Restaurant cosy du très chic hôtel la Fantaisie proposant une cuisine créative haute en couleur avec des produits locaux

C'est le restaurant du très chic hôtel la Fantaisie, en plein cœur de la rue Cadet. Aux commandes, la cheffe Dominique Crenn, véritable star de la gastronomie outre-Atlantique, et qui insuffle aux brigades en cuisine son talent pour donner lieu à des créations hautes en couleur, fines, réalisées avec des produits locaux : riz croustillant et anchois fumés de Cantabrie, pomme de terre avec plancton et pickle de céleri, tacos aux ormeaux et avocats ! Le lieu, enfin, cosy et chaleureux en diable, ne manquera pas de vous plaire. Réservation recommandée !

I’d give this place -100 stars if I could. Edit - very strange for a management to leave a comment saying that this review is a compliment and that they will pass along these kind words to the chef. I got food poisoning and it isn’t very funny to me, so I’m not sure why management thinks my complaint is funny. I got food poisoning and in my country it is illegal to poison people. I don’t know what the laws are in France around food poisoning, but I certainly will be eating from a grocery store the next time that I visit Paris.

I ate here twice during my Paris vacation - I loved it that much. It was some of the most delicious and inventive dishes I've had in awhile. I had the scallop, tuna tartare, the "fish & chips" and the sea bream with the side of potatoes. I'm still thinking about that damn potatoes! Really wonderful meal and beautiful space.
Service is the only thing that can be improved. The waitstaff are knowledgeable about the dishes, but not super attentive (never came around to see if we needed more wine, for instance). Otherwise I highly recommend!

Très bonne ambiance.
La décoration est sympathique.
Le repas était excellent.
Le meilleur était le service. Maria est géniale. Nous avons été accompagnés tout au long du repas et c’est très agréable.

Très bel établissement avec une cuisine étonnante, délicieuse et saine L’accueil est parfait, sourire, explications garantis. A notre prochaine escapade à Paris nous reviendrons sans hésiter découvrir des nouvelles propositions. Merci à toute l’équipe et un clin d’œil à Maria.

We had great expectations, after having lived in the Bay area, we know exactly who Dominique is and how legendary her food and restaurants are - so we thought it was going to be a fantastic way to get in for a great meal - especially when you look at the menu prices compared to the Atelier in SF ;)
The decor is gorgeous and the atmosphere is lovely. Unfortunately that's kind of where it ended on our visit.
We ordered bread service (for 21 Euros, yikes) that never came. The appetizers were lovely - tartare and ceviche - but the next course was definitely not a winner. The "fish and chips" and the ikejime were both really salty and texturally challenging, to put it kindly.
I'm still super sad about it, and thought for awhile about whether or not to even review it.
