Really nice and clean hotel in a quiet area. Easy access to Metro. Nice neighbourhood!

Unfortunately during our stay at new hotel le voltaire in Paris property went missing from our hotel room. The hotel staff were of course immediately informed. Rather disturbingly at checkout two days later we discovered another guest also had property go missing! Two cases of property going from guest rooms in the same weekend should be taken very seriously. However we were told by the manager that the staff did not know anything about it and “it’s our word against theirs”. This was of course completely ridiculous thing to say and as a result of that we reported he matter to the police.

Despite all this, to date we have not been offered any kind of reimbursement!

We have had feedback from the hotel management that they spoke to staff after we left but it did not yield new results. What a surprise. They are very naive if they thought they thought they would get a signed and sealed confession ????‍♂️!

Being one to never give up I found another guest review on hotels.com from 2019 who also had property go missing from their room. The hotel management also replied to them and like with us they play down the issue, reaffirm their confidence in the staff and finish with a superficial “we remain at you disposal, but this seems to be more of an attempt to whitewash the issue than anything genuine because if they wanted to they could have solved it the day it happened.

I would be interested to know where does this confidence in the staff come from, it seems to be very misplaced as our case is clearly NOT an isolated one. If only they would put as much effort into resolving these issues as to manicuring their social media presence!

On their website the opine to their heritage of their first hotel in Marseilles and the spirit of a family home. In my home I can be sure when I return to it my property is where I left it. Perhaps the website is just marketing BS?

So in the spirit of your gesture to “remain at our disposal” newhotelgroup will you show the world that taking money is not your only motivation, step up to your responsibilites and finally put this right for both us and the other guests?

--> Suggestion instead of making social media friendly statements in your reply to this review about you "remaining reachable", you ahne all you need to contact us, our Data was provided to you at check in, you also have the booking references from the booking platfroms used!

Polite but ultimately superficial and meanigless statements, avoidance of answering pertinant questions, obfuscation and misrepresentation from new Hotel group in their reply in coming in 3...2...1...

Buen hotel. La atención es muy buena, todo el personal muy amoroso. Las habitaciones son pequeñas pero como todas en Paris, dos personas y dos valijas no entran. Mejor tener lo que van a usar al alcance. Más allá de eso, la habitación es cómoda, el baño espacioso, y todo está limpio. Hay caja de seguridad y pava eléctrica. Respecto a la ubicación tiene subtes cerca que conectan con muchos lados pero está lejos (caminando) de los puntos turísticos tradicionales. Es un hotel que está bueno, cómodo y seguro para quedarse en Paris.
