Waited for our final plate for far too long at the end, was forgotten about entirely. Huge dampener on what should have been a perfectly good evening. EUR 480 for dinner for 2 felt massively overpriced and deflating, should've came during lunch instead. Blue cheese steamed bao was disappointing IMHO.

My wife and I planned our final Honeymoon meal in France to be Yam’Tcha. Absolutely perfect in every aspect - we did the wine and tea pairing as well which absolutely elevated the entire experience. Highly recommend going that route. We’ve both been to Michelin star restaurants, but none that embodied both welcoming and elevated ethos simultaneously. It’s a culinary experience where a story is told and felt profoundly and fondly. Thank you to Chef Grattard who personally served every table and the brilliant staff. After 3 weeks traveling France, it was a beautiful sendoff.

A one star Michelin that serves an amazing fusion of Chinese and French savoir faire food. The food served by cheffe Grattard accompanied by the amazing teas of tea master Chi Wah Chan take you on a real culinary travel. Great experience. Highly recommend

For our anniversary, my partner treated me to an unforgettable dinner at Yamtcha, and what a spectacular choice it was. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in an atmosphere that effortlessly blended elegance with a warm, inviting charm. The decor was impeccably curated, and the service was both attentive and intuitive, enhancing the entire dining experience.

This time, my partner opted for the tea pairing, a refreshing departure from our usual wine pairings, and it proved to be an absolute revelation. The carefully selected teas complemented each dish beautifully, elevating the flavors in ways we hadn't anticipated.

As for the food, there was no shortage of culinary delights, but two dishes in particular left an indelible mark on my taste buds. The sweet and sour octopus was an absolute standout—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of tang and tenderness. But the real surprise of the evening was the stilton bao. Now, I’m typically not a fan of blue cheese, but this bao was so harmonious in its bold flavors that I found myself looking forward to the next one.

Yamtcha, with its stunning atmosphere, exceptional service, and innovative pairing, truly delivered a dining experience worthy of celebration. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that I’m already eager to repeat.

what a special experience..the staff was great and chef brought some dishes out herself, spending the time to explain her creations to us. off of service alone their star is well deserved. the food was a special journey and though not every dish was a complete hit for me (personal tastes and preferences within seasonings), they were all delicious and i could taste the thoughtful craft. got the accompanying wine + tea pairing and loved it!

Creative thoughtful food that is incredibly approachable.

We had a wonderful meal with the wine pairing. Each bite was impeccably designed and the wine pairings were diverse, global and original. Favorite plates included beef cheek (the broth was made in heaven I think), octopus sticky rice, and on top of all the others was the blue cheese cherry bao! The venn diagram of Asian and French food made for a fun provocative overlap. The chef and wait staff were at our table regularly explaining what we were experiencing making for a high touch wonderful experience.

Highly recommend. Likely one of my favorite meals of all time. Will return!

One of the best and most interesting dining experiences I've had in a while.

The restaurant is beautiful. The decor is understated and everything looks tidy and fresh. We had something akin to a chef s table right next to the kitchen. Great if you want to see the action in the kitchen. If you want something a bit more private some of the other tables might be a better fit.

We went for the tea pairing (50 per person) to accompany the menu (190). The tea pairing is such an interesting idea and we both thought it worked really well. The tea s had unique characteristics and worked really well with the dishes.

The star was of course the food which was all amazing. The tuna dish in particular was amazing. Beautifully and interestingly paired with figs, green beans and an interesting slightly spicy marinade/sauce. The bouillabaisse and octopus were other highlights.

Service was always attentive without being intrusive. The chef was at the table herself to explain a few of the dishes patiently and always with a friendly smile.

Would warmly recommend this place for a special occasion. We will certainly be back!

Merci beaucoup !

Absolutely awful experience. Horrific attempt at creative cuisine by the most unimaginative chef. Everything tasted of salt and more salt. After the first three courses, I got sick from the salt, and after a bite of the even saltier main course of chicken and salted beef, I almost threw up. We both had to return our untouched main dishes and asked if we could leave. The chef charged us for the full menu. When we said we couldn’t eat their food because we got sick from the salt and asked if they could reduce the charge, the chef came and shouted at us, saying, "What do you do in a cinema if you don’t like the movie? You don’t get your money back." That’s what this restaurant is: a bad cinema with McDonald’s chain food that somehow got into the Michelin category.

**A Culinary Nightmare: An Overhyped Disappointment**

Where do I even start? Our evening began with the offering of stale wine, which should have been our first clue. After requesting a different bottle, we were promptly forgotten, and our wine never arrived. This set the tone for the rest of the night, a horrific descent into unimaginative cuisine.

Each course that followed was more appalling than the last. The flavors were either non-existent or overwhelmingly salty. The creativity that one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant was completely absent. By the time we reached the main course, a disastrously over-salted chicken and beef combo, I was nearly sick. We couldn’t bring ourselves to take more than a bite before asking to leave.

To add insult to injury, the chef insisted on charging us for the full menu despite our complaints. When we pointed out that we got sick from the food and requested a partial refund, the chef angrily compared it to not getting a refund for a bad movie at the cinema. This place is more like a bad fast-food joint that somehow fooled Michelin into giving it a star.

Save your money and your stomach—you're better off at a fast-food restaurant than wasting your time and money here. Michelin seriously needs to reconsider this establishment’s rating.

I had high expectations of this restaurant and watched the Chef's Table episode in anticipation, but it turned out to be one of the worst meals I had in Paris. I paid 170 euros for tasting plus 50 euros for tea pairing.

Some highlights were the rice stuffed squid with lemongrass and the lychee soursop dessert. The service for the tea pairing was very warm and welcoming! Otherwise, service was very cold. I am all for coping with mediocre service if the food is good. However - The menu felt like something Chat-GPT had spewed for a fusion Chinese and French restaurant. The combination of cheese and bao, and fuyu truffles Parma ham and chilli oil in the vegetable dumpling simply didn't work for me. Suggest to spend your money elsewhere.

A unique tasting menu fusion style. many of the dishes are wonderfully prepared by the Chef. During my visit the Chef was also coming to people’s table which brings some of warmth in the atmosphere. some good selection of wine and tea in their pairing set.
