Absolutely superb, world-class service from Sophie. So warm and friendly, she made a huge difference in our meal.
Chose the 7 course tasting menu, and glad we did, because each dish was delicious. Asparagus + mousseline in particular was a revelation.
Will definitely return. Asking us about our visit and adding a note in chocolate was a great touch.

Well, I understand that in this hotel a coffee can cost 16 euros, after all the status and prestige of the hotel allows.
However, when they bring you a dish that should have truffles in it, but instead of them they put black crumbs in the dish, it's too bad! Substituting truffles means spoiling the flavour of the dish, we were not happy with this deception. There was no response to the comments. Service is cold, not friendly

Well sadly enough, we went there last night 8pm dinner. Service was phenomenal, the people and servers were amazing. The food was superr delicious. The Problem.... wife and i both got food poisoning.. both of us throwing up just hours from being there. Never experienced such tragedy after a $650+ euro meal.. thats right 2michilin star restuarant, $650+ that gave us food poisoning. Rest of our Paris trip ruined ???? very upset and disappointed. The wife has it much worse than me, this is terrible. When they're open I'll be calling in and speaking to a manager... ruined not only 650+ that night, but we also had non-refundable restaurants reservations that we miss because we are stuck in bed! Not to mentions plans for this paris trip.. This restaurant cost me over a 1k+ missing out on our vacation in Paris. Can't recommend

We came to France for our honeymoon and this was our first Michelin-starred dining, one of 9 around France during our trip. Out of sheer luck in timing, we caught L”Orangerie when it was upgraded from a 1-star to a 2-star Michelin restaurant earlier in the year. Located inside the Four Seasons George V, the restaurant has just 6 tables inside with large windows facing the beautiful courtyard of the hotel and Le Cinq, the 3-Michelin starred restaurant next door. The amount of money the hotel spends on flowers daily is astronomical but the opulence shows as is beautiful.
To start, this place is underrated. The Chef provides 3-star quality food at 2-star pricing. When we were done with our honeymoon, 7 of the 9 Michelin trips were to 3-starred restaurants and we thought L’Orangerie was better than half of these at two-thirds the price.
The pescatarian menu is inventive, well balanced in preparation and flavors, and creatively displayed. Most importantly, it was downright delicious. The simplest things like bread were served with seaweed butter which was full of umami and incredibly addictive. The baby squid with fresh herbs, watercress, and matcha was perfectly soft combining just the right amount of umami flavors. I can say that it was the best tasting squid I’ve ever had in my life so far. Then the next course of green asparagus with cloudy rice fermentation and blended mousseline was perfectly cooked. Normally, asparagus is prepared with heavier elements such as butter and cream but this sauce was light, acidic, and counterbalanced by crunchy veggies. I probably had asparagus at every Michelin dinner during our trip and this was easily top 2, possibly even my favorite. Every dish kept hitting with the spider crab, the milky morels, langoustine, sea bream, and blue lobster. Both my wife and I were blown away by the flavors.
This great momentum was slowed when the desserts came as the two courses lacked the flavors of the savory courses’ prior. Perhaps something with a bit more citrous and acid to lighten the palate and start the salivation as the Pompona vanilla vacherin with candied Carpentras strawberries lacked depth of flavor and finishing the dinner for something richer and sweeter than a Samana chocolate and sea grapes?
Beyond the food, the staff here were wonderful. They are friendly, genuine, inquisitive, and caring. When I was looking through the wine list and commenting at the amazing prices compared to the US, they even brought over the larger wine list from Le Cinq for me to browse while dining. The next night, we were back at the hotel to dine at Le Cinq and when I walked past some of the staff on my way to the bathroom, they remembered my face and asked how our dinner was going at Le Cinq. The server even remembered that I was wanting to try a Coche Dury Meursault and asked if I had gotten it at Le Cinq. They made us feel like friends who were checking in to see how we were doing even when we weren’t dining there.
This is an exceptional restaurant, especially for its price. If they continue this path and fine tune the dessert, 3-stars may be coming their way in a few years. We’re planning on coming to this restaurant every time we’re in Paris and to say hello again to the wonderful staff.
A bientot!

Absolutely great experience
We had the pleasure of dining in this wonderful restaurant. It was a truly memorable experience. The food was exceptionally delicious, the wine pairing outstanding and the service impeccable.
And while not cheap the price is reasonable compared to other restaurants in Paris in the same class.
Thank you to Christopher, for the wonderful service - unfortanetly I didn't catch the name of your female colleague

I shared a 7 course tasting menu with my girlfriend on Aug 12 2024. We elected to keep the menu a surprise and had the sommelier select a bottle to pair with the menu based on his expertise.
We were both left stunned by the taste and presentation of the dishes, as well as the level of service provided. The Four Seasons courtyard and lobby was a perfect backdrop for the experience as well.
The highlights for me were:
The wine; a perfect pairing for the menu. The sommelier selected a 2020 Bernard-Bonin Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres. This proved to be one of the most enjoyable wines I have ever had the opportunity to taste.
The pescatarian plates were perfect for the very hot weather (39°C on the day) when we visited. The plates left me completely satisfied and amazed.
The sauces to accompany the plates tended to be airy and light and with so much flavor. I found myself making all excuses to order more bread to enjoy more of the sauces, the plankton butter was also excellent on the breads.
After more than 3 hours dining and enjoying every second of it; I finished with a simple espresso.
My better-half elected to have the hot chocolate. Note to all chocolate lovers , this hot chocolate preparation is not to be missed!
The experience that Chef Alan and his team provided is one I don't think I will ever forget.
Thank you Chef Alan and the entire staff at L'Orangerie for the incredible experience.

Sehr empfehlenswert.

We Had a fantastic meal here, one of the best I've had not only in Paris but worldwide. Not only is the hotel and courtyard absolutely stunning to look at, the service was professional yet friendly. The food was beautifully plated and each dish was thoroughly explained. The flavours of the wine pairing worked well with each dish. Must visit if you are a seafood lover! Would love to visit again on our next trip

We enjoyed the five course experience and it was divine. With chef gratis dishes, palette cleansers, and our five courses, we left full and with only one regret: that the experience could continue all night.
The Chef and staff went above and beyond to make my milestone-birthday cuisine a special one. Expressing thanks does not capture the gratitude with which I have departed from this magnificent establishment.
Merci beaucoup, Chef, Alexia, Julien, Martina, et Tiffan.
