Verrassend! vraag om kamer aan de voorzijde. Altijd een fijn hotel om te verblijven. Aardige eigenaar.

let wel op, echt niet met te veel mensen in de lift!

After seeing all of the positive reviews I was very disappointed in my stay here. In summary my issues stemmed from a culture of dishonesty within the hotel organization and suboptimally functional facilities. I would not recommend nor stay here again. My complaints are outlined in much more detail below.

To address the (relatively) unchangeable first. The rooms are small even by Europeans standards. Add in a poor design layout and it was barely tolerable for 4 days with one person. It was advertised as 17m2 but felt much smaller due to the design elements on the curved wall and wasted space by the windows due to their electric curtains. while these give a modern aesthetic I'd rather have the 3 inches of space around the bed. I can't imagine 2 people in my room or the 12m2. The wardrobe would only hold a carryon and not a medium size/checked bag. Additionally the toilet closet is strangely next to the front door and opposite the shower and sink, requiring a trip across the entire room to wash one's hands.
The laminate and plastic design elements while appearing somewhat modern lead to a very cheap appearing aesthetic.

When I arrived the room was quite warm (I'm guessing 23-25C as the heater was set at 22 and not running), I couldn't turn on the air conditioning and when I called to inquire about this I was told it "automatically" turned off due to the unseasonally cool weather. I stressed that despite the morning being cool (but warming that afternoon), it was quite warm in the room and that I booked a room with ac for that reason. I was told 3 times it was all automatic and thats just the way it is-- to open the balcony door to cool the room. I didn't book a room with natural cooling and could have for €50+/night cheaper nearby. Add in the ?food smells and bugs outside, I said this wasn't an option and it was only after the 4th time when i said to send someone for my bags and I would come down to speak to someone about checking out and get a refund did he say "let me do something for you". The ac came on within a few minutes. If the solution was that simple there is NO reason it shouldnt have been accommodated the first time I asked. This is terrible customer service/ hospitality and can only be explained by the hotel being too cheap to run the heat and ac in the same day and for a 4 star at these prices is completely unacceptable. I have many times in winter, outside temps below freezing with snow, had to start the ac in hotels as the common areas and surrounding rooms transfer too much heat. If I book a room with ac it should be available ANY time otherwise it should be advertised on their website as "seasonal" or "situational" air conditioning and I would know to stay elsewhere. Additionally starting a stay off by lying to customers sets a terrible tone and creates mistrust for the entire stay and brand.
On check out I again mentioned these problems and the gentleman said it was french law to have the AC off below certain temperatures. However at my hotel across town the AC worked well from the beginning for the 3 previous days despite being cooler outside all 3 days. Either that hotel was breaking the law or this is another bending of the truth that seems so common at this hotel.

Key card demagnetized twice during a 4 night stay, and based off the staff's response seems to be a c
The "Gym Room at The Jules & Jim Hotel" isn't in fact in the hotel. It's a room in another building, across the street, Requiring an escort for admission to (not key card controlled). It's mostly a rower, bike, and cable machine, dumbbells only go up to 10kg so fairly limited but nice equipment. My issue here is that like so many things at this hotel it's a little bit of false advertising to call it a gym AT the hotel when it's in an entirely different building across the street with a separate address.

I stayed at this hotel in MAY 2025 (my second stay). The ATMOSPHERE is definitely trendy, but most important is the SENSE OF CALM, PRIVACY and SPACE (even though it is a small boutique hotel). It is a fantastic place to escape to relax and recharge. The STAFF are EFFICIENT and WANT TO HELP. The ROOMS are MODERN and clean, the BEDS are COMFORTABLE and the SHOWERS ARE GREAT. To get any better would also mean you would pay a lot more. Thanks for another great experience!

Excellent service, friendly and effective. Relaxing, secluded and quiet bar area.Good breakfast at a sensible price, cheaper than the rip-off cafés nearby. Would stay again when next in Paris.

The best part of our stay is hard to limit to one! The staff were incredible. Kelly, Nicholas, Regis and Simon were all so helpful and kind. The breakfast area and bar are light an airy! After a tiring day of getting about, to be able to sit in the lovely bar and sip a gin and tonic was so relaxing. The hotel's location was near restaurants, cafes and the Metro. Our room was comfortable and easily accessed by an elevator.. We had our own balcony to sip lattes or have chacuterie. The bar had excellent cocktails and great food. This was our second stay at Jules & Jim and we highly recommend it.

We stayed at Jules & Jim for 7 nights. We stayed in room 82 with a small balcony which we loved. The room, like all hotel rooms in Europe, was smaller than what you would find in the US but adequate for our needs. The skylights of room 82 provided a ton of natural light, the balcony was our favorite part, and we both found the bed comfortable. The location was ideal! The one thing we would have liked for 7 days was a fridge to keep bottled water cold. If we're ever back in Paris, we will certainly look to stay here again.

Adorable boutique hotel. There are elevators for some parts and if there’s not for your part of the building, the staff helps you settle in and out by picking up the bags. Right in the heart of Marias which was perfects even for offered two complimentary mocktails upon checkin. The rooms were very tasteful, highly recommend the Jim rooms for 2. Very spaciously designed. Was also nice to be in the heart of the city but not be crowded with noise. They had a little bar garden too which was really cute

Jules and Jim was an exceptional experience in Paris. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff is extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Situated in a vibrant neighborhood, the location is ideal, off the busy, noisy main streets. Easy to navigate around the city.

It's the worst place I have stayed in for $300+ a night. Pictures on the website are completely misleading. Terrible rooms! A bed faces 5 doors inside No view! Even the top floor is blocked from any view. The hotel is very good with email correspondence and collecting your non-refundable money swiftly.

Location is fantastic. We were fortunate to have one of the 2 ground floor rooms which are wheelchair accessible and therefore very spacious. The bed was super comfy and the walk in shower is terrific. The only negatives were lack of tea/coffee making facilities (though admittedly we were only 2 steps from the bar), and the lack of sockets. There were 2 in the bedroom but low down. There was no mirror in the bedroom so inconvenient for using the hairdryer. We found some of the staff to be a little offhand at times - maybe that's just a cultural difference! We had the "express" breakfast of juice, coffee and croissant which was good, though there are also lots of coffee shops on the doorstep. The hotel is very smart and clean. Everything looked fresh and new. I would certainly recommend it

Terrible rooms. Hotel website pictures and desciptions are misleading and bogus. The view is completely blocked all around by buildings. A bed inside the room faces 5 doors: Bathroom door, shower door, closet door, entrance door, and one for the porch I had from which there is no view either.

I’m staying solo in Paris this time, and Hotel Jules et Jim has been the perfect choice. It’s in the best part of the Marais—close to everything, but still peaceful and tucked away.||The whole experience feels really exclusive and thoughtfully designed. The elevator goes straight to the room, which adds a nice sense of privacy and calm. It honestly felt like having my own little Paris hideaway.||The staff have been incredibly friendly and welcoming—warm, helpful, and always smiling. They really make you feel like more than just a guest.||Huge thanks to the amazing team at Hotel Jules et Jim. You made this solo trip feel extra special. I’m already looking forward to coming

Great hotel but remotely located -
The hotel itself is super clean, very cosy and the stuff are really helpful and kind.
The location is a bit far from the nearest metro stations or the center of the Marais. The streets leading to the hotel are not so pleasant at night.

2nd time at J&J and it was FABULOUS. Perfect Haute Marais location (so in old-style language both 'cool' and 'proper'). All staff so helpful and friendly and polite at all times. It is very cute and stylish and a lovely place to stay. We had fab views from the 7th floor Hi Mac but it is a tight fit with the large bed but good for a w/end (no longer). Will definitely stay there next time we're in Paris. It is a memorable and special hotel :-)

This is a nice boutique hotel with a great staff. Location is walkable to most tourist attractions, but consider how far you want to be from a metro spot. We stayed in a Hi-Mac room, and really enjoyed it (especially the shower)! This was a nice place to sample Le Marais without being in the thick of it.

Excellent hôtel très original, mon préféré, calme, bar, terrasse végétalisée dans cour intérieure, chambres contemporaines, propres. On s’y sent comme chez soi. Ambiance décontractée et accueil sympa, quartier animé et très cool et branché.
