Our dinner was delicious! Our server Sam was so funny and took great care of us, I would definitely recommend this place for a tasty dinner!

During our Paris stay, my family and I had visited Le Moulin de la Galette with the Paris City Pass and tried the wine, escargot, French onion soup, and French macarons, we felt they were ok but not exceptionally so.

Then, a day later we heard from a Montmartre local walking tour guide that this is a Michelin-starred restaurant, and the original site, with one of only two existing windmills, was a favored painting setting for famous artists like Picasso, Van Gogh, and Renoir. After checking the prices and finding them reasonable, we decided to return for a full meal to experience the place where artists once painted and to enjoy Michelin-level cuisine and service.

However, in the end, we found it disappointing, especially compared to another traditional French fine meal we had at a similar cost a few nights ago. The presentation of the food was okay, but very simple and not exceptional. One of our plates had a chipped edge and a broken handle, and another plate was not very clean; I had to wipe it off a little before taking photos. The service was very so-so; we didn't feel particularly welcome. We were sitting there, and the only interaction the server had with us was taking the order. Most importantly, the food was plain and dry, which wouldn't be expected from a fine dining experience, let alone Michelin-level.

It seems to be a popular restaurant with reasonable prices, a good atmosphere, and a good location.

Note: Escargot, macaron, and French onion soup were not part of this meal.

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to Le Moulin de la Galette. We sat in the peaceful garden area. The meal was great and the service was attentive.

席の間隔が狭いので窮屈な感じはすると思います…
オーダーの間違いがありましたが、拙い英語でなんとかなりました????
予約する日を間違えて行ったのですが、女性の店員さんが快く入れてくれました。
店内はガヤガヤしてます。

Nous sommes venus fêter l anniversaire de ma belle mère.
Au.niveau placement, nous étions un.peu à l étroit à 9 sur une table ronde. Mais surtout l attente, avec deux filles en bas âge qui avait vraiment faim. Nous avons attendu .... attendu ... attendu ... au moins juste des pâtes pour les enfants ... au moins qu elles commencent, rien ... du pain ? non plus .. il faut le réclamer aussi.
Nous avions aussi un bébé, nous avions eu l impression que ses pleurs étaient mal venus ... oui désolé c est un bébé... ca arrive que ça pleure. Très bruyant aussi à l intérieur...
Côté cuisine, j ai demandé un rumsteck saignant, je l ai eu bien cuit.. ensuite il a été changé mais l intérieur etait froid. Les moules pas exceptionnelles ..
Vraiment pas une expérience à la hauteur de ce qui peut se lire ...
Notre serveur s est excusé à la fin, ce qui nous a un peu calmé. Mais j avoue que ce n etait pas une bonne expérience.
Par contre la mousse au chocolat du menu enfant etait très bonne.

This restaurant came highly recommended. However, the treatment we received from the manager, Caroline, was unbelievably shocking. We had made 2 reservations to divide our group, as we realized they will not be able to accommodate our size. When we arrived, she was highly agitated and immediately started yelling, stating that it was very hard for her and her staff to combine all of us together. We were very confused, as we had not put in a request that those 2 reservations be joined. I repeat: we did not ask that those 2 reservations be combined. Check your records. And would we have understood that our 2 tables might potentially be separated and completely be located away from each other? Absolutely. That's the whole point of arranging 2 reservations, correct? We tried to explain this to her, but she was very irate and simply did not care to listen. Dinner was strained and uncomfortable. Her verbal attack left us with the feeling that we had inconvenienced her and her staff by choosing to be patrons of their business. In that case, we will definitely help them in this matter, as we will not be coming back, nor will we recommend this even to our worse enemies. Having travelled and visited multiple countries for decades, there has never been a time that we can recall, where we have been treated in such an undignified and unprofessional manner by someone who claims to be in the hospitality line of work. And all we wanted was to sit down to a good meal in order to end what was, up until that time, had been a very good day. Shame.

Very loud and disturbing when we eat. The risotto was hard en stubby, not like a nice one.
The frog legs was no tasty, would like them more spisy. The coq au vin was 5/5.
The waiter come out in dirty clothes.
So, a little bit disapointed.

Service was unacceptably slow and rude. Food was good but wait for each course interminable. No dessert was offered and we were presented our bill unasked for. That’s rude but I was glad because I couldn’t wait to get out after three excruciating hours of trying to get the waiters attention.

After a pleasant day in Montmarte and having amazing experiences at breakfast & lunch earlier, we wanted to end the day at a highly recommended restaurant - Le Moulin de la Galette. However, I have never been more disrespected by a restaurant manager in my life.

My group of 16 is visiting Paris & when we tried making the reservations online over a week ago, our party size was too large for the restaurant to accommodate. So to make it easier, I decided to make separate reservations of 5 and 11 people - separating the kids from the parents so that the staff wouldn’t have to stress about seating us all together.

When we arrived, the manager (Caroline) asked who made the reservations so of course I said it was me. She proceeded to yell at me in front of the whole entire restaurant (which was packed by the way) about how normally they don’t accept a party of 16 because it’s very difficult to accommodate that many people & that I should’ve made the reservation a week before.

1. Again … I made both reservations OVER A WEEK AGO
2. If you cannot accommodate a party of 11 - then why is that an option online??

I explained MULTIPLE times that the reason I made separate reservations was so that we wouldn’t have to be sat together, but this person was just foaming at the mouth & going in circles. When she finally acknowledged what I had been repeatedly telling her, she said “We have to service you as best as we can to give you a better experience” (which is ironic with how bad of a first impressions she was giving). Eventually, the first conversation ended with her saying she can seat us separately - which is LITERALLY what I was trying to say to her the entire time. Not to mention, other guests & staff members have been staring at the whole encounter.

After dinner, I decided to confront the manager about her behavior. I said
“I wanted to let you know that yelling at me in front of the whole restaurant was disrespectful & unprofessional. There was a better way of handling the situation & I hope you don’t treat your staff like you do your guests.”
She continued her same belligerent & dismissive spiel as before of not being able to seat us all together & that she only had two options :

1. To either call me & say that they couldn’t accommodate our party or
2. Do her best to fit us all together on a busy night

I told her that that was the issue - she was in the wrong for assuming. I also pointed out that for clarification I did make the reservation a week in advanced like she so desperately wanted, yet all she could respond with was an insincere apology. I explained that we are not from Paris & that we will not be visiting Moulin de la Galette again.

The food was amazing and our server was very pleasant. However, if we were to ever to be back in Paris I will not be returning to this restaurant solely because of my experience with this manager.

I arrived having made a booking several months before dining at the Moulin de la Galette. When we arrived we were told they “didn’t have our reservation” and they then proceeded us to put us in the corner next to the bar and coat rack; my head was touching somebody’s umbrella when I sat down! My guess is that there was a “reconfirmation” email that was sent on the day but given that we were out I wasn’t able to get to it. I was incredibly disappointed about this as I was really looking forward to taking family here for a nice dinner in Mont-Matre.

Expérience plus que décevante malheureusement…
Avec des amis nous avions décidé de passer une agréable soirée à Montmartre, dans un cadre chaleureux et convivial, cependant nous étions assez surpris de cette expérience.
Un ami nous avait recommandé le lieu en nous disant que les moules frites étaient particulièrement bonnes et que le service était vraiment bien. Je ne pense pas avoir dîné dans le même restaurant que lui.
En arrivant devant le restaurant, une serveuse nous demande d’attendre quelques instants avant de rentrer jusque là tout va bien, serveuse agréable, service irréprochable ? Non.
En arrivant à table, le serveur nous tutoie ? Surprise numéro 1, le respect serait il resté à l’entrée ? Vraisemblablement…
Si ce n’était que ça !
Au moment de la commande, le serveur déconseille les linguine au champignons en disant que ce n’est pas la saison, ce qui semble bienveillant jusqu’au moment où il propose à la place un plat 2 fois plus cher… erreur de marketing ou de casting ?
Nous attendons patiemment notre repas sans pain ni eau (surprise numéro 2), jusqu’au moment où le serveur arrive avec les plats (ou pas puisqu’il en manque la moitié). Surpris, nous pensons d’abord à une erreur dans le rush (le restaurant était en train de se vider mais pourquoi pas).
Le serveur ramène les moules frites sans frites? Le coq au bœuf sans les pâtes ? Et mon ami qui avait commandé une dorade se retrouve avec de la glace aux petits pois (surprise numéro 3, 4 et 5 !). En effet on lui annonce après plus d’une trentaine de minute d’attente que son plat n’est plus disponible, ce qui en soit n’est pas grave sauf quand à la place on nous sert autre chose sans nous prévenir.
Bon, pas grave me direz vous, passons outre !
On demande une corbeille de pain et des rinces doigts pour éviter d’embaumer, le serveur nous répond qu’il n’y a plus de pain, et nous propose une corbeille qui semble déjà entamé puisque enlevée à la table vide d’à côté et rassis ! Mes rinces doigts semblent passés aux oubliettes mais surprise agréable numéro 1: ils arrivent tels Jeanne d’Arc à Orléans ! #sauvés ????????
Une expérience riche en surprises, bien que la balance ne semble pas pencher vers le positif.
En tout cas mes amis et moi avons passé un agréable moment à essayer de rire plutôt que de pleurer.
J’espère que votre dîner se passera mieux que le notre ????

Although we reserved well in advance and specifically booked a table in the garden, and also received a confirmation, we did not get a table in the garden upon arrival. We were very disappointed by this, we had to seat on the road

주말이라 코스요리를 못 먹어서 아쉬웠어요. 전반적으로 손님이 너무 많아 가격대비 서비스는 만족스럽지 않았고, 음식맛은 짜지않고 맛있었습니다. 그리고 주문하려는 음식이 거의 솔드아웃이라 아쉬웠네요.

The food was fantastic, true French traditional fare. We had onion soup, Coq au Vin, Duck Confit, they were very big portions and delicious The dessert of creme brulee and chocolate mousse was perfect! Ismail even came out singing happy birthday for my husbands birthday with a candle! Thank you, Ismail!

Incroyable expérience au Moulin de la Galette. Très bien reçues par Ossman (pardon si l'orthographe est fausse). La cuisine raffinée et service convivial et très drôle ^^ on a bien profité. (On dira rien à Sébastien !)
