The positives first: the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Finn helped us check-in and made our arrival seamless. Tsering at breakfast always stopped to ask if we needed anything. Both are an asset to the property. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options to meet all interests. The negatives: the rooms are a bit outdated and could use a refresh. Sufficient linens weren’t always provided. There is a taxi line right outside the hotel which is good and bad - it’s convenient, but the taxi drivers fought frequently.

We are deceived by the reputation of Hilton Hotels because their hotel in Paris Opera is not deserving of 4 stars.

1. When we arrived, no one greeted us properly, especially the staff at the Hilton Honors desk. We did not feel welcome at all, no enthusiasm from the staff. Even my partner who has the gold status was not welcomed well and was not given the benefits of a Gold member.

2. When we arrived in the room, it was smaller than expected. Paying €400 per night, you would expect a room of 25sqm or more but the room was probably less than 20sqm, just enough for 2 people with 2 small carry on luggages. If you’re 2 people with large suitcases, it is impossible to have comfortable space in the room to move around.

3. The bathroom towels had hair strands on them - TOTALLY DISGUSTING for a « 4 star » hotel. There were dead insects on the ceiling as well.

4. No bedroom slippers in the room nor free bottled water (there is a refillable tumbler but you have to walk all the way to the elevator to refill every time).

5. When housekeeping cleaned the room the next day, they left their cleaning equipment on one of the desks in the room - again, TOTALLY DISGUSTING. And again, there were hair strands on the new bathroom towels. When we told front desk about the left behind cleaning equipment in the room and the housekeeping lady came to collect them, she did not even offer an apology, just « oh, c’est bon? » as she wiped the desk again with the dirty cloth that she also put on top of our personal things. Housekeeping also DID NOT refill the teabags and one pouch of grooming supplies in the bathroom.

Our experience at Hilton Paris Opera was nothing but disgusting and disappointing which is really frustrating comparing it to the service that we received in Hilton Heidelberg (which was great and nothing to complain about). I would NOT suggest going to this hotel, it is OVERPRICED for the LOW QUALITY service they provide. You can get better service for a lower price somewhere else in Paris but absolutely not this horror show.

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel, and what happened should not occur in any hotel claiming 4-star status. After my room was cleaned, I noticed that one of my personal items had mysteriously disappeared. I reported this to the front desk immediately, expecting a serious response and proper follow-up.

Instead, the hotel treated the issue as if I had merely misplaced the item. They checked their lost and found and then casually handed me the housekeeper’s email, leaving it up to me to chase down what happened. Their response included a flat statement that their staff was “not involved,” without any evidence that a real investigation had taken place. There was no ownership, no follow-up, and no real concern shown.

This kind of dismissive attitude is not acceptable at any level of hospitality, let alone a 4-star hotel. Security, accountability, and customer service were sorely lacking. I would not recommend this hotel.

My family and me stayed in Paris at this hotel for five nights. The hotel is very attentive and particularly helpful to English speakers. We had some special requests and they accommodated us and were very understanding. Nice breakfast in the morning and onsite offerings. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel. Spacious rooms for Paris. Very nice bathrooms. Friendly staff. Great neighborhood. Easy 30 minute or less walk to most attractions. Lounge breakfast was solid, other times just okay. Definitely would stay again

Such a shame - lovely old building and good location but like an empty shell - no heart. Quite big rooms but really basic and services close to zero! Nothing in the rooms - no bathroom amenities, empty fridge, paper cups no glasses, no water, not even a bottle opener (will bring one to the door and open for you but not leave it); no restaurant at weekends; queue for check-in while one of the staff just sits and does paperwork, question about late check out just gets a blunt “no” without even checking the room or telling me when check-out is. And I’m diamond status! Won’t be staying again.

Malheureusement je suis très insatisfait de l'expérience que j ai eu ce soir, j ai commandé un Burger qui m à été servi avec le dessus brûlé et des des frites de 4 mm, l absence de chef et de standards ce fait ressentir , merci à Eliot d avoir été reactif, j espère qu mon commentaire vous fera réagir car j ai peur que ce restaurant devienne un Starbucks.

I have stayed at this hotel three times. Each time I had a great experience. The rooms are nice, the location is convenient and the architecture of the lobby is beautiful. But the best thing here is the staff, who look after you perfectly. A clear recommendation for a stay in Paris.

Just spent 4 nights in the Hilton Paris Opera in May 2025. There is no doubt that this is a beautiful hotel, especially the lobby bar, but it has some flaws. We stayed in an executive suite which gave us access to the executive lounge, it was handy for a light breakfast and drinks. The bed was very comfortable and we didn’t hear much noise from outside or neighbouring rooms which was nice. It’s located right next to a train and metro station which is convenient also. The not so good was the room itself is dated, and small things like having the conditioner bottle empty and not filled (even after asking the concierge to have it filled), and the blow dryer did not work. All in all it’s minor flaws but for the price of the room I would expect better. Just to high of a price to give it 4 or 5 rating, but if price doesn't matter then I would recommend this hotel.

J’y suis venu pour fête nos 1an d’anniversaire avec ma copine, nous avons pu avoir un accueil formidable, en plus de celle d’AMEX. Très impressionné par la qualité et la rapidité des services.

Je recommande fortement pour tout type d’événement ou bien juste pour une halte à Paris

Yikes! Love the location, but dislike the room. They are quiet though! Do NOT pick 5th floor (top floor) if possible. This is an old hotel and the top floor back in the days were reserved for maids. Room is tiny, smaller than the NYC hotels, and the ceiling height is 8 ft, the other floors seem to be taller. A lot of random ceiling supports in the room too, so you don't end up with the full rectangular room. I don't think I'd be back here again, had a much better stay at Hilton Canopy Eiffel Tower at Trocadero.

comfortable beds, lovely shower. No hand rails at the stairs at the entry to the hotel and in the lobby. No plug in the bathroom for the hair dryer either. other than that it was a pleasant stay, not near any of the major sites, but the Lafayette Galleria was pretty darn nice.

The hotel was excellent; the breakfast was superb, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the air conditioning was inadequate, resulting in uncomfortably warm temperatures. Additionally, a malfunctioning drawer in the wardrobe proved inconvenient.

Sehr schönes Hotel in Paris, perfekte Lage zur Stadterkundung und wirklich sehr freundlich und hilfsbereites Personal! Wir hatten ein Deluxe Zweibettzimmer im 5. Stock mit Blick auf die Rue Saint Lazare. Die Fenster sind sehr schalldicht, man hört nur sehr wenig von draußen. Gleichzeitig hatte man wirklich einen schönen Blick. Das Zimmer selber war typisch für Paris, nicht sehr groß aber clever eingerichtet und bot alles was man für einen Städtetrip braucht. Auch für unsere Koffer war genügend Platz. Besonderes Highlight was das Badezimmer, dieses war relativ groß und wunderschön mit Mosaik gefliest. Eine Bodenheizung, eine Regendusche sowie große Spiegel und ein eigenes Fenster machten Bad perfekt. Wir haben mit Frühstück übernachtet und auch hier kann man nur ein sehr großes Lob aussprechen! Frischgepresster Orangensaft, Lachs und andere exquisite Speisen auf dem Buffet sowie die Möglichkeit frisch zubereitete Speisen direkt aus der Küche zu bestellen. Wir hatten Omlettes und Spiegeleier. In Frankreich hatte ich noch nie so ein reichhaltiges Frühstück, auch hier war das Personal überaus aufmerksam und zuvorkommend! Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen. Touristische Attraktionen sind sowohl fußläufig erreichbar, aber auch Bahnhof, Bus und U-Bahn Stationen sind direkt neben dem Hotel gelegen. Es war ein wirklich gelungenes Wochenende, großes Lob geht an Johann von der Rezeption, sowie Magdalena vom Frühstück!

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. Very kind and accommodating staff, from the bellmen to the front desk, from the restaurant to the maintenance department. The room was very quiet with an extremely comfortable bed and very fluffy pillows. The bathroom had a heated floor and the rain shower had ample hot water. The buffet breakfast was extremely varied with something for everyone, and the food was delicious. The executive lounge was well stocked and had a terrific happy hour each evening. The location is also great - nearby metro stop and walking distance to great shopping areas/sites. I could go on and on, but it will sound like i was paid to write this review. I wasn't!

People were nice, but the service does not meet its brand name comparing to the Hilton hotels I have stayed in the other cities and countries.

Arrived around 8:30 on a Sunday night, did not see anyone near the revolving doors. I was okay to carry my two large suitcases few stairs up and through the doors, but I would expect a little bit more. Unless people are get off earlier in Paris.

The carpets were kind of old style, make it feel dirty.
We did not have any shower gel or lotion in the room until the third day. I did not know the customer needs to remind them the bottles were empty. Maybe it is a Paris thing?
And the wifi signal in my room was not good. The kid cannot even watch videos on the phone.

The best part so far was the eating experience every morning. The service was great: everyone was nice and smiling and the croissant was so good. I ate at least one each day even I was on a keto diet.

Updates: already saw improvement one day after the original review post. I guess someone does read the google review. Thanks.

Location was fantastic and walkable distance to almost everything in the city you'd want to visit. Area is very safe feeling and people here are very polite to people from US who may not speak the best French. Hotel and staff are top class and go out of their way to help you with your stay. Executive lounge has selection of sodas, water, snacks, happy hour and super friendly helpful staff. Public transport is a very closeby and easy to access, concierge is extremely helpful for this as well and will help with booking things. Overall an A+ stay overall and will be our go to hotel when staying in Paris going forward.

We stayed here in early March for 8 nights and were very satisfied with our stay. Our 3rd floor room was spacious (twin beds together) and comfortable. The maid service was excellent. The breakfast each morning was delightful, with plenty of options and not excessively crowded. The concierge and staff were very helpful, even when we had a broken lamp that needed fixing. We used them for Musee tickets, taxis, luggage service and advice. The location cannot be beat. I would recommend this hotel and would use it again next time we come to Paris.
