I have had the worse customer experience ever at the Faubourg 88 hotel. I booked and paid for a superior room on February 2025 for a 4 nights over the Easter weekend in April. I booked the room using the chat service offered by Faubourg88 hotel as it was easy and fast to use. I wanted to book a room for me, my wife and our 2 years old baby. I wanted to book a classic room but the AI system told me that I needed to upgrade it to a supervisor room in order to comply with the French law because they were considering our baby as an adult guest. So I upgraded it to a superior room paying slightly more (800 euros). They confirmed it was ok for the 3 of us so I proceeded to the payment. However, on the day of arrival (2 months after) at 13:30 they sent me an email saying only the booking was for 2 people, no more information (I m happy to share also that email here with the time and content). I arrived at the hotel at 4:30m on Thursday the 17th of April. During the checkin I was told at the reception that my booking was wrong. The hotel manager told me that I should have booked an executive room instead or 2 rooms (which would have been still ridiculous for a 2 years old baby). I did show them the chat conversation that I had with their booking system to confirm that I was right. And I was right indeed. The manager finally blamed their own booking system. But as a result I was left without a room, with a 2 years old baby and no solution offered by the hotel except for them offering help to find another room at another Hotel. I needed to to find another hotel, paying double for the same room that I could have booked 2 months earlier and all the stress that this situation caused me. The faubourg 88 manager offered to refund my money. But I ended up paying more than 1200 euros to find another room somewhere nearby. They did not offer to pay anything despite it was their system fault. When I asked why they did not let me know about their system fault before nobody had an answer! If they were just letting me about that at the time of booking or also couple of days after I would have had all the time to arrange for another accommodation. I ended up not able to choose the hotel I wanted but only choosing what was left available last minute, spending a fortune, and very distressed. Please stay away from the Best Western Hotels in Paris

I stayed at Best Western Premier Faubourg 88 for 2 nights at the start of April. It was located only an eight minute walk away from Gare du Nord, which ended up being a straight walk across one road to get there. The hotel was also about 15 steps away from the Poissonnière Metro station, which is on Line 7, so easy to get to Le Louvre, Hotel de Ville and Gare de l’Est.||Upon entering the hotel, there was a small but modern reception area. Check-in was fairly simple but I was quite surprised at being charged a €100 (per room) security deposit, which I wasn’t made aware of at the time of booking. This amount was paid back to me when I checked out (before my room had been inspected for damages), which seemed pointless. I also had to pay city taxes when I checked out, which worked out at approx €2 per night, per person.||Check out times were very convenient. I believe you could check-in from 2PM and check out before 12PM!||After check-in, I went to my room. There was a very spacious lift (especially by Paris standards) or a spiral staircase to use. The hotel only had five stories, so either option was convenient for me. There were also only six rooms per floor, so the hotel itself was very quiet.||I booked the Classic Room, which was slightly on the smaller side but was very modern and well designed. There was ample storage in the room but it was quite tight getting around the corners of the bed, so I had to keep my luggage in the space next to the door. The room had a large double bed, wardrobe, desk, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, safe, complimentary Nuxe toiletries and en-suite shower room with toilet. In addition to this, the room had two large windows overseeing a courtyard and plenty of mirrors.||The hotel staff were fantastic, very pleasant and extremely helpful. They were always on hands to answer any queries or to provide directions etc.||Breakfast was included with my stay. It was a continental breakfast selection with a small number of cooked items (sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs). The restaurant area was, again, very modern and always had tables available for guests. The breakfast period was very generous and run until 10:30AM, meaning I could take my time and eat at my own pace.||I will definitely be returning to Best Western Premier Faubourg 88 next time I am in Paris. The great price, location and facilities made my stay very enjoyable.

Horrible, traumatic experience. Rogue mafia style management which exemplifies the bitter and sleazy underbelly of Paris which unfortunately will come up more and more conspicuously as time goes.

Our stay was at the Premier Faubourg 88 location last month. My daughter and I received 5 star hospitality from the staff. The ladies were so helpful and friendly. Our room was super clean and nice, exactly as described at booking. The location was easy access to the Metro, and walking.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris !

Thank you
