Prix excessifs pour un service et des plat qui ne suivent pas. Aucune bouteille de vin à prix abordable. Un restaurant clairement destiné à une clientèle touristique fortunée.

Après un accueil aimable et chaleureux de la part du personnel, les choses se gâtent: on commande un „pichet“ de vin pour l’apéritif, on reçoit deux verres. Les entrées clairement demandées l’une après l’autre arrivent en même temps. Prix des vins exorbitants voire inacceptables. 57 Euros la portion de 6-7 cuisses de grenouilles!!! Montant de l’addition très élevé sans grande surprise, mais sans aucun rapport avec la qualité des plats. On ne reviendra pas!

Tonight we had the best Dinner we could have had on our trip to Paris. Not only was the place a little cozy restaurant in a small side street of busy city center with lovely stuff. It was the best traditional French cuisine. Not modern not fusion not extravagant. Just what it is. Classic. Tasty. Delicious. If you are searching for the real French cuisine taste go here. The stuff is happy to help you with the French menu (no English available) and give you recommendations. I shared the signature dish poule au pot with my older daughter. And my husband the filet steak with our younger daughter. We experienced an unforgettable evening and felt a little bit like ratatouille movie especially when the Chef came and gave a chef's hat to the girls. Thank you!

Firstly, all of the staff were incredibly nice and hospitable. I felt welcome and attended to throughout my dining experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant felt filled with tourists and the food was just okay. I was looking for more of an authentic French bistro and instead found myself in the middle of a Trip Advisor “go to” list. The meal was decent but overpriced and the wine list was extensive but missing some of the options. I just wish it were better.

I have NO idea why there are negative reviews for this delightful & delicious spot!
Every dish I've ever had here is AMAZING, the atmosphere is charming, and the staff have always gone above & beyond! They also used to be open when we'd fly late at night, which was just wonderful. I hope they've resumed that since Covid rules have relaxed.
Regardless, I cannot recommend it more highly! The foie gras & warm goat cheese salad are must-haves at each visit, and all dishes have been superb. It's cozy and welcoming, and you can tell by all the little brass plaques of celebrity regulars that it's worth many a repeat visit!

Michelin restaurant? I don’t think so.
Good evening! The restaurant offers good cuisine, but the service needs improvement. The appetizers and main courses are tasty, but they don’t create a wow effect. There are issues with the service: they don’t clear the glasses, they don’t change the tablecloth for dessert—and in general, it’s shabby (for a restaurant with a high price tag and a Michelin star). They didn’t offer tea or coffee with dessert. After serving the dishes, they don’t say “enjoy your meal” to mark the end of the service and the start of the guests’ dining experience. If it were just an inexpensive restaurant, we would have given it a five. But this is Michelin, and that means reputation. We are very disappointed and do not recommend it.

After a day of museums, some shopping and much walking, La Poule au Pot was a perfect end to our day. Slightly off the beaten path. Comforting, welcoming atmosphere. Delicious, hearty food. And to top it off, a delightful staff who were so welcoming to our family.

Overall, a very disappointing dining experience. We had to remind the wait staff to re-pour our (very expensive) wine that we purchased by the bottle. Despite notifying a staff member of a nut allergy, a dish containing pistachios was still placed on the table and after receiving the bill, we were left waiting far too long to actually pay. We also mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, which was completely overlooked.
Adding to the poor experience, we saw two groups of locals leave the restaurant without even eating — which was definitely not a good sign.
Given how excited we were to dine here, the whole experience fell well short of expectations. We paid €306 for what was ultimately average food and poor service. Wouldn’t recommend.

Nous avons été sincèrement très déçus du Restaurant la Poule Pot.
L’accueil était quasi inexistant, il a fallu attendre un long moment avant que quelqu’un vienne nous installer. Ensuite, nous avons attendu longtemps de nouveau pour avoir les menus. Les serveurs n’étaient pas mal polis mais semblaient totalement démotivés.
De plus, nous avons été très mal placés : juste à la sortie de la cuisine, où les serveurs passent sans cesse.
Aussi, compte tenu de l’endroit, nous avons trouvé le choix de la musique d’ambiance très bizarre ; « Europe – The Final Countdown » serait plus adapté à un bar PMU. Ensuite, nous avions sans cesse un son de chants d’oiseaux pour signaler aux serveurs que les plats étaient prêts en cuisine.
Les plats étaient corrects, sans plus. Les frites étaient molles, le riz trop sec et la sauce trop salée pour les deux plats. Nous n’avons pas pris d’entrée, ni de dessert.

Malísima experiencia, la comida sin sabor, cruda y fría y te atienden las personas más amargadas que te puedas imaginar, es como si su misión es lograr ofrecer el peor servicio al cliente de París, no sé si hay un premio para esto, en todo caso se lo ganaron. Esa estrella Michelin es una verguenza que se la sigan dejando.

C'était une soirée formidable!
Peut-être un des rares restaurants à proposer une cuisine 100% française. Produits d'exception et de qualité! Le prix correspond à la qualité et au service. Le service est à la hauteur de la cuisine proposée. Les serveurs.ses sont très compétents. Ils savent te proposer du bon vin, des plats, etc.

Tres bonne cuisine traditionnelle et cadre chaleureux. Quel dommage qu’ils diffusent une musique de mariage: l’Aventurier, les démons de minuit et femme des années 80!
Malgré deux demandes polies de baisser le son, le personnel n’a pas réagi.

J'ai dîné dans ce restaurant récemment et je dois dire que la nourriture était excellente. Chaque plat était savoureux.
De plus, le personnel était très à l'écoute et attentif, ce qui a rendu notre expérience encore plus agréable. Petite mention spéciale à Fanny et Yori !
Je recommande vivement ce restaurant à tous ceux qui cherchent à passer un bon moment !

Mamadu and Yuri are amazing employees, they enhanced the experience to one of the best of my life. It was special ocasion for my wife and they were very kind and helped me with a surprise! Food is amazingly good and the place also amazing. Didn't have any negative points. Recommend 100%.

Finally managed to book a table at this very busy place, it was recommended by a friend who knows how much I enjoy onion soup, it’s proven to be the best I have tried in Paris, the escargot was good too but the poule au pot which is the restaurant signature wasn’t good at all, bone dry, taste less, the rice tasted as it was scraped out from the bottom of the pan after sitting there for the day it was dry and hard, I even found a Little Rock in it, I requested to take away the leftovers they wrapped it in a clean film instead packing it as most of the restaurants do, I hope it was something temporary as it would put people off of taking the leftovers home and avoid the waste as it’s the whole purpose of it.
The cream brûlée was big enough for two people.
We were lucky enough to get a table in the corner close to the door which was nice and private but the other tables are very close to each other.
The service was good.
I’d go back there but will definitely not order their chicken ever again. It was a shame as I could see the restaurant is very popular, as I was sitting close to the door I saw people getting turned around as they just turned up without reservation so the restaurant wasn’t able to accommodate.

So worth making a reservation, we had a stressful day before visiting and this dinner turned our day around, truly a gem restaurant in Paris!
We ordered the steak and frites with poivre sauce it was delicious, the waitress recommended the creme brûlée for dessert and it was the best one we have ever had!
Service was perfect will definitely return.

Oui, bien sûr, l’addition est respectable. Mais le charme des traditions respectées, dans l’assiette comme en salle , ça peut ne pas avoir de prix. Le directeur tient son rôle avec inspiration et délicatesse, rendant le moment merveilleux.

tellement décevant, c'est le veritable attrape couillon....ch ampagne servi dans un verre à vin , plus pratique nous dit-on ...du viandox en guise de bouillon de poule....le plat principale posé au centre de table avant meme avoir eu l'entrée....après 3 demandes nous avons enfin du pain en milieu de repas .... nous demandons une bouteille de vin de LOIRE le SAINT NICOLAS, on nous présente un COTE ROANNAISE en nous soutenant que c'est pareil !!!!!!
pour finir on demande un plateau de fromage pour 3 et la on nous pose une petite assiette avec 2 morceau de camenbert , un ptit saint félicien connu de tous dans les grandes surfaces l'ensemble facturé 60euros ...et une note exorbitante !!!!!

Il serait bien que de le guide michelin envoit des personnes incognito pour verifier la notoriété !!!

Aber ich kann jetzt auch die negativen Bewertungen verstehen: das Restaurant hat irgendwie ein Organisation-Problem!
Alle 3 offenen Weine, die ich von der Karte auswählte, waren nicht verfügbar - wie schwer ist es denn bitte, alle paar Wochen eine neue Karte zu drucken?
Der offene Ersatzwein war ungeniessbar, als ob es der Kochwein aus der Küche wäre (für 16€ pro Glas *könnte* der Service vielleicht vorher mal dran riechen?
Obwohl es im Restaurant noch leer war (10 Gäste) waren meine Frites zum 90€ Fleisch fast kalt (gingen zurück)... man hat die offenbar zu früh gemacht und nichtmal warm gestellt...
