Bravo ! Ne changez rien !!

OH MY GOSH! Our favorite of the favorites!!! Our friends recommended we try Le Bistrot d'Henri on our trip to Paris and we are so glad we made it! The most charming bistro! It's tiny and full of life and amazing food. The staff (owners?) made us feel so very welcome from the first second we entered the establishment. Make sure you have a reservation, they fill up quickly and tables do not stay empty for long. Honestly, I wish I could give this 10 stars! It was quite a surprise when they had to pull the table out in order for my husband to have a seat, but it was also quite fun to almost share dinner with your neighbor. You can't help but to strike up a conversation and you definitely get a peek at other dishes. We ordered red wine and a white wine spritz which was so refreshing! We kept our tradition of ordering snails with each dinner and they were so tasty. My husband ordered the bone marrow and said it was divine - me, I'll take his word for it - not my idea of delicacy. LOL. His Beouf Borguingnon was tender and delicious. So much so, that I was inspired to order it at another restaurant later in the week, but, alas, it wasn't close to competing with this stuff. I had the Chateaubriand with green pepper sauce and my, oh my, oh my! When I say I wanted to lick the plate, please believe me! I had to hold myself back! The meat was perfectly cooked at medium rare and perfectly seasoned. The sauce was delightful and the little explosions of crunchy peppercorns had me digging for more of them. This is a staple on our list of recommendations and future visits. You will fall in love with this place!

Mutlaka denenmeli

One star for poor service.
Despite showing up in time with a reservation, while one table was open, they made me wait extended time and seated other two people that showed up after me.
Not sure why such high review. I should have known better not using "Hotel booklet's recommendation".
Amesphere is bad, as you're packed like a sardine, shoulder to shoulder with other tables.
I'm kinda glad I walked out, the restaurant is a mobile deadspot with no internet, and seems to be a tourist focused restaurant.
Give it extra star since I didn't try their food.
So many great restaurants in the same area to choose from, why settle for less.

Delicious and traditional off-the-beaten-path bistrot I found on Google Maps after trying to go to Brasserie des Pres. I ordered the boeuf bourguignon and the steak au poivre. Both were excellent.

Scratching my head a bit about all the excellent reviews here. Never been in such a crowded space, basically sitting shoulder to shoulder with the adjacent tables, not like Parisian bistro crowded, but like overly packed crowded. Service was friendly but a bit forgetful and inconsistent. Some tables got bread or little sausages as a welcome, some did not. The bread was not great either.
The duck we had was decent but the pork was inedible- tough as old boots. So many better choices in Paris and we were disappointed that we chose this one.

Nice atmosphere, although a little cramped. Entrees all wonderful. The escargot did not come in shells, and not the best I have had. Big problem was service. Friendly, but very rushed. Wanted to take order instantly, and if we wanted more time, came back in two minutes. Everything came out instantly. We were done in an hour. A bit too rushed.

For the price, the food was excellent! We ordered a three course meal and shared a bottle of wine. The portion sizes were perfect for the set.

You will need to book in advance, however, since this place is a local favourite.

Wow! We brought our kids to experience this as we had stumbled across this place many years ago and had the best time, we were so happy to learn it still existed. Absolutely exquisite, the service is impeccable, just an absolute must for an authentic, Parisian experience.

Dommage...

What can I say I just came back from here and wow! Wanted to write the review whilst it was fresh in my mind.
I am from the UK and was recommended this restaurant and I can see why! It was easy to make a reservation on Google.

It is tiny, they literally have to pull the tables out so you can squeeze in but it is cosy and the atmosphere is homely and comforting. Great service quick & friendly but not rushed.

To start we had rocket & Parmesan salad & tomato and mozzarella salad. for mains 2 x boeuf bourgeon & crème brûlée and chocolate mousse for dessert! + lots of complementary baguette. It was all amazing fresh good quality french comfort foods. (+ 2 beers and a bottle of still water = €102)

I would recommend to family and friends and hope to come back again in future.

We were very excited to eat here because of the high ratings and great-looking photos, but unfortunately, we left disappointed.

One of us ordered the entrecôte cooked medium, but it arrived well done. When we mentioned it, the staff offered to bring a new one. However, the replacement was practically raw. My friend didn’t want to make a fuss, but it was actually inedible and she couldn’t even cut through it, so we mentioned it to the staff again. This time, they took it back and cooked it well done again, not medium as requested, but by then, we just let it go.

Another friend ordered the lamb, which started off well but was cold in the middle, as if it had been microwaved but not heated thoroughly. We didn’t mention it because we didn’t want to cause more trouble.

I had the boeuf bourguignon, which was well-prepared with nothing negative to say about it. Which is why I will not rate it 1-star.

Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially for my friends, and it didn’t live up to the high expectations set by the reviews.

My husband and I stayed in Paris for a full week, and dinner at Le Bistrot d'Henri was our absolute favorite dining experience of the whole vacation. The food was excellent (I had duck, he had boeuf bourguignon), the atmosphere charming. The place is small, so it is probably best to make a reservation, but we just walked in at 7 pm and got a table. I recommend it most highly.

We had a wonderful meal at Le Bistrot d’Henri. It was top notch from start to finish. One of our favorite meals in Paris. The steak and duck were prepared beautifully, and the service was excellent. We were recommended to come here by a friend, and would repeat our visit again.

This was our favourite dinner we had while in Paris. The staff were so friendly and gave us a menu in English which was helpful. The atmosphere is really cozy and welcoming. I was able to experience french food as a vegetarian which was great. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Paris!

If you want to feel mistreated by a French waiter, this is your place.

The food is good, but the owners still use that old-fashioned French chauvinism whereby they believe they are superior to an Indian, an Italian or a Spaniard. They forget that many of us are polyglots and we understand all their offensive comments towards us with other tables.

Special message to the fat waiter: while you will continue serving meat dishes to tourists, we will be traveling the world, spending our non-French money and laughing at you.

Thank you!

Tiny quintessential French bistro. Loved the atmosphere, and the food. They offer an English menu and suggestions for what to eat. The marrow was delicious as was the bourguignon.
