Avoid this hotel at all costs!

When we arrived at the hotel location we were greeted by a group of very intoxicated homeless people that were camped by the main front door of the hotel. They were there for the whole of our stay.
We then parked our car in the underground car park which has a sign for the Novotel guests right by the entrance. We then went to checkin where the receptionist was very unwelcoming and verging on rude. After checking in we went to collect our bicycles from our car, as were then on a cycling trip. The hotel said it would provide a secure lock up room for the bikes, however the secured lock up was hardly secure at all and was easily accessible so we decided to keep our bikes in our room.
When I went to the car to get the bike it had been stolen.
I went straight to reception where they could not be less helpful saying the car park was not there responsibility and run by a completely separate company, even though they took payment when we checked out for parking!
The room must of previously been a smoking room due to the smell and the brown outline on the wall of where a picture use to hang. The bathroom was disgusting with multiple cobwebs dust and dirt behind the door. The sofa bed was not flat at all and very uncomfortable.
The lack of service, compassion and empathy from the reception staff was the worst I had experienced in any hotel and I believe there must of been thefts of this nature happen many time before at Novotel Metz Centre.

I re-iterate AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!

Très bonne expérience : un Hôtel très confortable avec une équipe souriante, dynamique et accueillante. Un vrai plaisir! Bravo! D’autant plus remarquable que cela devient rare.

Schönes Hotel in einer guten Lage. Zimmer groß. Wir hatten eines mit Blick zum Pool. Im Sommer unbedingt die dunklen Gardinen zuziehen, da hier den ganzen Tag die Sonne scheint und es sich sonst zu stark aufwärmt. Ein Punkt Abzug, weil es nur einen Aufzug zu den Zimmern gibt und wenn das Hotel gut belegt ist, dauert es seine Zeit.
Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit. An der Rezeption sowie an der Bar.
Parken im öffentlichen Parkhaus möglich.
Außerdem klasse, dass es im Hotel Wasserspender gibt, wo man kostenlos Wasser nehmen kann.

Despite glossy reception, this hotel needs a refurb internally. The breakfast, although plentiful, had 'hot' food which was not hot, and the bacon was under-cooked. Could have been good value for money if that were rectified. Our room was laid out with apparently no thought that one bed was too close to a wall to get out, although there was ample space to rectify that, too!

Badkamer gedateerd, toiletpot zo laag gemonteerd, leek wel een toilet voor kleuters. Verf bij het raam kozijn viel er zo wat af. Smerige garage, rook verschrikkelijk (plasgeur). Locatie/buurt niet leuk, veel straatvuil. Geen aanrader.

Ho soggiornato solo una notte|La posizione è strategica vicino la cattedrale e alla movida . La hall e la sale comuni veramente di gusto. Colazione ottima e variegata. Ma la nota dolente sono le camere. La mobilia è datata e nonostante la grandezza sia molto comoda , l' occhio vuole la sua parte , non mi sono sentita a mio agio. Basterebbe poco per rinfrescarne l'aspetto.

Catastophique , clim ko avec fuite qui inonde la salle de bain , rebord de fenetre moisie , d'ou une odeur terrible dans la chambre et pareil sur la table du petit dejeuné...

My wife and I overnighted here on our way from Frankfurt to Reims and picked the hotel due to its central location to the old town. Location was good, but hotel was a real disappointment. As Accor members we like using their hotels but this has to be the worst Novotel we have stayed at. Very tired and needs a thorough renovation . 2 stars would be generous.

The room was old style, the couch wasn‘t very confortable, to little sockens.
The breakfast: cold stuff, bread, coffee was good; the warm stuff( scrumble eggs, bacon) wasn‘t a pleasure to eat.

Mooi hotel, gunstig gelegen midden in het centrum van Metz, makkelijk te bereiken. De auto kan je parkeren onder het hotel, afrekenen bij het uitchecken. Ik had een grote kamer. Alleen maar Franse zenders op de tv. Mooi zwembad. Lekker ontbijt en diner.
Ik had mijn racefiets bij me, die ik in een aparte ruimte kon plaatsen. Alleen de racefiets moest van de ene naar de andere lift en dat was wel behelpen. Ik vond dat verder geen probleem.

Hôtel idéalement situé pour visiter Metz. Standard classique d'un Novotel. En séminaire dans cet hôtel, nous avons pris des paniers repas le dernier jour, et c'était vraiment pas bon. Dommage

Très bel hôtel, bien situé avec une équipe sympathique, mais pas de climatisation dans la chambre, qui n’était même pas en panne.

Apparemment le responsable de l’hôtel avait décidé de couper la Clim car il faisait froid. Incompréhensible au vu de la météo avec un beau soleil durant mon séjour.
Cela a vraiment ruiné mon expérience chez Novotel et je suis un habitué du groupe Accor.

Très très très déçu !!!!

Bizarrement, cette fois-ci je n’ai pas eu le sondage pour donner mon avis sur leur site, mais il y a celui de Google pour partager malheureusement, ma très mauvaise expérience.

Nous avons payé près de 200 euros pour une nuit dans une chambre qui n’était clairement pas au niveau. Non seulement la chambre était vétuste (joints de douche moisis, peinture qui s’écaille, faux plafond qui menace de tomber dans la salle de bain à chaque ouverture de porte), mais elle était également très sale. Les poussières n’avaient pas été faites depuis des mois, on a retrouvé des faux cils sur la table de nuit (ce qui prouve qu’un chiffon n’a même pas été passé dessus), des traces suspectes sur le plafond de la salle de bain, une cacahuète sous le lit, bref. Inacceptable

Hôtel très bien placé. Tout est là pour que le séjour se passe bien.
Accueil propre et agréable. Piscine superbe, salle de sport.
Grande chambre propre, .sdb très bien.
Mais … pour un hôtel dormir sur des lits de camp est inadmissible ! La literie est pourrie, le sommier avec les barres de fer a l ancienne… Tellement dommage vu le potentiel qu offre cette hôtel.
Petit dej bien, mais en heure de pointe, difficulté à être réactif sur le réassort. Les œufs brouillés sont immangeable. À ce demander si c est des œufs. Le reste est très bien.

Les chambres, le personnel, les services, la piscine et le bar-restaurant sont les points forts de cet hôtel situé en plein centre-ville.
Seuls la proximité du centre commercial avec une population parfois bruyante et la mauvaise éducation de certaines personnes dans la piscine ont été les petits points négatifs.

Ik kom hier al jaren en ben erg geschrokken van de slechte service. Had een kamer geboekt met het nummer van de kamer erbij. Was niets van bekend. Nu een kamer, beiden slecht ter been.... waar je lang moest lopen. Geweigerd. En uiteindelijk een invalide kamer gekregen. Waardeloos

L'hôtel est bien situé, un parking payant mais juste en dessous de l'hôtel est facilement accessible, les chambres sont spacieuses et le PDJ très bien, le bar est Cosy et le personnel souriant

Cet hôtel est vraiment bien situé en plein cœur de cette belle ville de Metz. Il nous a permit de profiter et de redécouvrir la cité. Les chambres sont spacieuses et agréables. Le petit déjeuner face à la piscine nous donne à rêver d'un autre séjour avec l'été enfin revenu.
