bonbonne d eau vide il faut faire un effort là-dessus!

mercure hotel, so no surprises in the room (which is a bit small though) and in the services. I was here for work reasons.

very kind staff and available to listen to my requests. I had dinner in the restaurant and one of the dishes had an ingredient not clearly described on the menu that I don't like at all (full of garlic), so when it was served to me I simply left the dish on the table. the waitress immediately became concerned, recognizing the problem and tried together with the head waiter to solve it by offering an option. I kindly refused and appreciated that the dish was not billed to me. Appreciate.

Hôtel qui mérite un 4 étoiles. Chambre très propre, très beau décor et personnel attentif. Un Merci particulier à Hugo qui nous a fait de très bonnes suggestions de sites et villages intéressantes à visiter. Une très belles régions à découvrir.

This was the worst Mercure I have ever experienced. The room decor and fittings were cheap and tacky. The in room safe was broken, the fridge was not cooling, the toilet flusher was broken, the towels provided were thin and poor quality. There were no toiletries or amenities. There was a side table on only one side of the bed although there was room for two. The front desk person was unfriendly and unpleasant. He asked if we wanted a high or low floor, noting that the high floor would be hot. We were debating, in front of him, the fact that we preferred to be cooler but that then my husband, not a young man, would have to take our large suitcases up several stairs. The young man at the desk never suggested he might help with the luggage! So we opted for upstairs to use the elevator - 4th floor was the only offer - and it was stifling hot all night! How is it that air conditioning was not yet available when it was already May and 25 degrees out?!

A hold of E100 was placed on my credit card. This has never been done by any Mercure previously. And now, days later, the bank still has not released the funds. What was the purpose? There is nothing in the fridge, we said we were not eating in the restaurant and our credit card was already on file as a guarantee.

Looking down from our room, the pool was filthy and had mold. I assume it was not open but then it should be covered, it was disgusting to look down on and makes one wonder about the overall hygiene of the facility.

Breakfast buffet was very mediocre with stale bread and old pastries.

This was by no means a 4-star hotel, not even Mercure standard. It should be downgraded to a Novotel or Ibis.

The only positive was that Pauline, the morning desk person was very nice and helpful. The evening person was terrible but he had no name badge.

Je passe un séjour quasi 1 semaine sur 2 à l’hôtel mercure de Pauz depuis plus d’un an. Je n’ai absolument rien à reprocher. L’accueil est très bien des mon arrivée jusqu’au départ. Les chambres sont très bien. Le restaurant et la cuisine sont vraiment de haute qualité. La salle de sport est aussi très bien. Le seul bémol c’est peut-être que j’ai rarement eu l’opportunité de profiter d’un surclassement !

Très bon hôtel, de ce que l’on peut attendre d’un 4 étoiles à Pau. Le personnel, jeune et accueillant est top. La chambre, est comme toujours très confortable, et le parking toujours un réel confort lorsque l’on arrive après un long voyage.

Nous avons réservé 3 chambres et mangé 2 fois plus le petit déjeuner.
Les repas à la carte et le petit déjeuner étaient très bien avec un personnel agréable.
Concernant la restauration, la seule petite fausse note, pour un 4*, est de présenter un menu du jour identique pour la semaine... comme on a le choix qu'entre deux entrées, deux plats et deux desserts si on reste plus de 2 jours on remange forcément la même chose.
Concernant les chambres il y a des problèmes d'hygiène qui sont indignes d'un 4*:
Sur les 3 chambres 2 avaient des problèmes d'odeur et après 1 nuit nous avons dû demander à changer, ce qui a été accepté.
Dans la nouvelle chambre que nous avons eu, les joints de la douche était noir donnant une impression de sale.
.. même si le ménage avait été fait.
Il y a de nombreux problèmes de finition, traces de colle apparente, murs abîmés, peinture décollée...un établissement qui propose 4* devrait être entretenu.
Les personnes qui nous accompagnaient nous ont dit qu'elles ne reviendraient plus dans cet établissement et nous ferons de même.
